The clinical term for this is palmar hyperhidrosis The doctors who perform minor surgery to alleviate symptoms indicate that it is often genetic. But one must first rule out possible illnesses that could cause these symptoms. Looking to see if there were a less invasive remedy I stumbled across this interesting pages: http://www.sweathelp.org/english/PFF_Treatment_Iontophoresis.asp http://www.sweatypalms.info/ I have never had any trouble with sweaty hands personally, but if I did, the first thing I would try would be acupressure. You would have to scroll down pretty far in following link to find them, but there are some really nice drawings and explanations of the acupressure point to stop the palmar hyperhidrosis here: http://www.shen-nong.com/eng/exam/internal_sweaty_palms.html Anecdotal information suggestions that this can be quite effective. Good luck!

Hi Itzmee, I think it will be best that you consult a derma or your doctor to give you medication about your problem. That's an excessive seating. Whatever will be the medication be obedient enough to comply with it. Good luck and it will be nice if you will share any updates about your concern once you visited your doctor.

it's okay at least you have several options to try and just in case it doesn't work it's high time for you to consult a doctor. The reason why i advise you to see a doctor is a have a friend with the same concern as you and she medicated and it was treated. I hope yours will be fine after trying some of the tips mention by our mylot friends! Stay happy and healthy!

hi itzmee I would look for a different doctor as I have seen'discussions on this and there are things that do help. so find a doctor who will help you with this as its a real problem and can be helped or even alleviated as far as that goes.

Hi Itzmee. If I were you, I'd try using some spray anti-perspirant (not plain deodorant) on the palms of the hands. The other kinds tend to make things slippery. Dr. Oz recommends doing that for sweaty feet, so it should work for the palms, too. Another thing he recommends is soaking feet (so why not hands) in warm green tea several times a day. Good luck! My mom and aunties are having the same problem as yours... In fact they bring extra 2 handkerchiefs always... I think, you can try soaking your hands in a luke warm water with salt. Leave or soak your hands for 10 to 15 minutes. It is really not a solution to stop the excessive palm sweating but it will somehow helps. It is effective to them maybe you can try that too.

I have not had a sweaty palm issue too much unless I'm extremely nervous then I can get the ole' sweaty paws but I do have a problem with sweating off all of my makeup faster than I can get it on (I suppose living in the South has a lot to do with this) I decided to try something on my own and lo and behold it actually worked.. now don't think this is crazy but before I put my makeup on I use anti persperant (not deodorant) and apply it to my face as I would any other type of lotion.. I then proceed to apply the makeup for the most part my make up stays on and flawless instead of dripping off before I'm out the door.. you may want to try using as a hand cream before starting your day.. It may help you out too and certainly can't hurt

Thanks for the tips my friend, usually i used to apply some creams for my face, but for my hands i used to wipe it out,it makes my palm more sweaty because of the cream.

I have heard of limited success with anti-perspirants. Use the non scented kind, it is the same as used for under arms.

Hi. I had the same problem in the past. Many doctors have told me to reduce the stress/anxiety level and drink lots of water. But I could not really help it the moment nervousness sets in, this is most especially during examination days. One day, an old aunt advised me to go to the sea every morning and keep my hands under the sand for five to ten minutes daily. Due to hopelessness or something, I followed her advise. I'm not really sure if I was cured because of that practice but the signs of sweaty palms disappeared after two weeks. This may be an odd way of curing the problem but I just gave it a try because the sea/beach is very accessible from our place. Plus the fact that I was really hopeless then.

I dn't sweat unless it's super hot so I dn't know what to suggest. If I were you, I would take a handkchief with me everyday. And try use some medical stick that might help stop sweat. Or go to herbalist doctor for advise.

I had the same problem in highschool, specially in exams. I would wash my hands very often to keep them cool, or use tissues to clean the sweat. It didn't make it dissapear but at least it kept them a little under control. With the years my palms began sweating less and now they sweat just normally, so I hope this will happen to you too.

hi dude, i think there is no other way other than living with this, even my friend used to have this problem, at times when writing or drawing she used to apply talcum powder on her palms, so that the sweating can be controlled for a while.. by that time she would complete writing
