Do you use the internet to make travel plans? Do you use books? A travel Agent? Or do you have brochures and travel guides sent to you from cities you are planning on visiting? I have only used a travel agent once. I usually get brochures and travel guides in the mail and use the internet and sometimes I use books. How about you?

We used to get travel guides sent to us in the mail but now I use the internet when planning a trip. It's much more convenient and I can look at different options when it comes to where to stay and what places we will visit. Mapquest does well with directions. I also bring my laptop when we travel so, if we make any last minute changes, I can easily get any information I need from the net.

We usually book our own because we have to map out our travels. I've never used a travel agent.

My wife is our family travel agent, but I know she used the computer at least to search for the hotel or cabine or what ever it is we will be staying in. Then I think contacts the travel burough for that area and has them send brochures and stuff on things to do in the area. I know she use dto use books but I don't know if she does that any more or not.

I use books and the internet when I want to plan a trip. The internet has made a lot of things easier, and I think it is very nice that I am able to plan things on my own instead of using a travel agent. I have bought all sort of tickets online (bustickets, planetickets etc) and I also like to make hotel/hostel reservations online. I use the internet to find information about the different sights, I like to read about other people's experiences, and sometimes I ask for travel advice on online forums etc.
I also use guidebooks when I want to plan a trip, I usually buy the ones from Lonely planet, and they have been very useful for me. It possible to find a lot of information online, but I still like to read some guidebooks.

When we travel we generally don't use a travel agent. We will use travel sites, whether they are from airlines,or cruise companies. When we go to a caribbean beach hotel we will use an airline travel site.

George and I don't travel much. We don't have the means to. When we do have to travel, we always know where we're going already, and how to get there. We know how long we'll be staying, so the only need to arrange a pet-friendly hotel for us and our cats. I'll check online for them. That's it. Other then that I really don't do much of anything else.
