I Am NOT Looking Forward To Cyber Monday!

Tomorrow is Cyber Monday. It is the online version of retailer's "Black Friday". I really am not looking forward to it. At the company I work for, it is my job to ship out orders, mostly for individuals ordering online via UPS and FedEx. So, tomorrow will be one of the busiest shipping days for me and my co-worker. With us already having a 4 day weekend, it already leaves us 4 days behind plus Cyber Monday sales online. I know tomorrow is going to be a busy day. From tomorrow on through Christmas, things are really going to be crazy where I work. Do you order Christmas presents online on Cyber Monday? Or do you work somewhere where Cyber Monday is going to make a busy day for you?

hi singlemommy wow you will be busy. I love to shop online and although I wont have a lot of money I may join the rush also
as the time is moving rapidly now. I am retired so do not have
to worry about shelving books and media and fielding questions about who was that pig that did this and that, and made some kind of web. uh you Mean Charlotte's Web.oh yeah right thats it. those kind of questions used to wear me out after awhile as they never knew the name of the book. lol lol lol.

Yes, I'm sure I have been one of those people who couldn't think of the name of a book or item that I wanted before.
Today was a killer even though I had to leave early and my co-worker already let me know that tomorrow is going to be even worse, so I'm trying to sike myself out for tomorrow. We dropship for Amazon.com and apparently the past 4 days and today, Amazon has really sold a whole lot of boxing equipment. I'm sure we aren't the only company who is being hammered by Amazon.com, I'm sure there are many who dropship for them and are feeling the same rush.

Well, you'd better get your shipping fingers ready because I'll be online looking for those good deals tomorrow! I love shopping online...it's so much easier than going from store to store and I love getting packages delivered even if they're not for me. Hope it's not too rough on you for the next couple of weeks.

I hope you find some really great deals. I'm like you, I do enjoy getting packages as well.
Well, today was horribly busy. I had to leave work early and I really felt horrible leaving my co-worker to fend for himself. I talked to him a couple hours ago and he already gave me a heads up that tomorrow is going to be worse. I'm thinking, I better rest up tonight because I'm going to need all my energy for tomorrow.

I actually order alot of stuff online but didn't even know about cyber Monday until I got home today and had to figure it out! LOL....so I won't be one of those pestering you! I'll wait until a normal sale comes up on some of the things I want!

Just be glad you have a job in this economy. I'm going to be buying stuff today only because there were things I wanted and I'd rather wait for the price to go down. However, none of it's Christmas stuff. It's all things for teaching and for a trip my friend are inviting me to go on in January.

Well, I hope you and your friend have a nice trip in January. I do not blame you for trying to find bargains. I am very thankful that I have a job in this economy. The way I look at it is, if you have a job, you best be trying to keep it.

I have been done with my Christmas shopping for about two weeks now and to be honest never even knew there was such a thing known as Cyber Monday, I knew about Black Friday although I have never been black friday shopping and probably never will be being in a big crowd is not my thing but I might want to consider doing cyber monday.
I am sorry that your going to have such a busy day, I think all mondyas should be slow so you can catch up from the weekend LOL

I hope if you decided to try out the Cyber Monday that you found some really great deals. I'm like you, I really don't like the crowds, I like shopping on Black Friday but I don't go overboard like most people. Some people like to fight, etc. That is not my thing! I didn't go Black Friday shopping this year though. I pretty much have all my Christmas shopping done anyway, so I wasn't too worried about it.

I wish this 34 day shopping crap would end already first black Friday then 3 day sales and why did't they pick a name for Saturday and Sunday?I'm so ready to go back to work!

Good luck to you. It sounds like you will need it. Although I think it would be better than being trampled. It will be exhausting for you though. Try to keep a good attitude. I know it is hard when dealing with a big load on your shoulders like that.

I agree, attitude is the key. I offered to work some overtime but my boss said no, we could handle it. I'm going to do the best I can and that's all I or my co-workers can do.

Oh wow! I never thought of the weekend, since I'm in Canada, and Thanksgiving for us was in October. Also, I knew what I wanted to get everyone in advance, and I ordered it all in September and October, so it's already here now. I did not want to order when everyone else was ordering, because i didn't want my stuff to get lost in the busy rush. More people need to do what I did and order way in advance. LOL

I am not really an online shopper and i was unaware of this cyber monday..only this is the second discussion i got to read about it...and i knew that there is some phenomenon of some concession etc on this day..what it exactly is i am still unaware...i am thankful to mylot to make me aware of such things in world..looking forward for some more info on it thanx...

I will not be participating in Cyber Monday. I actually went black friday shopping. So I am now broke. :( Sorry to hear you are going to be so busy tomorrow. I know I am going to try and limit my time online tomorrow since there will be so many people online shopping. It is like a virus infection waiting to happen.lol. Good luck tomorrow.

I did buy online yesterday and got free shipping and a few dollars off things. I always avoided shopping on the internet because I enjoy the stores but things are too crazy now and I'm not physically able to shop very long.

No I do not order anything online. I go to the store to get what I want. I usually now wait until just a week before Christmas to buy gifts so there is not enough time to order online just a week before Christmas and the get the gift here on time.

I have never heard of Cyber Monday! I must be slow or something lol. I was looking online for deals on black friday, I didn't know there was a special day for online. I am glad I read this, I am now going to be looking around online tomorrow! Yay! Get a good rest, and everyone appreciates your work getting packages out for them!

Hope you survived Cyber Monday!!! I don't do a lot of shopping on the weekend right after Thanksgiving. I am just not a shopper. I glance for bargins, but don't do a lot of shopping even online at this time of year. Not a shopper in general so that is probably why. At any rate... hope you made it through!

Well, I will just apologize now I guess. You may have been sending out some of my purchases. I Hope it wasn't too crazy for you. Good for business though and job security as well. Hee hee? Gotta look at those things. I don't have many busy days anymore. I am old and feeble and on medical benefits. Sad but true. Enjoy your job and your health.
