its hard to believe its so nice out today. Last night was terrible and im sure many had a bad storm also. I was all alone except for Coco that hid under my computer chair in fear
like no company at all. The wind blew so hard that it blew several trees down including one of our little ones in the front and actually rolled the barbecue grill all around the back patio!! and its a big heavy thing. Son had flown to New york to meet a gal he'd met online last Friday that he thought might be "the one"
anyway, his flight back was delayed because of weather so he wasnt back here yet. he was on a plane! I prayed for him and myself and was very mad at him for doing this crazy trip this time of year. he did say its true what you see on tv ! LOL! the planes lights flickered, it dived and jerked around so much some people actually threw up they were so scared. wouldnt you know nothing like this happens when we are both here safe together. Im just glad its over with. its lovely outside today except for having to clean up. How was your storm last night? this is likely just for the people in the USA. i was watching the weather channel and it said bad storms all over the USA.3 people like this

Calm before the storm here..Michigan..By morning we are supposed to have 6 inches and 50 mph winds. By tomorrow night, 15 inches winds reducing to breezy..oops forgot freezing rain also coming between midnight and daylight. I think that covers what's happening here. This storm is huge, the one we are just getting was in Nevada last night, can't wait till it blows through here, kids are already making plans for their snow day!

It is hard to believe we are having colder weather than we have had in eleven(11) years. Ugh! So cold this morning. And, ofcourse, this was the day we had all of our early appointments. I think opportunities present themselves sometimes at not always the best times. Fate is what she is! No or never and all that jazz! COLD, COLD COLD AND JUST MORE COLD TO LOOK FORWARD TO!!!!

So, is your son home safe and sound? How did it go? Did you find out where in NY?
We didn't have much of a storm here other than the wind, although is wasn't anything like what you had. Mostly it just blew our neighbors leaves (that they never go around to raking) into our yard. Now we need just enough wind to blow them back!

Hahaha...the closest thing we've had to snow is a heavy frost. Bet your glad he's not up there visiting right now with the snow that they are getting. As far as the beauty goes...true beauty isn't what you see with your eyes....it's what you feel in your heart. I wish him the best. At least it's not Agra...

Here in Ohio, we had frigid winds up to 55-60 MPH and it was sooooo cold!! The dogs and I stayed inside, I had gone to the store to get everything we needed so I wouldn't have to go out in it. It was still very windy yesterday and very cold when I had to take Cookie to the vet and she took forever to do her business before we went inside!
I'm glad your son is ok. Was she the one?

We had a pretty gnarly storm Sunday night. It dropped about an inch of snow on us, which was unheard of, and lots more at higher elevations. The last 2 days it's been beautiful, but really cold (by California standards). Tomorrow it starts raining again...

We got snow and the wind did blow but that was all. We only got about 4 inches where I live so that was not to bad. I have flown before and in bad weather the plane ride is not smooth it hits a lot of air pockets during storms. The bouncing around does make your stomach feel like it is going up and down too.

As for us, this time a week ago, we had plenty of rain, more than our fair share, really, but we didn't have any bad storms. There was lots of rain and then the following day there was lots of wind, but the two didn't occur together, so that was good for us. I'm actually glad that we haven't had any bad storms here in a while because they really do scare me and it makes me uneasy. It also seems that the majority of the time when a bad storm blows in I have nearly all the kids from the neighborhood in the house as well as my own two children and my two nieces. To weather any storm with that many children freaking out just isn't very much fun at all.

oh my i've heard that by now you've had some awful storms. i may be wrong or the news could be. i know what you mean. in florida 2yrs ago, i was at my daughters that always has a bunch of kids there. her own and others mostly teens. some tried to scare everyone by talking about other terrible hurricanes, etc and some were just scared.didnt help my fear much either

Calm after the Storm.Definitely after a storm everything seems quiet and serene. But i think we can relate this statement to our real lives also.Have you never felt satisfied and relieved after bashing someone whom you have been thinking of doing for quite a long time.
I feel very relieved to just express out whatever grief's I have in my heart. And if I am angry on someone and the anger starts accumulating because of some reason or the other,I need to blow out to let go off the steam.Once I do that i feel calmed, relieved and normal.

hi bunnybon I was safe inside my room mylotting while it just poured here in garden grove ca. but my friend Nelda was on her way home from wor k, and it was dark, out and she got lost as all the lights were out in a huge area due to a tree crashing into a transformer and putting out a whole section of the county.so she had to wander around til she used her headlights to see a street sign that she was familar with then found that entrance to the freeway home blocked so she had to go further on down and finally got home. she said the elevtricity was still off went she went back to work early this morning so she had to take the same round about way back to work. she has eye problems so driving at night is really hard for her, she did get her drivers license though as she has now new corrective glasses. but the storm hit hard for a few hours. boy such rain and it was so badly needed here too. I am glad your son got back safely that was some plane trip for him, my.

Hey bunny! I have flown in some terrible stormy weather and it
isn't funny! It is so scary to be in a plane when there is a
storm and the lightning is going right through the plane and
the plane is moving up and down and side to side! We didn't
have any bad weather here yesterday, but we are supposed to
have bad weather here tomorrow! We are supposed to have very
heavy rains and some really strong winds! So maybe that is the
storm you had, just delayed a day! I'm glad that your son was
able to get in alright! And how was his meeting with his newest
"one"?

my kids are so darn shallow
anyway he said she was very nice. still not sure if shes "the one". good. cause im in no hurry to be subjected to a new one just yet. hoping he makes a better choice this time

I didnt have a storm ,in fact last night was hot and dry ,which is unlikely for us at this time of the year.In fact we would wish that we had a storm because atleast that would mean that we would get some rain.
The situation with the calm and storm though has interesting implications for our life because it shows that sometimes when we think we are done and cannot go on ,that is teh time when we should push on because that is when the light is in the tunnel

Ironically enough, we had fantastic weather yesterday. Definitely cold - i think the lows were in the single digits, but today has been horrendous. I wouldn't call it blizzarding, but it's been snowing since about 11am and the roads are HORRIBLE. It took me 45 minutes to get to work, which is usually an 8 minute drive. That's my only real complaint, is when the roads are so icy and slick that you have to drive 25 MPH on the highway! That drives me crazy! Anyway, good to know that you're having a nice weather day for a change. We're certainly not. (And I live in Minnesota, fyi.)

well here in pheonix area of arizona, its usually dry and calm, but once in a while we have a big flood storm with LOTS of high wind. and i did see on the weather channel last night that several states were having terrible weather. im from ohio, so i know what you are talking about with the snow storms. awful to drive in.

I know you guys are all talking about the storm in your country. But here in India the Rain Gods have started acting funny. It will be bright in the morning and come noon it will rain heavily with thunder and lightning and this in the month November was never heard of before. The farming community will have to bear heavy losses and the prices of food articles are soaring.

That is really true. Behind every storm is a new hope for a new start. There is always a purpose for every survival.Give back the blessings for others to realize how important it is to enjoy the gift of life.Miracles will happen usually at a moment least expected.
