There is a kural pertaining to Thirukkural of Tamil language in which it is written that udukkai izhandavan kaipola aange idukkan kalaivadaam natpu. The meaning is this. When the waist dress is about to fall down, automatically without any provocation, the hand will come forward and hold the waist dress from falling. In the same way a friendship should immediately come forward to weed out the problems. If any one is not possessing even a single friend like this, his life is empty.

Thank you very much for the Best Response. It is an encouragement to me. Yes I know five languages thoroughly well. English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. I am a free lance translator. I did not say this for pride's sake, since you wrote about the languages, I mentioned here.

Yes Baluyadav, in so far as my relatives are concerned, they are waiting for me to die so that they inherit something, whereas my friends want me to be around so that we can have some good times. I can definitely say in my case, friends are a whole lot better than relatives. :)

Yes u might say that but what i see nowadays that friends are so far off. Like most of them are net friends, now what can they do for you other then chatting. A relative could be near and since he knows u can trust u more then a friend and can extend helping hand as well.
