Oh, I sure do! I don't watch the religious ones but I enjoy several of the old black and white ones. First one is White Christmas. I love the thoughtfulness of the two ex military guys, and the busy body. She's halarious! Then come Holiday Inn and one of Fred Astaire's best (I think) dance routines pretending he is alittle tipsy. It is so well choreographed. And, right now, I am watching another one of my favorites: The Bishop's Wife with the lovely Loretta Young and David Kniven and Cary Grant as the angel. I will probably watch Holiday Inn on New Year's Eve. Love them and never tire of them.

Are you talking about the old Bishop's Wife. Loretta and David and Cary? Not that newer one that has Whitney Houston in it.

Oh, absolutely. I watch every Christmas movie there is including all the sappy ones on the LifeTime channel. I tried to Tivo "The Nativity Story" but my mom kept switching the upstairs TV which canceled the recording. By the way, I don't think I've seen The Greatest Story Ever Told. I must include that on my list. Silly, but true, one of my favorite Christmas classic is still "A Charlie Brown Christmas."

it is really considered an easter classic but the greatest story ever told was on tv and it spans the entire life of Jesus so I am sure that is why they included it in the christmas classics line up. To bad about the recording canceling like that.

The same with Handl's Messiah. It was written for Easter, but gets played at Christmas.

Funny I think of The Greatest Ever Told as an Easter film. I have a few classics I must see. Rudolph The Red nosed Reindeer is one. Charlie Brown in another. This year I didn't get to see it aired because of another classic, Gone With The Wind turned 70 the same night it aired. thankfully I have it on tape. I also have to see A Christmas Carol, the 1938 version.

Please watch it . I won't give anything away. Lady (Mom) needs heart transplant and son over heard her say she had red shoes she used to dance in. You've just got to see the show!!!

I like the Christmas Carol, I have a special fondness for the George C. Scott one but not because I saw it at Christmas! For some strange reason it was on in the summer - maybe a Christmas in July sort of thing - this would've been like 1981-3 time frame (because we lived in that place from 1980-84, and only had the ac in 81-82 & 83. So, there I am, with the window unit BLASTING, watching The Christmas Carol - don't know where Maggiepie was that day/night but I was alone.

the 1994 version - maybe, I don't remember - I like that story too... I once wrote a "Christmas Carol" version using the 1983 UNCLE universe and with some characters I invented - I "Christmas caroled" Illya...

One movie that my husband and I watched together was Home Alone. Not exactly a classic (only 20 years old), but a good movie just the same. We did watch "it's A Wonderful Life." That definitely qualifies as a classic. Neither one of us had seen it in a few years, and we both wanted to see it.

I absolutely LOVE the old Christmas movies. I have two favorites. One is a serious film and the other is a comedy. I love Miracle of 34th Street...as it really speaks to me. The funny one that I like is National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase. That movie is hilarious! We try to watch it every year. I have always loved the Dr. Seuss book, How the Grinch Stole Christmas too. I have not watched the movie but I hear that it is very good.

My favorite would have to be "The Bishop's Wife", with Cary Grant as an angel... perfect casting, in my view.

Gotta admit, dear lady...am getting a little tired of them! Not having Cable or Satellite, and only receiving 5 Local stations...they NOW have been playing them for almost 3 weeks...the only thing available...so I have taken to watching shows on the Internet. Happy holidays & Cheers!

There are a few that I make an effort to see every year, including Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown. My favorite, I think, is the classic, What A Wonderful Life. The season just doesn't seem complete unless I watch that one. If I miss it on TV, I have it on DVD so I can get my "fix".

I spent yesterday in bed as I wasn't too well and watched Nicholas Nickleby. I had not seen this movie for donkey years and I so enjoyed it. Not really a Christmas Classic but it does teach integrity and fighting for justice, loyalty and all good things like that.
