gifts.I am soo pleased that there are presents that are broken, where as every year there has been at least one gift that has to be returned to the shop as it was broken or it was faulty.Usually at least one child recieves the same gift as a gift that they have already recieved off someone else.

Hiya jugs,
Sounds like your Children have had a good Christmas. I´ve never had that problem with living over here the Family of his or mine have never been ones for giving presents at Christmas. I have had to buy my kids presents myself so I have never had that problem.
But it does make for variety if one is broken so you can change it for something else they might really like instead.

I think this year has been great as the children were not upset at all as all their presents worked. The children had a great time as well,so that was nice to see.We never tried any of their presents out that we got them either which we were going to do so we were lucky.Children loved all their presents this year as well which was great.

Hiya jugs,
That´s good to see they are more careful about the Toys they make now.
The only time I´ve ever had any problems is with those Game things that usually rely on an elastic band to shoot the car over the bridge and things like that.
They used to love Car Games like this where you had to catapult the Car out of some kind of shooter gadget.

Hi Jugs,
The after sales service is great that you could return the broken products to the shop, if no, you don't need to worry about that.
. We don't have this kind of service here. If the products you bought is easy to fragile and it is broken because of the people's behaviour, we should admit the fault of ouself and no return for goods.

There are lots of things that i buy for people as gifts and they are things that i do not always find time to check them out before giving them to people,so if they do not work or if they are faulty then i tend to holod on to the receipt as then they can then be returned.Thankfully we have not had that problem this year.

There are few gifts under our tree this years as even before Christmas happen I have already given the gifts to my family without a gift wrapper. This is the only time we did not open gifts during Christmas eve. We are so tired preparing Christmas and only my younger brother was the one valuing opening of Christmas gifts.

hi jugsjugs yes thats what used to happen to us too. there would be one thing that was broken or had something on it that did not work. well we were both pretty broke this year so our gifts were practical. for me I got a new set of head phones that are fantastic as they pick up every note so clear and a small flashlight so I can pick my way to the bathroom without turning on my lamp and waking my room mate. I gave my son a gift card for his favorite book store and a supply of snack goodies for his room. non breakable Affordable and something we could both enjoy and use.Happy New Year Jugsjugs to you and your family hope you have a great new y ear.

Hi Hatley,i think the practical presents are the best as you can never go wrong with buying those as well as receiveing those as well. The children had a great time as well as us as there were no things that we had to return so that is a bonus.I also hope the new year is going to be good for us as well as you.

i have a niece that got 3 wallets with the same style but in different colors. i told her to be happy she has monday wednesday friday wallets, she needs two more for tuesday and thursday. har har har. i know what my niece feels when she got three gifts that are the same. she would be delighted if those wallets has large amount inside. its not easy to think of gifts, i know that for i am always having a hard time thinking. lucky me that my wife is the one who is brain storming for that yearly.

its not really easy to think about what to give, and it is more of a burden to make sure that they will love the gift that you gave. but i guess after the storm that hit the philippines this past september, any gift that was handed out was very important and very useful. it was fun exchanging gifts while laughing.... specially us we are laughing at my niece.

Wow!! I can see that your day was very busy with your kids. So was mines. I wished that I could have went out for Christmas. But, I was recovering from the Flu virus. I am feeling a little better. I had some hot Theraflu formula and I sliced some limes in it. It helped me out eventually. I had lemons yesterday in my hot tea. This hot solution helped me out so well. I hope that your day is very bright. Have a very Merry Christmas!

Well, that is a good thing. It is the law of numbers I think. I always keep receipts on everything until I feel safe. It's alot of paper but I do get rid of it as soon as I can. I think it pays in the long run. Something is always broken or the wrong size or color or something. What did they ever do back when most things were home made.

I am also like you and i do keep all the receipts as well for a while until after Christmas as you never know if anything is going to not work.I am the kind of person who tries to find out what people would like and then try to get what they want, saves alot of time.

With the kids we had the same kind of luck that you had this year. Nothing was broken and nothing was a toy that they already had. However, of the four gifts that I recieved altogether, I ended up with three bread pans and actually started a discussion about that. I mentioned that I needed a bread pan to my mother and she passed it on to my brother and sister-in-law. My mother-in-law asked what I wanted for Christmas and I told her that I'd told my side of the family that I wanted a bread pan and she took that to mean that she had to get me a bread pan as well. Unfortunately, I can't get a receipt for any of them so next year I am going to give a bread making kit as a Christmas gift next year.

You watch the next christmas there will be lots of things that are broken or lots of things that will have to be ecxchanged.I think that this year has been a one off,but even so it was great the gifts were all ok when we got them as well as they are all still ok now as well.

That is wonderful!!! I am glad nothing got broken, and no one got things they already had.
We had a bit of a double gift this year, but it was funny. We, along with a friend of ours, both really like Serbian and Croatian plum brandy (Sljivovitz in Serbian, Sljivovica in Croatian). Well we bought him a bottle of Sljivovica, and he ended up giving us a bottle of Sljivovitz. haha It was pretty funny that we both thought of the same thing, but it was perfectly OK, since we both love the stuff so much anyway. LOL

Its great to know Christmas is extra special for you and your family this year.
Im not so lucky. All I received this year are shirts that didn't fit me.

hi jugsjugs,
that is common, some times we may get broken gifts also, but we does not know from where it was purchased, the exchange may be possible in your areas is permitted, but in our area it is not permitted,no shop keeper will replace it,we have to return the same to the same friend or we have to keep same thing with fixing it once again with some glue like that, have a nice day

Same here, everything was great and no gifts were returned. We had a little problem with a bathroom shelving unit but my honey managed to fix it himself.
On of the parts didn't have a hole for the screw to go in so he made one himself. It wasn't easy since we don't have a drill but everything worked out all right.
