first, cinema's are not only for romantics and lovers.it is for everyone who wanted to experience watching in huge screen with greats sounds.i love watching movies in cinemas because its much more comfortable watching it in the big scree rather than in the television and computer.you can concentrate more in watching if your are in cinema unlike when you watch movie in tv and computer.there are a lot of things around that can distract you in watching especially if you are watching a good movie.

I like to watch movies in the cinema but it can be expensive watching many movies in the cinema in a short period of time so I just wait until they are broadcast on tv or on media format. I like to watch scifi movies, movies with twist endings, and time travel movies.

i love watching movies in cinemas especially when its "now showing" one... even alone. i just find it more enjoyable because of the big screen and the sounds. things get more realistic especially with the effects. and best of all, you can easily relate to those people who watched the movies as well. whether they loved it or criticized it, you have something to converse with them coz youve already seen it. happy new year yinmm007

For real wow what country do you live in. I thought most people have watched a movie in the cinema. I do like watching movies there but only for certin type of movies like movies with good special effects which I would go see in the cinema. I usaly would not see a comedy in the theater since I dont need the big screen to see one and I can just wait for it to come out on dvd.

As a young woman going to a cinema was always a special, unforgettable emotional event. Whenever I think of it, it brings beautiful memories which start tickling my soul. I have not had many of those movie moments, but few I did have were very special and I still remember them. One of those special cinema moments is my very first date. I mean, who can forget first love/date and coca-cola (although I do not remember a movie we watched). Now that I am older, I still try and make it special (not so often)event. This time I go with my family or with my child. Experience is different, but still very beautiful, such as: first giggles, laughs, hands loaded with pop-corn, candies and good old coca-cola. Perhaps with today new technology we do not have to go to the cinema anymore. We can simply stay home (save money) and watch movies whenever we wish. However, cinema has something unique that home does not have, an extraordinary charm which can create unforgettable emotional event, forever.

I like to watch movies on my dvd more as compared to going cinemas. I visit cinema halls once a year or two. Actually the reason for it is that, here the cinemas are not multiplex but those old ricketry ones with old screens too.

When I was younger I sometimes went to the cinema with my brother or some friends, but now I usually watch watch movies at home instead. I only watch movies at the cinama a few times a year. My husband I watched a Danish movie at the cinema this year. I liked the director and we decided to watch the movie, but it was a bit of a disappointment. We are members of a movieclub and they send us two movies each time, and when we return them we get two new movies. The rest of the time we borrow movies at the library. It is free, and we are allowed to keep the movies for one week.

Hi Yim, I only watch movies in cinemas when my kids want to, so usually the movies I watch are for children. Those I like to watch I catch on TV or the DVD. I don't want to watch movies on the computer, the screen is so small that I miss some of the details. I like movies that are love story, suspense and true-to-life stories.

Basically, watching movie in cinema with ur lover or ur best friends is more enjoyable, epecially if u watch a romantic drama with ur lover. But it costs money so that if u watch alone, It's more preferable to watch from TV, ur own video, or computer. A set of Home theater is more lovely, i think. U'll get the same atmosphere as like in cinema.

Hi yinmmoo7! For me it depends on the movie that I'm going to watch. If the movie has a lot of special effects in it which shouldn't be underestimated, then I'd better watch it in theaters. I remember my friend telling me to watch 2012 in 3D, which I could only get in cinemas offering that feature. My sister told me to watch it in the cinemas, and that if I couldn't, I'd better get a good DVD copy of it. If the movie is just a plain chick flick or a comedy, I could watch it in my computer or DVD player, at the comfort of my own home.

Problem to answering your question is that both have ups and downs. At the theater it's bigger, better special effects feeling, and it's more comfortable if watched with more than one person. Now with Computer, you can pause it, start it, end it, whenever you want. Then again the special effect has a smaller feel to it and it's more of a one person kind of thing. Overall, I prefer the computer option just because I can watch it whenever I want, only problem is I have to wait until the Dvds come out.

Hi Yin. I used to be a movie addict in those years, and I would go to movie theatres atleast three times a week. But , these days, with mu full time job taking so much time each day, I don't get the chance to go to theatres. So, I just have to sit in front of the TV and watch movies that come up. In fact, watching on the TV is not comparable to the grandeur in the theatres. Watching movies in the theartes is like sitting in a different world, and one gets the feeling of participating in the movie too.

Hello yinmm007 earlier used to watch a lot of movies in theatres around my place, even some were far away from my place. It was depend on the movies, if really an interesting one then would travel some to watch the movies.During my after school days and some college days used to enjoy with my friends by watching movies at theatres.Watched atleast 100+ in an year or so, all types of movies action, comedy, thriller, horror, romantic etc stuff.Enjoyed it a lot as in theatre there are some special effects in the print and sound of the movie, its more appealing than its on tv or computer. It was an wonderful experience for us, me and my friends. But now as have gorwn up much have to settle for the TV and the computer to watch movies.Anyways enjoy you movies, Happy mylotting.
