I'm going away today on Vacation for 7 days!

I just wanted to let my good friends on My Lot know, that I am going away for 7 days, with my daughter.
This is to give us both a much needed break, but it also puts us out of reach of my ex.
We are going to POenneshaw, a tiny town on Kangaroo Island, south of Adelaide.
With an outstanding view of the beach, this is a beautiful location with a lot to see and do on the island. Or we can just hang around the beach and relax.
Although my daughter has a lap top, internet connection is too expensive there, so I wont be online for the whole time.
I will catch up with your discussions when I get back.

Have a nice vacation! From what you've said about your ex, it sounds like you need a break. Is it warm enough there that you can swim? It sounds like a nice relaxing place to visit. Have a nice New Year also.

Swimming or even just wading would be nice. Water seems to rinse away the cares of the world.

Oh, it will be warm enough alright. Its going to get up to 37C (nearly 100F).

I do hope that you have a lovely time. The beach is a wonderful place to get away from the rigors of life. Set aside your worries and cares and let the ocean breezes lift your spirits high. Big huggers to you.

Thanks very much. I do find it very relaxing on the beach. We also enjoy driving to other parts of the island to see the seals and koals.

well when you get bck make sure to write us on here, so we know that you made it back. I hope you have a great vacation. Don't think about anything here it should be fine. Just go there and make sure you have a good time, and when you get back you can tell us all about it!

What a great way to see the new year arrive too. I can't imagine it arriving without the cold and the snow... but who knows one day...

I am so happy that you and your daughter are getting to spend time together and that you too will be getting a much needed vacation.I am also happy that you are getting away from your ex.I sure hope you enjoy your stay at such a natural location wheree it will just take your mind away from all yout troubles and just relax and enjoy your self

That place looks absolutely gorgeous. Then again a lot of places in Australia look pretty good. It must be a really nice place to live. My brother used to have a pen pal in Australia he used to send some really nice photographs of that place.

Vacation!!! It's always nice to have vacations. I hope you enjoy your entire stay on the island. I know it's hard to be away from MyLot but you have to enjoy your stay there. A bit of time away from the computer will help us rest our eyes a bit. Just enjoy and good luck to you!

He doesnt even know we are going away, although there is a chance he will find out. He wouldnt be able to afford to get over there as he has kids with him at the moment.
