Do yopu ever wonder what's up there in the Great Beyond? I know I do. So, you will understand why I was terribly excited to stumble upon this great video: http://video.stumbleupon.com/#p=pf9p9psqz7. I hope that all of you who find such things interesting will visit the site and watch the video by AMNH. It only takes a few minutes. I admit that it started out quite ordinary, but it really got exciting later on. We live in such a wonderful world, and I believe that it is our duty to try and learn as much as possible about it. Do you like to stargaze?

Oh, my daughter and I both find this sort of thing very interesting. My daughter has all kinds of books on the subject. She also has a telescope which she takes outside many summer evenings. It is so pretty and vast! How can you not be interested in it. So many things to learn.

You are absolutely right, celticeagle! When I used to live out in the country where there wasn't a lot of artificial light you could practically drown in a sea of stars at night.

My ex and I used to go camping in this meadow up in the mountains. It was beautiful at night. I didn't get much sleep because I loved viewing the beauty in the sky! Happy New Year!

That reminds me, adriennem, that I used to really wish hard for a telescope! Maybe I'll do a search to see if I can find a reasonably priced one.

Oh yeah. I am always wandering about things like this. I think it is neat to imagine what is going on in outer space and on other planets. I know we hear alot about it but there is alot still left to the imagination.

I guess that is why it is called the "new frontier," stephcjh! I know that lots of folks would like to see our government step up the space program again.

I think that is a fair question, git. It seems that there are quite a few people wondering the same thing!
