Have you deleted any friends in mylot from your list?

Was just clicking on some of the profiles of my friend here on mylot and found that I have been deleted from many lists. Have resent friend request to some of them. Looks like that since I was not too active here last year many have deleted me from their list of friends. Do you delete friends who are not regular in your discussions?

Hello mayka.....well to tell you the truth I have not bothered to check if I have been deleted from any ones' list....Even if any one has,I dont blame them since I was inactive for so amny months.......Any way what matters is that all my close friends have kept me in their list intact hoping to see me back in action one day..... Oh and I dont delete friends who do not respond to my discussions.....On the other hand I love those friends who are always starting new and intersting discussions and am eager to respond to their discussions even if they never bother to respond to mine...he..he...

Hi mayka, no, and I have no intentions what so ever. I have about 12 pages full of friends, and I haven't got enough yet. :) I just want somebody to solve a mystery though. I find many young people asking to be my friend. My profile clearly mentions I am 50 years old. But when a 19 year old sends me a request, I find it amusing. This is because I wonder what can we discuss. :) But may be they came across one of my posts, and found something that seemed agreeable to them. That is the reason I accept them in the list. Mind you, some of them are rather witty, and fun to be with. :)

When someone joins in new here they just want to make friends thinking that more friends will give them more responses and more discussions to reply to. Which sometimes is true because there are many like me who respond first to notifications received from friends and then look at other discussions. I dont think many look at the age factor when sending friend request. I too have friends who are younger than my kids!!! But sometimes it is fun interacting with them.

Vandana! Users do not look your profile (read age) closely and they feel that you are 'young' enough to be their friend. In fact it is a compliment to you that younger users also wish to be in your friends' list. Such is the 'beauty' of mylot and here you could be friends with any age group and can feel comfortable.

Hi mayka, I have to agree with your reasoning. I keep wondering how they find us though. :)

I deleted one. But it wasn't because of inactivity. It was due to them making a comment that was uncalled for on one of my pictures. I don't like deleting people from my friends list if I can help it. I for one never understood why anyone would delete someone from this list just because of inactivity. Though that is their choice, if they so wish to do so. However, it's not like they're going to get clogged with a bunch of notifications from these friends if they don't delete them as they aren't even around to start any new discussions anyway. And no, I won't delete those that aren't regulars to my discussions either. I don't mylot that way. If they want to respond to it, fine, if not that's okay too. People on my friends list aren't required to respond just because they are on my friends list. If anything I'd much rather them respond to my discussions because it caught their interest and they could relate to it. Happy mylotting!

Hi mayka123, Not that I recall. I don't see any point of deleting friends, not even when they stop being active. I just leave them there. That said, I have been at the receiving end of being deleted. Sometimes they apologize and explain that it is because I was not being active anymore. You see, there is no MAX limit for friends on your list so... Anyway, initially I was a bit hurt, especially after being deleted by some friends whom I thought had been rather chummy with me. I got over it and moved on. Now I don't really care either way. But for me, I choose to leave friends as they are on my list and not delete them.

Oh honestly I didn't realize it since I don't check my friend list. What comes, comes. Sure, I will add you again as you requested. But you are probably gonna delete me again when I go inactive, will you?

Hi dear, I have not deleted any friends from my list except the banned members but recently I have started a discussion on the same topic which is deleted by the admin. I have learnt from the responses from people that many are updating their friend’s list and deleting inactive friends (long time). But they prefer to stay with the close friends irrespective of their activity. I know you changed your job and you were not active for few months. I won’t dare to delete you even if you say a good bye to mylot.

No, I don't delete any friend here on mylot even they are not active here or not being here for quite some time. Never tried or even think about that before, but if I'm active and had not since a regular friend here that had not being posting I will check their profile here once in a while and start to wonder what had happened to them. sort of stupid.

hi mayka not many just those who have been gone a long long time. I know like myself life comes up and stops us and we cannot get back right away so do not delete until the absence is really old, then I think this person is no longer here.

Many of us access the net from our place of work. So at times we are irregular for various reasons. I have changed my job and am not able to come online too often.

I too have deleted some pending friend requests that I had made over a year ago. Some of them were active but I do not know why they did not respond to my request.

So far, I havent deleted anyone in my friend's list. I can see no reason to delete anyone. If ever I see one I would say goodbye to her/him before deleting. This is what I do, if someone will give me his/her referral link I would entertain it as long as I'm interested but if not I would just ignore it.

I too have not deleted anyone. It does not make a difference to me if my friend list is a few pages longer with inactive members, I had only deleted a couple of guys who kept sending me vulgar messages!

People are supposed to choose their friends based on their discussions. If their discussions aren't interesting to me I do delete them.I usually go through my friends' discussions and respond to them, and they respond to mine, but it's pointless if they never post anything of interest to me.So I have to say yes I do delete them and keep friends that have discussions that peak my interest.

I did not and never intend to. Its because not everyone can be active here on mylot. Some come and some go and it's always good to hear from friends who've been away and starts posting again. For me the more i have friends in my friends list the better. Cheers!

Hi mayka123, I did delete one of the friends, who was an Indian, from the list as he/she kept sending junk messages to me and links. Some are dirty movies or games which need to pay. It was so annoying. Have a nice day! agonyaunt69 (10:23pm 11 Jan 2010, Hong Kong time)

Until now I didn't delete anybody. I think that it's good to have more friends even not that active one. Well, some of them are maybe not that regular in the discussions but where's the big deal :)
