One of my friends received a communication from one of the sites this morning that if the Paypal account she has is Indian Registered then there will be no issues for payment into her account! Now she has asked me what it means - which is a great honor I feel considering that she is the know it all normally ....but...I haven't got a clue! Anybody who knows something about this? Please clarify.

There were some issues with Indian paypal customers the other day. I guess the site refers to that occurrence.

Hi diamania, there is an issue with paypal as far as Indian customers are concerned. But this is something different. The site said, they would pay if she identified / was sure that her site was Indian registered. The reason I found it interesting is that somebody said they would pay! I thought may be the problem was resolved!

I think that it means if she has selcted the country as 'India' when she registered with Paypal. We have to give our address and country during registration of Paypal. Please ask her to go back to Paypal and check her personal details there. If she has chosen the country as Paypal. Her Paypal is Indian registered.

I dont know it myself. Anyway, my friend is no longer following up. So I will wait for her to ask again. :) Anyway, it is regulatory issue from what I have learnt from other friends. Paypal is required to have a license, and it is completing all the formalities. It may take about two to three months for it to complete those formalities. :)

I see. Hmm I just hope that whatever I have in paypal is safe and that I will get this 10$ later when they get back to business. What amount do you suggest to have to opt for a transfer of money to bank account. Like say an amount below 100 $ and how much do they charge for the transaction? Please check message. Take care

Sorry malpoa, I am not doing trekpay. :) I dont know if my papa joined on my name. :) But I am receiving from some other party. I think it will take paypal a couple of months to resolve the problem as they have to possibly make changes in their software, and get license from RBI kind of thing. RBI is trying to monitor liquidity in the country, and also ensure that terrorists do not use Paypal route. That is the issue here according to one of my more knowledgeable friends. :)

Yes, i received too the same, hope its from the same site we work;-). I messaged the admin and asked, they assured the issue will be solved. If it takes long time, they may provide other payment options for indians. Infact the site i work is genuine and helped me always. So dont wory, they are solving it. Indian Registered is to identify all the Indian accounts.

I didnt ask her which site! And I'll not unless she volunteers. No - she didnt say Indian registered - - she said - they will pay if her account is Indian registered. There is difference in what you understood. I believe we are referring to different sites.

Hi friend! I've seen that one from a site that I always work on. I questioned the Admin of the site and it responded to choose from the preferences of payments whether my Paypal account is Indian Registered or Not from India but other country. Paypal is not accepting transactions from India right I think and for those who are not from India has been affected to because of the issues. Hope that helps.

What I can say here is that Paypal has Issues with Indian local banks. Be it the government or bank is up to inquiring tax on it or not, but the main issue here is that for now, you cannot withdraw your paypal money on any banks in India. I know the site you are referring about because I have received my notifications also. Before I used to register my Paypal Indian (registered) account in getting my money. But now that I am back in my own country (Philippines), i am now using my own account, not my hubby's account in India, so I have no issues on withdrawing my funds here in my country. The site just wanted to inform it's users that if your from INDIA, you may have to hold your horses at the moment unless the issue with your country or local banks be solved first, before you can withdraw your hard earned money. Hope this issue will also be resolve soon.

What is Your question mean?? If there will be no issues for the payment, why She asking for this to You?? But when remembered that there are an issues for the personal account for Indian by Paypal. The only one reason for this is that the site will be a scam, cause they should know about the issued. But still they said that there will be no issues, except Your friends accounts was a pro.

It is an opportunity of lifetime! he he. I cant afford to lose it! :) She is so knowledgeable, normally I am the one who turns to her whenever I have anything that I cant solve! So now she's asked me. By this time, she must have already got the answer. But I will have to ask her! he he. I wont. :) Until I need it. :)

First of all there isnt a special paypal site for indians---its just that they provide services to every other country except few---whilst the servers differ though---when you try to access the paypal site---you see /in(india) at the end of the url.So your friend must have been asked if she have an indian paypal account---coz i have a latest post in the Neobux forum today---where the admin asked us not to make an payout---it seems paypal has reversed payments who have received in the last four days.great day.

Hey sunny - it doesnt make sense. I recd. monies from another investment, whereas Neobux says entries can be reversed. May be Neobux is going Upbux way! And I did transfer some dollars to one of my friends. I have yet to check whether the entry was reversed. Hope that friend confirms. I hate opening these online accounts. he he.

as far as my knowledge is concerned particularly regarding this context, paypal has been not working in india, it simply refers to its taking and giving payments in india this time, i don't know about the reasons behind that, but there would be definitely some legal restrictions and boundations will be there, rather than that we all of are hoping that some thing will be gone right in future, and our payments will be cleared

I too wish the same, but I am certain that things will be resolved sooner than later. As far as I understand, RBI has intervened. Monies in paypal account are not taxed. Which makes it difficult for the central bank (RBI) to monitor may be. I am not referring to mylotters or online working community. There may be many others with much larger sums. RBI may therefore be keen to put an end to this unexpected inflow procedure which causes inflation in the country. The other thing is know your customer procedure - so that terrorists dont get to transfer monies more easily and can be traced. So it may have become obligatory for Paypal to comply with all these rules and regulations, many of which require specific alterations to its existing software package. That is what is taking it so long.
