It would be the bus for me as well. We dont use the train that often here anymore. The most common form of vehicle used for long travel is usually the bus. Though I might not still be able to relax that much while riding on a bus but still I think I would be more comfortable on a bus than on a train.^_^

Hi, arunmails. I prefer to go by bus. I feel more secure on a bus than I do with a train. I don't know why exactly but it is just how I feel. I guess a train goes too fast and it stays riding on a track. When I am on a bus, I can see my surroundings better. Maybe that is why I prefer to ride on a bus than a train. I have never rode on a train before.

I like to travel by train in case of long journeys..I feel train travel to be more comfortable..You can move around, stretch your legs..You can even find the restroom in a train..You can get pantry foods inside the train..Train journey is more comfortable and enjoyable too.

why even in bus you can spread your hands and legs... you can stand and stretch yourself... no one going to ask you anything for these activities..... right???

but you can never stretch your hands sideways in a bus without hurting someone..right?? ha..ha..just kidding..I feel that in train you can walk, enjoy the sight seeing, and above all, you can use the toilet whenever you wanted to..

For me, while traveling alone , BUS is the best choice of transport. While you are alone you have practically none to interact with...so it bus which is best.

Hi arun, I prefer to travel by train for long journey. I think train journey is more comfortable for long distance. We don’t feel tiredness in train journey but in bus the road is not good then we may feel much tired after the journey. Travel time also may be less by train.

Though my journeying days were over long ago i too like travelling by road since it gives me an opportunity to travel throught the villages, towns and countryside. If the journey is too long andif time is the factor then i would prefer the train.During my college days i used to travel by train to reach college as i had to reach early but once i started working i journeyed by bus even though it took a long time. In a bus journey you can watch people, animals and other interesting things which you can`t when going by train, so my vote goes for the bus journey.

For me I will still prefer to travel by train specially if it is more than 10 hours journey because I don't like my urinary bladder to suffer if I have to wait for bus stop overs. Not unlike in trains, they do have toilets to use and even if I really hate long travels, as long as I can take a pee, better for me. Holding your pee is really bad, it can lead to UTI (Urinary tract infection). But if you have just included plane among the means of transportation, then I would prefer to choose plane, no hassles at all although it is the most expensive compared to train and bus.

i'd choose the train for a long journey. i'm a country lover and i love to see the nature around while on travel. i always feel being exhausted when i chose the bus for a long journey. maybe it is because i can't move around as it is less affording passage and access. unlike the train i could enjoy it moving around given by the wider space.

If i go for long journey then i will choose train because i cannot travel in bus at all so i think train is the better option for me to go fro a long journey.

Well this really depends on how far I'm going as I'm not 100% sure what you mean by 'long journey' If it's within a couple hours I would take the bus as that's easier and cheaper than a train ticket and can probably get me closer to my location. Also buses for trips that close are generally more comfortable than the trains for short trips. However, if I was going across the country I would definitely prefer a train. You can get up and move around on a train and visit people in other areas of the train. Also, trains are getting faster and faster and smoother and smoother nowadays so trains are becoming more and more my preference.

A long journey in the sense, I mean for about 5 to 6 hours journey.. if it is only 2 to 3 hours journey, then probably my choice will be my car....

I have traveled across the U.S. taking AMTRAK. For me, I think taking the train is more comfortable than taking the bus. The train has a more comfortable toilet, a dining area or a restaurant. There are trains with glass roof lounge which are ideal for watching the scenery pass by. The train also has more comfortable and larger seating area. I have always used in the train in my travels across the U.S. and in Europe. Trains in Europe are efficient and very comfortable. Some can run more than 300 kilometer and hour.

Hi it depends upon distance and time, if it is say 50 kms i prefer a car, for longer journey i choose 2 tier AC in train, this i find most comfortable in all respects.. Thanks for sharing. God bless you. Cheers. Prof
