Sorry I'm way behind on Mylot. I've had lots to do. How about you?

I shoveled slush this AM, but have been shoveling most of this week. Had to get ready for my taxes for Friday. We're getting tax back! Now my driveway has ruts filling up with water because the snow is melting. So I'll be trying to find ways to fill in the ruts. Esp. since the water might freeze and I'd have ice ruts. Later on today, I hope to finish cutting a path. The small bushes and such are growing so that I can't walk my property. Many of the bushes have thorns, too. Mostly wild stuff that grew like crazy last fall and grows during each of our thaws. So what have you been up to lately?

I don't have to shovel, I am on SSD so I don't have to worry about taxes. Hmm. How to fill in the ruts.???? I have been looking for a room to rent. I am tired of my daughter's bizarre manic phases and not being responsible. Too much stress leaves me sick and tired. I am looking to rent a room and just chill.

Sorry to hear you're stressed. The air was sooo clean today. I felt soooo good outdoors. It was wonderful and almost magical. I definitely felt good. Hope you're able to chill. Take care.

Today I have fallen behind mylot. I have tried to experiment with a new blog and see if I can get some referrals with it. The problem is that people join on mylot but they fail to grasp its concept and seemed to get get disheartened. So yes I have fallen behind today. Plus I had other duties such as taking care of my son, helping him with his homework.

According to my inbox, you have many discussions started. Helping with homework is a wonderful and worthwhile reason to not be here. Good going! Great parent, more should do that. Thanks for dropping by.

Must have been nice to see those wild flowers. Yes, I've heard the south is getting more snow than us. It's weird, we're on the Canadian Border and 90% of the snow is going below us. I haven't been able to snow shoe or do much of anything. The most we've gotten is 4 inches and then a thaw. Meanwhile, people below us are getting feet of snow. I hope we get enough snow before winter is over so I can snow shoe and get all the gypsy moth eggs and other paracites off trees-esp. my fruit trees.

Normally, writersedge..I would be doing the same, worrying about sno melt, and repairing winter's ravages to my property...but due to El Nino, we have had the warmest winter on record for the past 100 years...which was both good and bad for our Olympics, that are over today. In January, we had "a never before" tornado go thru...wrecking havoc, with downed trees, and massive property destruction (even my garage flipped on it's roof) so it has been an on-going challenge to get all the debris picked up and raked up. You should see the mounds of branches, etc. I have 3 acres, some forested...and after the "forest fire" a coupla years ago..I keep the forest floor clear of ground fuel...looks lovely, and a real fire deterrent. I also had a tenant from hell living in my cottage..and thru all the legal "hoops and hoopla"..it took me 2 months of hell to get rid of him. It is a major mess, and will be expenditure..as windows are broken, main door broken off hinges...he ripped down 3 of the interior walls to turn it into a music studio, so it is like starting from square one..repainting, recarpeting..and all the repairs. And amidst all of this, I am a sports enthusiast, so had to take time to watch my favourite venues. Nothing quiet around this neck ofthe woods...oh, and in the mean time...somehow, I got a spider bite in my groin, that looked like Mt. Vesuvius erupting..and is Noe being treated aggressively with antibiotics. Made it very painful to walk! Hopefully, will know what kind of spider...as I wouldn;t wish this bite on anyone. Infected to the size of a grapefruit, and weeping crater the size of a dime. It is an "Owy!" That's it in a nutshell. Take care and cheers!

THank you...so much for the "best response"...to me, like winning a Gold Medal, after all it is the Golden Pencil...truly, Thank you! After reading my response...I realized you had asked a simple question...NOT a complete diary. OMG...we have had this discussion over paper work...the pile of paper-work that I had to fill out..for this eviction was phenomenal! I'll bet today, I can quote every section and sub-section of the "Landlord, Tenanct Act"! Even after all of this damage...NOT paying his rent...it took me 55 days to have him legally evicted..and during all that time, I could NOT turn off the amenities. So NOT only costing me a month's rent...all the damage...I had to pay for him to live there for 55 days....and NOW I have to keep all the diatris he left behind for 60 days...before I can dispose of it! Aha...the spider bite. Yes, just like your brother..went to sleep, all was fine, next morning, huge lump...by 10 a.m. it had erupted. Gross! I have only been on Cephalexin 500mg for about 40 hours..and it is already helping. Dr. was concerned as it was so close to Femoral artery..have to have it checked by Health Nurse today! Today will be a lazy one...as I must watch the Hockey Game at noon..then Closing Ceremonies..right after. Once again, thank you..take care & Cheers!

Wow! Glad no one was in the garage when it flipped on its roof. Must have done a lot of damage. Hope you didn't have too much in it. All the wicked amounts of snow have been below us, too. We had a tornado touch down in our town last year, uprootted a one hundred year old tree. One of my brothers had a wicked spider bite a couple of years ago. His was on his stomach. He had some kind of tubing and anti-biotic pack attached to it. It had blown up to the size of his fist just overnight after he had been bit during the night some time. But there was a dark blood line almost to his heart by that morning because he had blood poisoning. He didn't show it to me. He said it looked absolutely awful and now he hates spiders.

We have "tail-end" tornadoes, but nothing where you can actually see them until that tree. Sorry your tenants were so bad. My cousins had people that came in and punched out the walls, axed the doors and smashed windows, too. Cost them many thousands to get it back into shape. It takes one to two months to evict here, too. Seems like the badguys have all the rights, doesn't it?

Hi, Edge! I've gotten way behind, too. First it was a protracted illness, then so much work that had to be caught up. Life flies by fastest when there's more to do than there is time to do it!

Very true! I did get my slush removed. The ruts are only partially filled in. But my path through to the woods is finished. So 2/3 today. I hope you're able to catch up soon. Take care.

My interest in my lot, like my interest in everything else, comes and goes in cycles. Sometimes I am here every day for a month, then I am not here for a month. I don't consider it falling behind, as there is no requirement to be here, but I'm here for enjoyment.

I have over 100 discussions started by my friends sitting in my email box, so it looks like I'm behind to me, esp, with dates to the previous month on them. But we all have different ways of looking at Mylot. Thanks for your input and take care.

Hi my friend. You sound very busy because of the weather conditions where you live. It is not awfully enjoyable to be having to shoveling snow, ice and slush. Good luck with getting your taxes ready. I have been busy over the last few weeks. On 15th February I passed my practical driving test. So now I am able to drive my car around it makes a big difference to how much time I have available. I can drive to the shops much quicker than I could going by bus. Parking my car in tight spaces can be a learning experience. I was upset when my flight to Halifax was canceled due to the travel company I booked with going out of business. I am happy again because I have booked a flight to Vancouver. I shall be going there in June 2010.

That's wonderful news that you were able to rebook. I live on the other side of the states near Quebec, on the border of that, in NYS. Too far for me to go visit you. Too bad, I went to Vancouver before and it was wonderful. I hope you get to go see the botanical gardens. They're absolutely wonderful! The temps were good, so it wasn't bad. The air was so crisp and clean. I love the air below 50 and above 32 degrees F. My allergies don't bother me then. It wasn't damp out either. So strangely enough, it was a perfict day for me. Congratulations on your passing your driving test! That's wonderful. Yes, the new independence is elating and a great time saver. The reponsibilities, esp. to not scrape or injure another car in parking spaces, can be difficult. You'll get the hang of it. Our instructors and testers always tell us, the test is not the end, just the beginning of becoming a better driver. That's something people have to work at every day. Be careful of the ones that don't work at it. Sounds like this is a pretty eventful time for you in your life. Have fun and take care.

I find myself being lagging for a bit too on the lot. Been trying to catch up with unfinished work, and then with the time that I have, trying to get some rest too. It's been getting hot too here in Sg, so there aren't many people going out to enjoy the weather..

Well as of this writing I am an on board a ship heading for Dumaguete City. Its an island that is about 6 hours boat ride from my city. I will be conducting training there for about three days. I am quite busy this month and have not been able to post much here in mylot. By the time I get back, I will have to travel again to another place. So it looks like, I wont be able to do much posting in mylot till the end of the month. But surely if I do have a time, like now, I post a few things. I really love mylot and usually spend my free time to post no matter how short.
