Do you ever go to your nearest big city for the day?

We live right on the outskirts of a big city. I guess you might even say we live in the city, although it is a residential neighborhood. San Antonio is set up differently than most big cities. We do go downtown every once in a while. There are many museums, restaurants, and the River Walk. It is a really easy city to get to and drive around in. It's nothing like Chicago! It is fun to go see new things.

I have not gone in awhile. The nearest BIG city would be Wichita. If we go we will probably go to the zoo, do some shopping, and perhaps visit some museums. I would love to take hubby to a dinner theater production, even if it were for a matinee. Since I am not tied to a job now, it may happen more often. My only problem is if we drive one hour to get there, I would be glad to drive two more hours to get to see my family. I was trying to do that once a month. We have not done much of anything lately, though.

My nearest big city is about 30miles away and my main reason for going is to see my son but I'll sometimes have a bit of a wander into museums and such like for an hour or so whilst he's busy. I've only been once since Christmas but i'm hoping it wont be long before I can get another trip up there.

Hi! yes, I have done this several times last year, because the enarest big city is just 90 km from the town where I live now. I have traveled by the train, because it is cheaper for student, and I have spent my time there really nice, because the city is on the sea and there are so many things to see there or you can just go and swim in the sea or lying on the beach1

I rarely go to Minneapolis, maybe for a twins game or something like that. I went to Los Angelos with my cousins (who live there), it was awesome!
