Hi everyone. That was a holiday in my town and the highway was totaly free from vehicles. It was 2009, it made me happy bcoz i can drive my vehicle on 100km per hour and i did it. I drove my vehicle on 100km even just above but after a while, i came to my normal speed. Reason, my handle began to tremble and eyes began to flow. Have you ever driven your vehicle on 100KMPH or above? What was your experience? What is your average driving speed? Please share. Thanks in advance.

I don't mean I drive at 80 miles per hour on highways/expressways. I usually follow the speed limit and when I go over which is not often it's only maybe 5 miles. So in a 75 mile speed limit highway there is a chance you may reach 80 once in a while.

Are you kidding? 100 kph is about 62 mph and I drove about 70 mph today on the freeway. I wouldn't do it on surface streets though, more like 35 - 50 mph.

Dangerous. Dont take a chance again. U need more experiences to surpass other vehicle. Dont treat yourself as a superman. At first u should learn all everything and hope ur brother will cooperate u. Just ask him politely. Thanks for response.

Hi, i agree that risk is life. But if u are unexperienced and too young, then u dont know how, when and where a risk should take. Thanks for contribution.

hi! yes, I have driven my, well it wasn't mine actually, vehicle on 100 KPH and even faster. The top speed I have ever reached was 140 KPH on the highway in HUngary. it was 2 years ago, i was on a trip with some of my friends and we went to Hungary. On the back move to Bulgaria my friend gave me the car so that I can drive it. I was so excited. i know it was very dangerous but the adrenaline in my veins was on max :)

140, 160, am i dreaming? Or its quiblai khan for me? Incredible for any driver of my province. U yaah u. Drive just 1km here and u will see a board " drive slow, men at work". After half km ' school ahead", after crossing three consecutive speed breakers, u will see "u turn ahead", next to it "weak bridge". Just tell me can u drive here on 80? Highways are something better than the description. Thanks for response.

Well if you think about it 100 KMPH isn't much..I have reached that speed my first year of driving license, but I guess it depends, maybe in your country there are much lower speed limits or maybe you drive a slow car, just think that here the top speed on the highways is 130KMPH and some people even pass that. When you reach that speed you need to have very firm hands because every small movements makes a big change in the car direction. You asked what is the fastest I've driven, well i can't remember honestly also because when I had the chance to speed up I didn't want to get distracted watching the speed, but the fastest I have been going with a car is about 220 KMPH and that was in Germany with a friends because there are no speed limits there, my friends is an expert driver so he could do that.
@shibham (16977)

Incredible 220 here in my location but i do believe you. Here some points. 1. Speed limit is limited even sometimes to 40. 2. You will gotta arrested by police if u are in 100. 3. Roads are curvy and rough. 4. No zebra crossing. U will see cow, goat, dog here and there and many more. Thanks.
• Italy
8 Mar 10
Yes I thought so, it all depends from where we drive, in germany there are no speed limits and the roads are just perfect and it's difficult to find animal crossing an highway. 200kmph can be easily reached with a good car so it's very possible to travel that fast :)
@shibham (16977)

Yes, that i wanted to say. Our roads are not so perfect and over 80kmph becomes risky. So my handle trembled that day. Have a nice day.

I'm really confused by this discussion, all of your numbers seem to be very low. Here where I live, we have highways that the speed limit is 110km/hour...I once got my car to 200. Only once though. On a very, very straight stretch into the middle of nowhere. Wanted to see how fast it would go.

Hahaha.. Come here to guwahati (india). Your confusion will be all cleared. Hehehe. If u can drive on 150kmph for just 15minutes, u will be honored by gold medle. Not joking. Its true friend bcoz speed always relies on road condition. Thanks.

wow! haha how was the feeling? you didn't feel scared? and you are just alone that time driving? good that you didn't lose the break! well, well, i don't have a car or any vehicle and i don't know how to drive, but if i were to have & learn to...i think i will not dare do that! hehe i don't have the courage of doing so and safety is always first for me...

no. its not a matter at all to be scared, hahaha...if u read some responses in this discussion , then i think u will be blast. hahaha. yes, according to road condition, its may be dangerous sometimes. anyway thanks for response ckyera. lol

100 kmph is too fast for your car? Interesting Depending on the country I always obbey the speed limits. In countries where it is permitted I usually drive at 100 kmph or more -in highway, of course, inside cities that's dangerous-.

actually I can't drive a car, but I can ride a motorbike. but I never rode my motorbike in that speed. it's ridiculous to ride a motorbike in that speed, cos motorbike is not as stable as a car. so that's why I never ride my motorbike so fast beside I don't have skill to ride motorbike in that speed. LOL. I usually ride my motorbike on 70-80 KMPH.

Ridiculous? But why? I rode my bike at that speed. Yes its true that its not stable like a car so my handle trembled. But in case of 180cc bike, u have nothing to afraid of. Road condion is also a matter to surpass 100. Thanks

hi shibam , thank you for asking this question . i am a big bike lover and would love to ride them all days . i like to ride at high speeds and always do it . but the problem is the roads in my place are very traffic and i cant go at very high sppeds . but i have riden at 100 kmph once in the highway and it was a awesome time . i was not wearing a helmet and i just cant see anything . it was a great time . usually i will ride at an average of about 50 kmph normally . i cant go above that speed in the traffic i have in my city .

Thank u dilip. I think 50 to 70 is a normal speeh and drivar has a well control on his driving. When i was a newbie in driving and had some excitements, i tend to ride fast but as u have said the road condition is too bad here and speed breakers are anywhere as well as u and l turns. Thanks oh always wear helmet. Haha

The fastest I have ever driven on the freeway is 160 km/h, over a distance of about 5 kms. Then my hands began to shake and I slowed down. Driving between 100 and 120 km/h is normal for me on the expressway. Even at that speed I have faster cars zipping past me. On any highway my normal in the slower range driving speeds are 90/100.

Hi friend, i think the driving speed depends on control capacity. In case of your city 100kmph may be normal but here in my city i can bet that no one can drive in your said speed. Here i would like to say u that too much speed is dangerous. Thanks for response. Lol

I have always been quite a fast driver. 65-80 would be my normal speed. I used to street race though. so...I'm not sure exactly how fast I would get to . I don't remember. I used to race my bf's 6 speed camaro Z28. It was so fly.

100kmph is nothing grand. I come from a country with very low speed limits and no real highways adequate for speed. Still the best or worse thing about it is that we go around at much higher speeds than that. I personally have a bmw which is relatively quite fast. 120, 130,160 i've seen quite regularly on our roads,and i still think i can go faster. The goverment has over the past few years started installing speed cameras which is a farce. i'll speed up before, slow down, then speed up again. It's what everyone does.Not responsable, but if you can't beat them, join them.

no, i cant imagine to drive any vehicle o your said speed. its totally impossible here. our government has approved maximum 100km in some certain highways, yet its hard to drive o that speed. thanks for response.

100kmph...is really good.I went up to 80kmph i think then I came to normal speed.My bike is very much new that time so I didn't take any risk.Otherwise I also would have tried but it is doubt that I will reach 100kmph.For that 80kmph itself my eyes was full of water.I was not wearing helmet also.But it is a great experience...I enjoy bike driving..

Its too bad but same to me. I too dont like helmet. It makes me itchy in my head. But in case of long journey i wear bcoz then i tend to drive on or above 70. As i have said that only once in my life i drove on 100. But now it is impossible and i get scared too . Hahaha. I think 70 is a good speed for destination. Thanks friend.

Hi I normally drive my two wheelers around 35 KMPH and four wheeler around 60 KMPH. But yes i enjoy speeding up, particularly when driving four wheeler, When road conditions are extremely good. When I went to Jammu, in India, while visiting Vaishnodevi Temple, the roads were so wonderful, i did not realised That I reached about 120 to 125 KMPH. My better half, Traffic polic next to me in Car, warned me and i came back to 100 KMPH, I drove about 125 KM distance at that speed. It was really a great fun to do so!

Hi friend. Nice story u have, u were warned by police and its true we have no permmision to drive on over 100. In my localiy, most of roads are stone roads, no pavement at all. So we are bound to drive on 50 to 60. Thanks
