My brother and I went shopping on Sunday. We listened to Garrison Keiler on the radio. We were laughing at the "How many _____________ does it take to change a light bulb?" They had a sound effects "competition show" (it was a spoof on competitive shows). I've always loved their sound effects and a whole bunch of them rapid fire by sound effects people was amazing. Between the jokes and the sound effects, my brother and I laughed a lot. So when was the last time you laughed and why?

Yesterday I had a good laugh. My father is a great teaser. My wife says that I am a lot like him. My nine year old's condition does not let him distinguish between when someone is having a laugh at his own expense or else teasing him in a friendly manner. For some reason or another, my son does not like my father's jokes. Yesterday my dad told him, I heard that your dog is being beaten by another at the dog shows.? My son immediately answered "Well there is always another show!" He made me laugh, because he was so quick to find an excuse. the list is endless. My father asked him to bring a kangaroo or a kaola while we were on holiday in Australia. My son replied, grandpa we could no because it is illegal to do so. People with Aspergers tend to take things literally. I hope that my son starts to distinguish between when one is teasing and one is making fun of you. He is still young but I don't want him to suffer later on in life

I like the upbeat response of the first one and the legal knowledge of the second one. I'm impressed. He sounds like a very smart young man with a definite flare for problem-solving to me.

I have three brothers, all with different disabilities. I'm proud of all of them. Some day, when your son is an adult. You'll have seen him grow and mature. He will demonstrate abilities in different things and you will be even more proud than you are not. They blossom and grow. They become adults with interesting gifts and abilities. You're welcome and take care.

Last week end I watched one of my favorite movies Mr. Hobbs Take A Vacation with James Stewart and Maureen O'hara. It is halarious with Jimmy as the father and he and his family go to the beach and are staying the summer in a beach house that turned out to be a fright. It is so funny and I get a kick out of no matter how many times I see it.

It is just the silliest thing with two of the funniest scenes I have seen in ages. He goes bird watching and come home all sore and out of sorts and has all these funny names for the birds. And another is when he goes into the bathroom to fix the plumbing and steam enveloped the room and he does realize but his quest's wife is her skimpy teddy behind the curtain readying to take a bath.

Oh, I do not remember the last time I laughed. I will have to put it on the to do list for today. I am sure I have laughed some, but not the deep laughter that brings tears to my eyes and has me gasping for breath. I need some of that kind of laugh.

Well I am laughing right now because I am watching an episode of SNL where Will Forte made a song about Woman's HERstory month. SNL is just funny and I love to watch it because it makes me so happy and makes my day a whole lot better.

Glad you're happy. I've never been one for Saturday Night Live. I can't even stay up that late, to say nothing about laugh when I'm half-asleep. I couldn't believe how many people couldn't distinguish between Sara Palin in real life and the one on there. Makes me wonder about people on there.
