I was fixing my profile page today and I was looking for a site that created avatars. I was about to make one when I realized that I did not know whether to make it almost identical to me or just make something that I wish would look like me.
Anyway, I'm not gonna tell you what I opted for.
How about you? Is your avatar really close to your features or just a mock up of something you dream to be. I wish I could find a site that makes them in anime or fantasy styles. You know of any site that do that?

I don't have a pic up, but I've been thinking about making an avatar to put up here. I don't really like the idea of a bunch of people seeing how I really look! I'm a bit shy & don't think I'd do well if I had a stranger come up to me & say 'Hey, I know you from myLot!'

Someone the other day kept on asking me where I live. I was not really that ready to give out details yet so I kept on evading her questions. In fairness, she was really nice and was honestly a bit curious, too. I just think giving your personal details here is way too soon.

Hi abitcurious! I would like to say that the one in my avatar is really me, my own picture. Actually I was using my other real picture before until someone requested me to change it, so I have done it. I may not be cute enough using my own photo but at least I'm just being real. Lol! Your avatar is cute, maybe you look like that in real life, wearing sunglasses, likes to wear headband and with curly hair. Am I right? Well, have a nice day and happy myLotting!

My hair was very dark brown, almost black. But I was cursed with my mom's genes and started going gray pretty young. Now it's "natural" reddish brown. lol

Doesn't really matter if your cheeks are chubbier now. I really like your hair. I like it's color. Really vibrant. Me I'm a Filipina so I have black hair.

No my avatar is an anime... LOL, Yes, I used this picture of mine (this is me)in all of my article-writing sites. I also used it here in myLot. It's a little blurred but it's just fine.
Can I know the site which creates personalized avatars? I want to make one,

My avatar is a gift given by my partner when he went overseas for a business tip. I have always loved Hello Kitty items and even have a small collection, not just of stuffed dolls but of other stuff too. I have a notebook binder that is Hello Kitty, and small plastic perfume bottles. So I can say that my avatar is really me.

My avatar is really me. I change it sometimes, but usually the picture is me. I think the first avatar I ever used was of my cat...then I changed it to a picture of me holding a goat. Now it's a picture of me a a friends wedding reception!

I think I'm quite wary about using own photos in the Internet. Once it's out there, it's really out there. You don't have control over it anymore.

Hi abitcurios,
My avatar definitely not me. My avatar is only a words that say I am coming back again. It is just to say that every time I make a posts here, I really come to that discussion and want to participate in that discussion.
I really do not have any idea about avatar site. I create my simple avatar by myself using photoshop. It is just a words and I believe everybody can make one of their own.

Hmm, my avatar is really a photo of me. It's a picture of a blob of cream...that's smiling at you! Look at its smile!
I don't really know the reason I chose it. I drew it with MS Paint and saved it in JEPG format. SInce then, I've been using it as a my avatar. I also drew a female version, with glittering effect added. If I have to say what it represents, I would say it represents happiness and humour. I hope you'll smile at it!

No, I have to say that I don't know of any site that does that. And yes, my avatar picture is really a picture of me. Or rather, a cartoon version of me. But it is still me nonetheless. LOL

OH congratulations!!! that is really nice. I do hope you're taking care of yourself and eating enough. I think when women get pregnant they should be showered with love since they really are fulfilling a very special role in our society.
