I did the other night for the first time. It was out in the country and we had a lot of fun. We had drinks and roasted smores and hotdogs over the fire. I had my dog with me so I had to hold on to her because I did not want her to run away from me out there in the middle of now where. So my question is have you even had or been to a bonfire and how was the experiance? Let me know happy mylotting to all!

Hi, momtrying2makeit. No. I have never been to a bonfire before. It sounds like you had so much of fun though. Maybe one day, I will get that chance to go. If I was to, I would like to go along with several people.

Hello cream97 Me too. Never been to a bonfire, but I think it is quite hard to have a bonfire after graduated, at least I think no one would enjoy bonfire at my age.

i think i remember we had bonfires during camping when i was still in school. scouts held regular camping in different places, and sometimes, they hold it in the same school we are in. so it is a good experience with camping and bonfires.

I have been to a couple of bonfire. I really enjoy them. Smores and hotdogs are the best at a bonfire! It is a very relaxed type of event. It's a nice idea for an outside get together..especially in the fall. It's cooler than and you can enjoy the heat from the fire more.

I've never been to a bonfire but was always amazed about it. My dream bonfire would be on a beach with family and loved ones making smores and having barbecue. I've always imagined it to be fun and memorable. I wish I could organize one for my family one of these days.

I was part of the bonfire at school. First one when our University basketball team won in a basketball tournament. Bonfire is a tradition and it is needed that all of the student be present for programs and of course for School pride. The other one was a school bonfire too. but this was not my school anymore, but my favorite team. We went there and enjoyed the night. We did not feel we didn't belong there because all of the student from different schools are invited to celebrate the winning. Oh I remember we had a school bonfire at our school when I was in gradeschool. that was for Girlscout and Boyscout activity. That was fun because that was my first bonfire and we are all excited.

Hello momtrying2makeit I have no experience on it, never been to a bonfire, but I have had barbecues. I think it must be a very good activity, as we all friends or relatives could have a happy gathering, and I can imagine how beautiful the bonfire could be in the dark.

We have them year round around here, alot of us have fire pits in our yards. The kids have alot of them during their football season and we do them on weekends when we have company or just want to set outside at night without the bugs eating us alive. They are a great way to have alot of fun for alot of people wthout breaking the bank. and the mess, that comes with large groups of people, stays outside.

I don't have much memory of my first and only bonfire experience. It was during my early years in grade school. I was a star scout or girl scout then. There were no hotdogs or barbeques just a few singing. Now that I'm already an adult I would love to join a bonfire with hotdogs and marshmallows for my kids.

I really enjoy this kind of outings and having barbecue in the beach or anywhere outside the home. We used to organize gatherings of this sort during my college days, setting up camps and staying overnight while enjoying the all night bonfire. I have not gone back to doing this nowadays as there is not enough crowd to participate unlike those days.

Yes I have, and like you I enjoy it a lot. Some friends of ours have us out to their ranch a couple time each summer and we roast wieners and marshmallows and yes we enjoy smores. We usually get together in the spring and again in the fall. We used to go to the river about every weekend and have a fire there and cook breakfast of bacon and eggs and coffee. I think it tastes better this way.

I've only been to bonfires, when I was younger for church stuff. We just did the hotdog, marshmallow thing, and told stories. Then of course when the adults are all occupied we throw things into the fire to see how big we can get it going.

Yes, I've been to three or four bonfire activities. Three was in school together with my classmates and two was in church together with my co Christians. When I was still studying and especially during high school, we usually had those activities during Friday nights when their will be an overnight gathering in school. And in the church, we had it one newyear's eve as a celebration of what had been a successful year and as another year commences. I love those activities and I truly miss those. Hope that I will be able to join one of those gatherings when I come home.

Yeah, bonfires are really enjoyable. You could have many talks, games, barbeques and others. The more people there are, the more enjoyable. I miss bonfires!
