an adopted Grandma, yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Most of you might remember here that my Daughters best Friend of 12 years adopted me as her second Mum lol 12 years ago
She is like a Daughter to me, last year she got married to her Partner of 6 years
Well Mel and Vicki told me yesterday that Vicki is pregnant, I was so happy for her, she then told me that she hopes I realise this will mean that I will be adopted Grandma, I had tears in my eyes and told her she is a sweetheart, once I know what Vicki is having I shall be buying bits and pieces for her,
Vicki sent me a photo of the Scan and oh I was over the moon and I can see the Baby to
Have you had any good news lately?
I know this has been my first good news for ages lol

Congratulations Adopted Grandma to be! Have fun picking things out for the new baby! That is really great news. As for any great news in my life, none yet but stay tuned! I really hope and need to pray that my husband gets a third shift job like he wants. I think that it would really make him happy so of course I want that for him!

Granny gabs, or as the next post says, nannagabs, or Gramma Gabs sounds good to me, as I am Gramma Heather. I even had a MyLot friend ask to call me Auntie Gerty, which also sounds good to me.

I can kinda relate to that, I'm an "adopted" Grandad...the son and daughter of a good friend adopted me as a father figure (poor fools lol) and a couple of years ago the daughter got married and they had a son.
Congrats, is this going to be a spoiled grandchild (not in a bad way)?

The fact is that I know a bunch of kids since fairly young - and one of the younger ones (now almost 23) and his sister (just turned 21) are the ONLY ones with kids so far.
Kind of shows the difference in upbringing!
My niece (24) and a friend's son - almost 24 - are both still single AND still child-less! Another friend's son, who is 22 is doing well, and single and no kids for him either!

wow! congratulations on being an adopted grandma! that must have you oon your toes and you would be very exited about doing so many thing for your grandchild! sign! i've had no good news lately. . . my exams are gonna start and i wouldn't be around mylot too!
may be after a month i'l be getting the results which would give me some happy news!

The best thing that has happened to me in the last two weeks was getting to meet two of my online friends. One here in Kansas and one in Oklahoma, near my brother. I also learned that although we missed the 50th birthday of a family friend, his best friend from thirty years ago came, and I was happy there. I am so thrilled for you to have Vicki's expected one to focus on now that the move is over. We will all want to hear how things go along for all of you.

hi gabs congratulations on being an adopted grandma, you sound like you will really enjoy this too.Those scans are so precious I missed out on that as I had mine before they were doing those, some of them really come out so well you can see that sweet little baby, really exciting. My only recent good news was my son came to see me, and that after a whole afternoon the day before spent in the ER getting my 210 over 69 blood pressure back down to normal and my blood sugar at 390 down to 178 and avoiding an eminent stroke, oh that was so good, my head ached so bad I thought it would explode, why was all this? the steriod pills my doctor put me on for a rash on myleg!!!! steroids and diabetes do not mesh. the er doctor told me some people on steroids actually got diabetes from the steroids. well never again my son said if any doctor tells you you need a prescription of steroids for some ailment say no I am a diabetic you will have to give me a different medication,I will not take steroids again. I was really sick for awhile there. so good news that they got me back to normal I had my last pill this morning, and never again, gabs no matter what. I was really scared while in the ambulance as my blood pressure was so high. they kept asking me questions the same questions then I realized why. they were testing to see if I had had a stroke.but also seeing my son yesterday and telling him, and having him suggest that I tell my doctor to never again put me on steriods.

Oh Gaby, how exciting for you and Gissi. Grandma Gaby... Sounds pretty good don't ya think? It's nice to have some good news for a change isn't it? Well, let us know when you find out if the baby is a boy or girl.

Yes as a matter of fact. Today I learned that a certain Lab, friend of Gissi is ok. It completely made my day!!!
