Do you take vitamins or food supplements in a daily basis?

Hello! im on my early thirty's and even before that age, i used to take vitamin C and vitamin E on a regular basis, everyday after eating my breakfast i usually take those two. Recently, i even take malunggay capsule its a food supplement made from malunggay leaves (moringa oleifera. According to the recent studies about this miracle tree, malunggay leaves has 4x the calcium in milk, 3x the potassium in banana same vitamin C contents of 7 oranges, 4x the vitamin A in carrot and much much more. For a mere 6 pesos per capsule, my body will benefit much so i promised myself to take this vitamins and food supplement for the rest of my life. My fellow myLotters, do you take vitamins and food supplements on a regular basis too? Have a great day ahead!

Yeah I do love eating malunggay when I was in my hometown but I am out of country now so i eat most of lettuces. I do take multivitamins and higher dosages of vitamins c whenever i feel like i am going to sick.like flue and fever. nowadays food supplement is necessary when fresh veggies is rare. but aside from all this water is always on side at least 8 glass a day. stay active even it's hard to stay happy sometimes.

Hello inday_lorna! Really? wow, glad to know that you also love eating malunggay. It's a very nutritious and very delicious veggie as well and not just that, it is now considered as "miracle tree" and "nature's medicine cabinet" from around the world because of many wonders it gave to human kind. You are so right for saying that you still ate veggie as a substitute for it, lettuce was also good. Vitamin C was proven to boost our protection from cold, cough etc. but ask your doctor if its okay to take larger dosage of this, as we all know, meds and vitamins should be taken according to what only our body's needs. There should be no excess to what was only prescribed to us so we can be sure that we get the most of its benefits not its side effect when taken in excess. Water was also essential to us just like what you said. Keep on being healthy and keep on smiling always okay? nice to hear your thoughts once again, take care!

hello jinjer! I'm currently taking ferrous sulfate for my blood..I'm always been anemic and having breathing problems so I need it 4x a week..Yeah I heard that malunggay has lots of benefits to the body..maybe I should try some in the future..well vitamin c and e both are good for the skin I should say.. Hello khaezi! camote tops and also ampalaya was a good source of iron, i heard. This will be good for anemic people like you, maybe you could try eating them. Malunggay capsule was so cheap, 6 pesos/capsule but its benefits was so huge... try to research for it. Thanks a lot! God bless...

Yes i take some food stuff which is enrich with vitamins. Daily basis vitamins are very much important to regain the stamina power. Have a healthy life with green vegetable. Cheers

I used to take vitamins but I have a hard time with them and they're just gross. I try to take care of myself in other ways like drink water mixed with a little bit of apple cider vinegar, eat healthy herbs and veggies. Theres room for improvement though.

Hello cupkitties! You've mentioned that you wanted to grow a malunggay tree in the U.S? well its a kind of plant or tree that was really easy to propagate. I wish U.S was near to us so i could give you seeds for you to plant. I agree with you for still eating healthy foods like veggies and healthy herbs. They can gave you much needed nutrients like what we've find in our vitamins, its just that if you missed taking those veggies everyday and you're not taking vitamins, then you missed feeding your body with essential stuffs. Yes i agree with you ridwan08! without healthy foods and vitamins plus unhealthy lifestyle, our bodies will be much more susceptible to diseases. Good to know that you are taking those vitamins on a daily basis, but taking those was only one way to keep our whole being healthy, there's still more other requirement that we should meet to be able to attain a healthy body. Exercise, good sleep, clean living are some of the things we should do to attain that. Thanks and God bless...

Yes I do take vitamins before when I am living together with my boyfriend. Because he always prepared those vitamins for us to take it. But when I moved here in my hometown I no longer take vitamins. I guess and I think I dont need those vitamins because I can say that I am healthy. But before my boyfriend always prepared vitamins c and b complex.

Hi ada! I believe you for saying that you are healthy but we are still young so our bodies was much stronger now, but question is how about tomorrow when we reach the age of 50's or 60's and so on. It's better if we invest for our good health frequently, our food intake for the day was not enough to meet the daily recommended needs of our bodies so better take food supplements okay? You have a point in there. Its good to make investment for our good health. Just that I have not decided that one yet. You are just like my mother, my mom will always convinced me to take this and that. But there was a time that I would feel sleepy in those vitamins. Sometimes I am taking them at night before going to bed. But that is not regular.

I do take vitamins but i also take natural fruits and veggies. It is more essential if you take both. I prefer the herbal ones becoz i think they contain less chemicals.

Hello jeanbug!, well i am like yours also, im a fruit and veggie fan, i always love to eat them everyday because they really tastes good for me plus the fact that they do wonders in keeping us healthy. I don't take multivitamins, but I do take food supplements on a daily basis. Although I am choosy about food supplements, I only take Tiens products for this. I am regularly taking Cordyceps, Tiens Zinc, Tiens Beauty Radiance and Tiens Spirulina. Our doctor also advice this to us so it is safe because it is all natural, not synthetic and most specially, it can benefit our health. Eating fruits and vegetables is good. But we cannot eat 4 oranges with 1 kilo of spinach and then 3 or more bananas and more gallons of milk on a daily basis for our body to absorb the nutrients and vitamins. That is why we need food supplements. But see to it that the company that produces such are ISO certified, has FDA or BFAD approved and has passed the standards for sanitary and health inspections and has won awards. I am personally a believer of wellness companies specially Tiens that really shows the effectiveness of the product.

No one will benefit from it except our own bodies so its nice that you take good care of your whole being this much. Hello jinjer168 me too often do pump some vitamins and proteins, but in form of food stuff.Yeah depending on such medicinal capsules is of no use, we will become dependent on it.Its better t have our vitamins and suppliments through our natural food stuffs, like vegetables, fruits, meats, sea-food, etc.In other words its also called as energy boosters.Anyways keep it up with your health, and try to be natural.Happy mylotting.

Hi there checkmail! yes you are absolutely correct for saying those.. Nothing compares to natural foods for it was the true source of good health that our bodies need. Im taking supplements because most of the time, i neglect to eat my recommended daily serving of different kinds of foods, fruits and veggies for different reasons that's why i take food supplement instead. yes! i do take vitamins (multivitamins & vitamin c) and food supplements, i usually take them 30 min. before my cardio-exercise and weight training to protect my muscle from cortisol..have a nice day!

I do not prefer this. This can give you temporary boost to health but in long term it may be harmful. Everything natural is good and any supplement which is made with vitamins work just like medicines. I think we should go with the natural sources of vitamins and other requirements. I do not take any supplement and do not suggest anyone. I suggest to eat fruits and vegatables to fulfil the body requirements. Wish you good health :)

Hello AjaySinghGaghel! Well we all have our own preference with regards to each and every matter concerning our health. Just like what ive said, yes, nothing compares to natural. Vitamins when take in accordance to what the doctor prescribes i think was good, also the food supplements because all of this was checked for its safety and effectivity before letting it out to the consuming public. Yeah i take multi vitamins every day as well as well as cod liver oil. I see it as more as a kind of insurance, because obviously the best way is to eat a healthy balanced diet

I heard a lot of good feeds about cod liver oil, they say that it makes your skin look good, your bones strong and joints healthy. I would love to try that as well for the next couple of days. Hello sallyj! yes, calcium was good for our bones and teeth, vitamin d however encourage the absorption and metabolism of calcium and phosphorous. I think we could get vitamin D from the sunlight also...while folic acid helps the body in making new cells. I remember that, i take them when im still pregnant before. Folic acid was helpful in preventing serious birth defects from the babies. Thanks for your response and i wish you good health, keep on smiling!

Yes I do take vitamins too. though I haven't use that malungay of yours yet but that is pretty interesting. I take in vitamin c for now in a daily basis, as well as a supplement for my joints because i usually run.

hi jinjer168 yes I take a multivitamin capsule daily and calcium and iron and also baby aspirin to prevent heart attacks.I do not know if we have malunggay capsules here in the US we might have as I have never checked for this particular supplement. I must take iron daily as I am slightly anemic and this helps my blood.

for not necessarily to take a vitamins or some food supplement for our health. eating fresh fruits and vegetable is enough not to take supplementary tablets. you have your own balance diet. make a healthy menu on your dishes. to listen your expenses much prefer to eat fresh food than to take a supplementary tablets..
