Actually, the lazy boy chair. I think it is because it supports my back. But if I try to sleep in a flat bed, I wake up with a very sore back. Don't know why.

Yes, if I sleep with a magic bag under the small of my back, in exactly the right place, sometimes it is okay. But sometimes I move it in my sleep, too. In the lazyboy chair, I have to stay on my back, so maybe that is why it is better and I never have a sore back.

For most of my life, I've always slept better on the couch. A couple of years ago I had the most comfortable couch I had ever sat or slept on in my life. I wish I could have kept it, but it got old and stained (due to a leak in the ceiling of a place I used to live). The couch I have now isn't long enough for me to sleep comfortably on. So for the first time, I sleep better in my bed than I do on my couch. I miss my old couch.

I sleep in my bed but I take my nap on the couch. Some people do like to sleep on the coach and like my husband he has has taken the couch as his bed now.

the bed is more comfortable, at least when you know who isn't bouncing around like it's a trampoline...

If I were living with a guy, I would sleep with my man. I live on my own and I do prefer the couch. I got used to it when all my girls were home. There were not enough bedrooms for them to all have one and me as well so I chose to be the one to go without. I just got used to it. Now it is just me and my daughter but I've yet to buy a bed. I do have a room but it has a little loveseat and not a bed in it. I'm ok with it the way it is. My couch is a huge sleeper couch and really comfy. it's all good.

I'm really ok with it as it is. My couch is comfy and my wallet is sparse. I don't need it. My boyfriend doesn't live with me so it's all good. If he did then maybe I'd think differently but as it is , I can't see spending the money. Even if I bought a bed, I'd probably still sleep on the couch. I'm used to it.

We don't have a couch anymore so the point is a little moot. I did find that in the past a good firm couch seven or eight feet long was more comfortable than a bed. My wife keeps my back warm though and I am prone to getting bad muscle tension headaches when I get a draft. For that reason I prefer the bed.

Our house was originally a trailer. They added a basement and a living room. It has two very small bedrooms. We have a family of seven. We use the living room for another bedroom for my wife, myself and our five year old. No room for a couch.

hmmmh ... sleeping on the couch, what's your back and legs do not feel sick? I never feel asleep on the couch and when I woke, I did not feel fresh all day and I have to feel pain on my waist. whatever the reason, a pleasant sleep is in bed, especially accompanied by a girlfriend

I probably sleep better in bed. In the winter, my nose is always cold, and if I sleep on my side I can cover it up. If I sleep on the couch, I can't lay on my side, so my nose stays cold. In the summer I sleep on the couch a lot, but not in the winter. I have to sleep on my side anyway, my mattress has a depression and it hurts my back if I sleep on my back or stomach. I ordered a new mattress, so I can't wait to see how I sleep on it.

The couch is like my second bed. I fall asleep on it watching tv at night. Sometimes, depending on how I feel, I stay there all night. But, usually, I wake up in the middle of the night with the tv and realize where I'm at, and go back to bed. But, like you, sometimes, I feel like the couch is more comfortable than the bed.

I have not had a really comfortable couch in a long time. I sleep better in bed. I got new pillows and they are heavenly. I also got a new comforter that is cotton on one side and wide wale corduroy on the other, and it is so pleasant. It is warm, but not heavy.I do like sleeping in recliners, but that can get bad for your back.

A comforter is something people either use as a blanket or bedspread. It is thicker, usually has two layers of fabric with some filling or batting in between. Really expensive ones have down in them. This one does not. It is practical, warm, but light weight, so it does not keep me from turning over, or hurt my toes.

the boyfriend may be part of why you are waking up I've had to tell the roomie that she needs to shut the bathroom door when she flushes because the sound wakes me up, tho seldom so soon as to know what it was that woke me up

doormouse, From your previous posts, I gather that it could be that you are a light sleeper or that your partner's snoring is really becoming more than a midnight rhapsody. The way I see it would be to have your partner seek some professional help with his snoring or he could let you sleep before he does. It's called caring and consideration here. If not, then sleeping separate beds in the same room might just be the better solution here. I just do not advocate that you sleep on a couch as they are really not fit for slumber rest as they do not have the fittings to accommodate proper support for your back and neck. An occasional nap would be fine, but for a night's rest is just not good for you, if you know what I mean. Take care.

doormouse, I am glad to hear this. In the meantime, you may want to consider having your partner's snoring looked at by a doctor. I am just being on the look out as snoring is a sign of some dormant medical condition. Read more: http://www.medicinenet.com/snoring/article.htm

Hi doormouse, me, i usually have my goodnight sleep in my bed but i sometimes sleep on the floor, of course with a mattress on it. When i travel and sleep in hotels or other houses, i could not sleep well because i miss my bed specially on the first night.

I sleep a lot better on my bed, but then again, maybe that is just because I only turn to sleeping on my couch when I'm not feeling good and haven't tried sleeping on it just for the heck of it. Haha.
