It depends on the kind of help being offered. For instance, one time we had an accident..not a bad one, the car behind us hit us from behind. As we look different from local (even though we stayed here for 4/5 years already, people still regard us as outsiders), one guy who was coming on a bike started helping us by translating and well, acting as a mediator. I was not about to refuse that help.

You are right. They will offer help, but to be paid in Delhi & many other Indian airports as well as major railway head quarters. Thanks

I know what you mean. I sometimes refused help from a stranger, if it is not really necessary. Of course, if you have no choice, you will have to accept. In Delhi airport or any other Indian airport for that matter, there are always some one trying to help you carry your cases or fetch the trolley for you, etc. etc. I always refused those because I know they are going to ask me for money afterwards.

It's depends on what type of help is that person giving. If it's simple help then I will accept but if it's physical or any major help, I will have to think twice. It's not wrong to offer help but we really have to careful nowadays.

Really, a stranger help with higher concern is to be observed and weighted. Because misuse of situations are at large in many places. Thanks for your botheration. Regards, Thank-s

It depends on the situation I think. I am woman and I have to consider my safety before I accept help from strangers, but in some situations I would be happy to receive help from strangers for instanse if I am in a foreign country and need help to translate the language. When I arrived in Poland the staff from the airport asked me some questions, but I didn't understand, and a Polish man stepped forward and offered to translate, I was very grateful for that help. Another stranger in Poland helped me buy a bus ticket and wrote a note to the driver explaining where I was going, that was also a great help.

Actually over the last 18 months I have received much help from people I have never seen and people I don't even know. And actually, tonight I am going by my aunt's house to pick up boxes of stuff that was sent to me for my new apartment - all from people who do not know me, and I do not know them either!

Yes, help is blind. It can be accepted or can be offered also. There is no need to discriminate to accept a help in whatever form. It is a sign of voluntary willingness towards others. It is a state of mind not necessary that every one must have. Thank your for your comments. Thank-s

Hello thanks, I will gladly accept the help from someone I've never seen even though I don't know him/her well. He/she's offering help and it will help me a lot if really am in need so why I wouldn't accept it. Surely you will pay her/him later or in other way you will be able to pay her/him if you help someone too who are in need of help.

There are instances like, someone is looking for a job, and you come to know that he is in need of the same. As you are aware and you know some offer details and ready to provide as a help to get the job. Only because you are not familiar with the other person you just deny or not responded. This situation came across to me recently. That persuaded me to ask this question. However, thanks for your valid opinion and warm regards. Thank-s

I would. You will never know if that person can really help you if you don't give them a try. I say give it a chance and see what happens. Good luck, Kathy

well, it depends. if he or she helps you in a way that he or she will give a ride home or somewhere, then it is better to reject it. but if you think that when he or she helps you have nothing to lose or be scared of then why not. it is a different kind of way of meeting new friends.

Yes, help is always acceptable. But it is better to know how is helping. It is more reasonable. Good comment. Thank-s
