Have you noticed that no sooner have you got money you have to pay all of it out plus more besides.Well i thought i would book my people carrier in for a pre mot just to see how much it will cost me and i got a call to say including the mot vat parts it would be £620 well with that and the road tax thats my £800 swallowed up.Then i remembered i have 3 important birthdays aswell first week in June, there i was thinking of finishing getting a few extra bits to put away for Christmas, that will not happen now.

hi jugsjugs I know I think that a people carrier is a large van or what we here in the US call an SUV. oh yes somehow if a person gets a nice chunk of money fate seems to know how to help you use it all up in things you did not expect to pay for. good luck and God bless.

hi danielthamrin well for me since this retirement center insisted on having my social security and ssi checks come to them, then they take out the rent and board for each money, give me back one hundred twenty five dollars for personal things, it is easy come, and easy for them to grab the money to pay the rent and board. It would to me to have seemed nicer to let me get my checks then pay out of them the 981 dollars each monthl but that is the way they do things there. So no I have no way to do anything about that, but I am earning here and that goes smack dab in my band account from paypal. it is none of Gold crests bu siness if I make a little extra money on the side. he he.

I don't know what a people carrier, pre mot or mot vat are. But I know what you mean. Every time you think you have a little extra money, something comes up and you end not having any extra. It also seems when you do have a little extra, it is never enough. If you used it for all the things you would want, you'd be in debt.

I know what you mean, even if I do not understand all of the words or terms. You have spent probably the equivalent of US dollars of $1000,I think. You are getting a vehicle inspected so you can tag it, and the parts you need and the other taxes are expensive. I had a little money set aside and I managed to have to spend it all on house repairs. Tags are due on our vehicles this month as well.

My husband and I don't have that much money. I work online only, I used to have a job but was laid off. So he has a job and all of our bills are paid from that. By the time we are done paying bills, though there aren't as much as if we were living on our own, the money is pretty much gone or we want to save it. I am trying to earn a little extra online so that we can pay off one of our bills early without having to dip into the money we want to save.

yeah.. the more money you have, the more expenses you'll face up! That's why it's super hard to save money or keep an extra money. We all need to sacrifice a bit to save more. Gosh. I am so tired of trying to keep some money. But we all have to keep doing it. Happy Mylotting!!

yeah, very true. Since in our country currency the money have a messages itself which is written like this that the money is intended for payment. So that it goes to show , people work to earn then have to spent it around so it is the main purposes.

There is no such thing as extra money here. My dad asked me last month why I bought so few groceries at a time. Once a week I go to the store and get a very small amount of food. I told him because I never knew how much money I would have! I have to go week by week with groceries because I never know how much the bills will be, or what unexpected things will appear that need to be taken care of.

It's not strictly speaking the right thing to do,but I found in the past if I took the car into the garage before MOT I could be paying for a bunch of stuff that I might not need..My last car (I traded it in this year under the scrappage scheme, rather than go through MOT again and risk a failure and paying for catchup work when the car wasn't worth it-the tailgate wasn't locking properly,it needed a washer pump, and it had engine issues that previous work hadn't fixed)-I'd have had it checked out for MOT beforehand, and the second last time, despite some work,it failed anyway! Last time,I applied and took it along without any "Pre" work, and it passed! If Money's a problem,I'd think about letting the MOT highlight any problems,THEN get them fixed..that way,you know the work is necessary, not just padding by the Garage..

we really have to deal with it. even when you work harder each day, at the end of the month, you will find your earnings, your salary is not enough just to pay for the bills, etc.

Oh boy....sounds like my life...hubby is self employed so we dont get paid weekly or on a schedule it is when the job is done, so when the money comes in it goes out just as fast because everyone else needs to get paid when we get paid... it is a sad way to live but a few yrs ago we were doing well and had tons of jobs...now they are farther in between and we still have bdays, holidays, bills, car issues....etc. etc. etc...... that is why I started working online....only the last few weeks I havent been home so I wont make as much this month to help us out and that is going to hurt us in the long run. but I am going to try to get in as much as I can in the next 2 wks and see what I can earn... good to you in your earnings and I hope everything works out for you. Happy Mylotting.

Yes thats so true. before u get to relish the money that you have got through some source you hav to pay it off for useless stuff like debts, taxes etc. earning more than u can spend seems lik an illusion.

Tell me about it jugsjugs, I hate it. We work so hard for 30 days to get this money and it takes just 3 days to find ourselves broke again.... .NO matter how much you try to save...something will come up to shatter your dreams. I am fed up of bills which are always ready to knock your door. Sometimes I envy those who get property inherited by ancestors and they are always rich without doing any hard work...while some are like me always working hard and not getting anything....I wish we were allowed to print some currency at home....

jugsjugs, Let me say that you are not alone here as far as stretching your money and the shortage feeling. As for me, since young where I would literally live out a week without a single dollar in my wallet - I have made a serious vow that I would never ever live that experience again. So, I have never fail to save my earnings and I will always make it a point to cut back ruthlessly on my expenses and personal spending than my savings. I just believe that such sacrifices are well worth and in today's realistic world finding an outstretched hand is just close to impossible. Rather than depend on people, I just believe I have to depend on myself, so it is charity begins at home for me.

I presume a people carrier is what we call a people mover here, is it a van? Regardless I appreciate what you are saying, money is not enough anymore. We’ve had several mortgage interest rate rises in a row and because of this we are left with around $25 per fortnight after all the bills have been covered! I never thought we would get to the point when we would be relying on my online earnings to make ends meet. It’s a very scary situation!

Ah, this is a problem faced by many. All the richest people I know say it is a mind set, something we believe. If we just chose to believe with all our hearts that more money came in then what was required to go out, this problem would be solved. It works for all of them, it may work for you too. I know it has been working for me, when I keep the thought in my head on a consistent basis, which is a simple, yet difficult thing to do. Sincerely and With Appreciation.

i fell short comprehending the terms you used but i know what you mean. :-) you are not alone, dear. my husband and i is finding way to make both ends meet and have a little extra for our savings, but, then unexpected expenditures would soon arise like hospitalization(it is often the case). well, i'm hoping this year will be a different story for us when it comes to our financial. ..
