Do You Value Rich People over Poor????

We all have the power to choose what we deem important in this world. People choose that the wealthy are most important. Rich movie stars, singers, executives, politicians all carry people following them. Every year they name the world's richest people. Do you value the rich over the poor?? Is this what God really wants???? We are all God's children so we are all equal in God's eyes. The homeless beggar on the street is every bit as good as the richest man. Have you listened to any beggars lately???? Why do people think they have nothing to say???? Everyone holds a different view. God gave us so many different views so that we could see a larger picture than any one person could. There is so much a person does not see in life. That's why we have each other. Could you be missing a point of view by only listening to the rich?? Perhaps people value the rich because they want to be rich and hope to gain secrets. Being a truly wealthy person has very little to do with money. Spiritual wealth is really the only true wealth. If God sees all people as equal, maybe we should as well. Let's find out what we are missing. Who knows by interacting and maybe helping a poor person, you might learn the greatest lesson of all.

Uh...apparently a whole lot of people value what rich people HAVE PRODUCED over the production of poor people. How do you think the rich people became rich? It's not because they were valued more as persons; they just provided something with value for which many people were willing to pay. Diffused benefits produced from a concentration of talent.

Good point. Of course, not every rich person made it that way. If the value was just over what the rich person produced, so many would not have such a following. Thanks for your comments!!

You're right about some rich people not achieving their wealth from the production of highly valued things. But wealth can only be created by production in a society that's free of the nostrums of government. Political patronage can also create wealth...as can theft. In societies with the most freedom, there are many more people creating things of value to others. That's why you will find so many wealthy people to which you refer. Still, I think we agree that there is some value in everyone -- even the poor. I'm ready to join a crusade with you to teach people to find the value in all we encounter.

i know alot of people both rich and poor. some rich people are the biggest jerks and snobby well some of the poor people i know are the nicest and kindest people ever. so to me being rich or poor isnt the question its the person themself and how they carry themself. like me i would fall under poor but i am a good hearted person who will reach out to help others if i can. give me last dollar to help. go and help all hours of the nights. so to me its the person themself not what they have. seen so many who will treat people different by how much money they make.

When one finds a poor person willing to give you the shirt off their back so to speak, there is alot that can be learned spiritually from them. Thanks for your comments!!

That is a very sane reply syankee. :) I agree. It is the person, and not the wealth or lack of it that influences how we interact with them.

In my life I have ppl who are extremely wealthy...some who are not and everything in between. I myself have been below poverty level and homeless and I've been well off...its neither here nor there IMO. TO ME..a persons material/finacial wealth or lack of is unimportant to me...i could care less how much money one has or doesnt have..What I value is CHARACTER! thats it, thats all..

Hello bird123, I think poor people have just as much wisdom as some rich people. Some rich inhearited there wealth and was passed down in the family. Soem family memebers can loose it all by making bad choices. Poor work harder and enjoy what little they have more and longer. I see poorer the family may have better family relationms too going on. Do not get me wrogn there are a lot of poor people making horrible deciosion and some of it because they do not know a better way to get out there circumstance and or to dependent on other stuff in there life to make money. Thanks and have a great day Sincerley unique16

All are definitely not born rich or poor, some are born rich, some poor depending upon their karma..I know many rich persons who were poor and many poor who were rich About the beggers, very few here are real beggers, many are cheats, begging is their profession, they maintain cell phones, cars have a dual living standard, i hate them.. Thanks for sharing. Welcome always. Cheers. Prof

Perhaps those cheats are begging for something other than money. Point them in the right direction. Thanks for all your comments.

i treat everyone as equal if the rich help the poor to lead a decent living then i respect the rich because inspite of the wealth that they have in hordes they are still modest and think about the condition of the poor and help them in any way that they can be it in cash or in kind .... so join hands and initiate something like the Joy Of Giving Week wherein people from all backgrounds come forward and help the poor in any way that they can and do their bit

James 2:1My brothers, as believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, don't show favoritism. 2Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in shabby clothes also comes in. 3If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, "Here's a good seat for you," but say to the poor man, "You stand there" or "Sit on the floor by my feet," 4have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?

Yes, I'm afraid it is done everyday. This narrow view prevents people from seeing what really is. Hmmm??? You gave me an idea. Maybe we should all dress up in shabby clothes and walk in the world. Won't be long before you find someone to talk to. Perhaps shine a light into some eyes. Surprises for everyone in any event. The minute they start getting ugly with you then you have them just where you want them. Hmmm??? Think of the possibilities. Thanks for all your comments!!

i rather value poor people its because when poor people is a person that dont hide ther personality. when you help poor people they will remember you and they wont easily forget the good thing that you done. rather than rich people mostly hide ther personality. its just like when rich people smile you dont dont if there happy or just having fun at you..

Interesting point. The snobs of the world can't be happy all bottled up. Better to open up and make a difference in this world. Thanks for your comments!!

I don't think so. I don't make friends with those rich people. They have a pretty expensive lifestyle and I can afford to be their friend. Some might take the opportunity of befriending them, to experience their lifestyle, but I am not into it. Sorry but that's me.

So if you became rich, you could find much better things to do with your money other than material things. OK! I'm the same way. Thanks for your comment.

I dont value rich and poor. The first thing is some rich people may be good some may be bad also similarly poor people are are same alike. They are poor dont means there spirits are good all times. It depends upon what kind of people is. A person should be good from inner whether rich or poor. The person should not be valued by the wealth he have. The goodness in him should be valued.

Yes, I agree. Money has little to do with who we really are. If they don't come out as very good people, maybe it's time to interact and let our goodness influence them in the right direction. Thanks for the comments.

I prefer poor over rich. Poor people deserve more care, attention, love... as, they are deprived of many things in life and everyone should try to think likewise, as, its the way to ensure mutual wellbeing.

The wealth of the mind is the only true wealth.Even if we have no money,we couldn't let our spiritual poverty.I'm sure the god sees all people as equal,so we should see the rich and poor as well.

Envy the wealthy?? So then if you became truly wealthy, would you be happy??? Would the need for more and more money ever be satified??? Think. What would you do with all that money??? Load up all the material things in this world???? How long would it take for the fancy car to get old and become just another car to you? Would the big house and clothes change you that much??? Or do you want wealth because you want the recognition of being somebody??? Aren't you somebody already?? Even your smallest action does change something in this world. I'd say that's pretty important. Thanks for all your comments!!

when we view other people that are rich, a state of mind comprising of "they would have worked hard to earn so much" is created.but after actually viewing the person that is gauging the rich person from his character our viewpoint may change. according to me the person should be valued by his character not with whether the person is rich or poor.according to me thr beggars have poor character just because they live in that sort of environment.so is it correct to blame beggars for their attitude just because they were born in that sort of environment.

Yes, we can't always blame the beggar for their challenges in life. A few suggestions to them could mean more than a monetary donation. Who knows, we might come out of it with knowledge as well. As for the rich, some have not been honest, however some are honest and are doing great things in this world. You are right. Character is important. Thanks for all your comments.
