Have you ever come across irritating/annoying people on the internet. Is it by their lack of knowledge you get annoyed or is it by their grammatical mistakes you get annoyed or is it their boastful nature you get annoyed? For what reasons you get annoyed/irritated by others on the internet?

Hi there Mr.Krupesh! Life is too short to get irritated or annoyed by such things. We have a choice and I know which one I make What I do find disappointing is when others listen to and take advice from those who think that they know everything but don't. Those people then have to make up for the time that they lose after following that misleading advice

All is well thank you and I hope all is well with you too! When I have an example of the blind leading the blind I will let you know Thank you for not thinking that I waste your time. Sometimes I lead you up the garden path and back again I guess but a nice walk is stimulating

i guess it all depends in my mood. there are times that i just laugh at them, there are times that i just ignore and there are times that i get really pissed. so i guess it all depends in my mood. we all make mistakes and some people are boastful when people makes mistakes and some are boastful when you give some suggestions. so if i will look at every little points like that then being online can be stressful already and not fun. so more or less i just ignore.

The good thing about irritating people on the Internet is that it is easier to get away from them than it is in the ‘real’ world! I don’t get irritated by spelling or grammatical errors because I’m sure I make plenty myself and not everyone is perfect. Boastful nature and arrogance are extremely annoying behaviours both on and off line! Arrogant individuals are the ones I avoid as much as I can! I don’t care very much for the ‘know all’ type either, you know the ones who think that they are the only ones who the answers for everything...Grrr...

There is an old saying, 'Fool me once, shame on you; Fool me twice, shame on me'. For this discussion, this little truism can be adapted to, 'Annoy me once, shame on you; Annoy me twice, shame on me'. Your timing for this discussion is perfect. Just last night I was in a chat room where some one was monopolizing the conversation and just being truly an idiot, ruining the fun for everyone there. I stuck it out for a while until it suddenly occurred to me that my irritation was no longer the fault of that annoying person. It was my fault. Only I have the power to hit my ESC key, or to close the window. But there I sat, gathering steam with no release in sight. I guess I was hoping for that inspiration of coming up with something to say that wasn't rude, yet made that person shut up and sit down...or at least stop talking for a while. In person it's not always easy to walk away from these types of situations, and it's only slightly easier to just hang up if you are on the telephone. Online, it's the simplest thing to remove yourself, but we rarely think of it until we've worked up a good lather.

Herro catdlal What a creative perspective and so true. We are the only one's that have the power to respond or leave the conversation. It is very difficult to find a response in a chat room for someone who is rude or monopolizing. Even here in mylot, we have the choice to respond or ignore a discussion.

hi krupesh, the only people who annoyed me on the internet are those rude people and those who are boastful and inconsistent. well what i mean is some are just trying to impress others and so they are always saying good things and they are saying that they are like this or that but in reality they are not. i get irritated with pretentious people. but of course its not worth it to waste my time with such kind and so the best thing to do is to avoid them.

that i don't know. hehe but all i know is that their real colors will always be revealed and they are also the one revealing themselves without them being aware. yes its true they are just making fun out of themselves. and such pretensions makes them inconsistent in what they are saying.

Hello, krupesh! Among the three reasons you listed, I only care the third a little. I hate the person who thinks everyone is foolish except himself. The guys who annoy me most are the ones want to put their mind into others' brain, to say another way, the ones want to force others to accept their point. Happy Lotting and never meet guys above!

Once upon a time I stumbled across them all the time, I think one of the worst sites to notice them was myspace and if you've ever used their chat room or forum you will know exactly what I'm talking about. I think the problem is most of them wouldn't dare say some of the things they do in the real life but if you stick a keyboard in front of they think it's perfectly fine. There's some on mylot, I tend to ignore them as I don't like being funny or anything but I know of two that I would welcome being removed permanently as they're just so darn annoying.

Yes it made me annoyed too with the spelling and obvious grammatical mistakes. Like when you read the sentence it didn’t really match and the sound is funny. But even though it sounds ridiculous, I am still proud for these people expressing themselves in English. Whenever I am reading that kind I think and I feel there is always a room from improvement for them. They are trying their hard to give their thoughts. Actually I was like them before and even now . But little by little I learned and mylot helped me with that. The other sources of my irritation about people on the internet are those trolls that

i could really care less about someone's grammar..as long as i can understand them,it's fine. the ones that irritate me are the armchair know-it-alls on fan based sites.they will tell you happily how something "was" even tho you saw it personally, and they didn't. that and the people who whine because you don't use IM.

Good morning, krupesh...like hiccup, grammar and spelling are NOT annoying to me as it adds another flavour to our discussions here! Self appointed authorities, and single=minded focuses are what I find more annoying, and tend to ignore those discussions, as I prefer mainly the peace of non-confrontation, and a variety of input. Take care and have a great weekend. Cheers!

i don't think i should be annoyed with grammar or even spelling problem. the very first reason is that, i am not also a perfect person, especially in english language. so don't get annoyed or irritated of my grammar and spelling, i am not perfect.

The reasons that I get annoyed with people online are the same reasons that I get annoyed with people in real life. The reason for this is that I can't stand a person that is a braggart. I noticed that a lot of the people that I was associating with in real life fit this particular characteristic and that is the reason that I've been drawing away from that group of people. Online, it is a lot easier to step away from people that I think brag too much.

ok, i'm on the internet. i saw this discussion earlier. i thought that i already left a response. i came back and apparently i didn't leave a response.. so i'm on the internet and i'm annoyed with myself. does that count?

When people put up a post and reply in a reasonable manner only if the people answering their post agree with their side, it is not only rude, but a total waste of site time and mine. Do not care for people who disagree with another's position calling that person names, or degrading the replying posts in any way. Much prefer people who can hold a decent conversation on serious subjects.

When a person seems to brag about EVERYTHING, acting as if they're better than everyone else, it seems almost as though they're trying to show off because honestly they feel insecure about themselves so they have to draw attention to them to feel better. That irritates me to no end! Everytime they post I kinda sit there thinking before I start reading and ONLY see their name "Oh God, WHAT now?! *GIGGLE* *EYE ROLL*".

I do not get annoyed due to person's lack of knowledge or grammatical mistakes; but boastful nature does annoy me, though I may not display my displeasure. Once I was badly annoyed with a person because he was downright abusive. He laced every comment with abuses; that I had to report to the management; and finally they blocked him.

I get annoyed by those boastful and arrogant people, example in the forum, I was reading questions and there goes this arrogant user who instead answering the question, they use foul words like goofy, moron and something like that for asking those question that they posted.

I have to agree with the person who commented a while ago, grammatical error should be a reason for us to be annoyed at least that much . But we have all the reason to be annoyed with those people whom think they know everything. Thats the particular attitude that i have the most with other people.. they think they know everything already it irritates me alot too. Hehe thats why most of the times i just tend to ignore them to avoid more conflicts . Have a great day

I get really annoyed at people who just ask the same question again and again when the answer of to their question was already posted by the author of the post. Can't these people see what has already been written? Can't these people read what has already been written? Can't these people understand what has already been written? About spelling mistakes, it's okay as we should understand that many of the internet users aren't that good in english and English isn't even their mother tongue, so there would be defects in their english. But the annoying part is that when people use short forms/sms english which only they understand in the discussion? If they are really interested in a discussion wouldn't they have to make sure that those who are reading their posts should also understand whet they are trying to say? If not, what's the point in posting at all? Another annoying thing for me, is when people post their messages in CAPS! I just feel always posting in caps to be rude(unless ofcourse if its necessary). We don't like people shouting at us, do we?
