If you had your own country, and could decide the type of government it would have, then what would you choose? Capitalism, socialism, fascism, or communism, and why? I would choose socialism, but I would change things up a bit, to make it fair. How about you? What would you do?

In general, I'd prefer constitutional monarchy, with the respected and wise king. but choosing from those 4 options, I choose socialism. We all see this rather successful example of Chinese socialism, and bad example of the USSR. I think people in the socialistic country have to share not only the individual aims, but also the aims of the whole society. Social responsibility is vital for viable socialism. Unfortunately, no western country can achieve this goal just due to overall mentality of western people.

I'm with you there, personally I would prefer a monarchy myself, but it would be hard to find someone to run a country fairly and justly. People are power hungry. So with that in mind I would choose socialism. And you're probably right about western people (guessing you're talking about Americans).

Not only Americans. Indeed Europeans in my opinion are just of the same "western" mentality. We are just used to be individuals, not a society.

it's a hard question. let see. capitalism i represent it with US, socialism is RPC and USSR. fascism, i dont think there is a country using this anymore, except the third world countries. communism with Cuba. Huff, i think i will choose socialism, because i believe that ideology could reduce the numbers of poverty. poverty down, famine down, crime down. i hope wars down too

yep yep. that's how I feel. Capitalism gives all the money to the rich, communism gives all the people's money to the government, but socialism equally distributes between everyone fairly.

actually the society that you had mentioned have the strongest and the weakest things. but nothing is perfect. i would rather to live in socialism too just like you. socialism makes people like having one bound. they have care to other's problem.

I would make up my own... but it may be the most similar to socialism. I would have a smaller population so that people can keep communication of ever individual alive.

i'd like to choose socialism.and i want to say that socialism doesn't go unfair, the destination of this system is trying to make everyone in its shelter would enjoy the resource evenly.but in the way to approach the destination there are too many troubles to be solved, and it could not be so rapid to reach the final goal....
