You can think of something that would not be a great gift or bring up a gift that someone gave you that was not so great. But what is the lamest gift you have recieved or that you can think of would be the lamest?

I think no gift is lamest. It is the thought that matters the most. Gift is of little or no significance.

I do agree but then I would not mind receiving even a single flower but a toothbrush as one of the members said or a alarm clock everytime.

The lamest gift that ever received was a hair clip from my ex-boyfriend. He hadn't bought it, he had found it in the street! It was not exactly clean I honestly didn't believe my eyes when he gave it to me, it was no joke, he thought it would make me happy. He has given me other strange gifts, but this one is probably the lamest.

Well, do I have to be really honest? If so, I do not like receiving figurines, big or small. I still feel guilty putting away old figurines that were given to me in the past and I do not need more. Last christmas, I received a light blue umbrella with Doraemon printed all over it. I love Doraemon, I think he is cute but I am 31 years old. I gave it to the youngest member of our household (my cousin who is 19 years old). She accepted it but I never saw her use it. My then boyfriend, now husband, also gave me a paper fan with Tweety Bird's head on its base. I thought that was really weird.

I hate it when people re-gift stuff. So I would say something re-gifted. I understand that sometimes people do it for financial reasons and stuff, but then they should at least go through the trouble to make it look a bit less re-gifted if you ask me! (I never re-gift stuff myself, but have recieved some re-gifted stuff in the past...)

I don't remember ever receiving any lame gifts but I guess a lame gift would be something that's already being sent by almost everyone. Also, if the person you're sending the gift to is someone real close to you then you should think of a gift that would be really worth it. It doesn't have to be expensive, it should just be well thought of.

I will have to say that My mother received a really bad gift one year. We were doing secret santa's in the family because the family is quit large. One year a My uncles sister who i am not related to in any way was in the hat and she picked my mom not understanding why she as in it when she isn't family but ok. The point is, is that she picked my mom's name and asked me some stores my mom likes so i told her Crate and Barrel and she would like some new mixing bowls or some nice bowls. Well she didn't buy bowls at all but gave my mom dish towels and oven mints with a jar of mints in them. Sorry but i think that is pretty bad when the limit we are supossed to use every year on ONE person is 50 dollars. Now my mom didn't think that was right because she knew she had spent her 50 dollars on the person she pulled but didn't get a gift in return that was 50 dollars, so now we don't do secret santa at all and just buy for the people we want to buy for now.

The lamest gift I ever received was from a cousin of mine who usually gives me really great gifts, but one year she gave me a gia pet, where it is like a plant that grows, I hate plants and hated the gift.
