Creating your own games. Have you tried it?

I like hidden object games and I have played many different ones. Some of them have definitely been better than others, and I sometimes think that it could be fun to create my own hidden object games. I am not sure how to do it, but it could be interesting to learn it. Have you ever created your own games? Or have you thought about it? If you were going to create your own game, what kind of game would you create?

Creating games demands time, patience and skill. You have to organizate your works/plan before proceding to differents step like Modeling, coding etc .. Finaly, it's my dream too to create a game, and why not in the futur ;)

Yes, I can imagine that it takes a lot of patience to create a game and of course you also need to have the right skills. Like you I would like to create a game, but I don't think that I have the skills that I need, so I have to learn more about those things before I will be able to create my own games. I am especially interested in creating hidden object games. I like to play them and I think that is could be interesting to create them as well.

I've tried making a game before. It was an RPG, or role-playing game, that I used some special software for. It's difficult and time-consuming, but very rewarding. I still work on it from time to time, but have no idea when it will be even close to being done. Still, it's a fun hobby. I don't really know of any way to make a hidden object game, though.

I have never played any role-playing games, but I think that it could be fun to try it one day. It was interesting to read about your experience and the game that you are working on. It would be challenge to learn something like that, but it sounds interesting.

I'm a big hidden object player, myself. I've never thought about creating a game, though, because that's more for someone who knows how to program rather than playing with it. I prefer to just play and not think about what kind of programming is required for the game to work. heeheeheeeee....(furby laugh)

I don't know much about programming either but when I play that kind of games I notice the things about the games that I like and the things I don't like, and I think it could be fun to use my ideas and to create my own game. Maybe I will try to learn it one day. Right now I stick to the games that other people have created.

not really, there are so many things to consider.. way to much work, which i would do if it was a hobby of mine. but one of my hobbies is actually playing them, not making them. still, i have great respect for those who create games, they never stop amazing me!
