In order to make my discussion of thanks also a real discussion how many of you have met one of your fellow mylotters? I just met Lori of DumbDizzyBlonde and she was so sweet . We had a long talk and she told me how all of you sent hugs to me.I was in tears completely overwhelmed as I love all you guys so much.She brought me a lovely huge bouquet and she hugged me several times.She is one of the nicest people, but then I knew that from all her discussions and her responses t o my discussions. She had a list of all your names and I wish I could use 67 emoticons to give you all hugs, but heres all my hugs to my wonderful mylot friends.Bless you all. Love ya!!

The only people I met were from Myspace, (Now facebook), I have yet meet anyone here. The closest I know of was...I can't remember her name now and she isn't around anymore so I don't see her anymore online. She only lived like 45-50 miles away in the city where sometimes we go because our family is still there..But we never had the thought of meeting up..I know other people from mylot have done this and there are some that I'd love to meet in person, but they live too far away. Unless they go through my town I won't be seeing them since I barely get out as it is..

I think it would be a good feeling to meet the people of myLot in person. I wonder how may people from Trivandrum of Kerala of India are in myLot.
I think now a days the cost of living is also increasing. I wish Lori is able to have good better life in Georgia (even though I have not met in personal).
I hope the cost of living comes down in California.

hi ajithlal oh the cost of living here seems stuck my son is working full time but had to take a ten dollar cut in wages to get the job he has but hes happy as he was out of work for
so long, our hopes of his being able to rent a 2 bedroom apt again for us are gone as they are 1300 to 1600 now still,. so I stay here and he has one bedroom apt on section 8 so it will only cost him 30 percent of his check which is 400 dollars a month so thats really helped him.

hi carmelanirel. I too do not get out much as I have a brace on one leg so cannot walk very well.Thats the way it is with me too as Lori is here with her mom in Garden Grove, she said she and her guy are planning on
moving to Georgia as he can get work there easier and the cost of housing is much cheaper too. Here in Calif. everything is so expensive. lol.

hi jerzgirl thanks so much a nd I owe all of you more, I said 67 but it was 69 so for the two I missed the first time two more hugs too. I dont know if KashiGurl is on my list, but isn't it so much fun to meet in person wow.Yes I hope she stops by again. she is just so sweet and so much fun to talk too. wo.

Hatley!
I have seen Lori' discussion and after going through both the discussion, I can realize how happy and delighted you would have felt, when you were face to face with her. It would have been a unique experience to meet someone from mylot and we know how nice you both are. (I have not met anyone from mylot, so far, though I long to meet my friends).

hi jb you old blue bunny , thats the right word, my whole day has been and is so lovely. My roomie made me feel sad as she saw that huge bouguet Lori bro ught me and said, wheres mine? She is starting into Alzheimer disease and just three months ago she was as bright as a silver dollar and now she cannot remember how we get our mail or even to take her walker with her.I feel so sorry and try to help her, but they do not seem to be able to do much for her. I am so lucky, God has indeed blessed me with an active mind so I am very grateful too.

hilovinangelsinstead21 am so behind.well for one thing my roomie
was in the hospital for a whole monh, was back three days and was in constant pain and having a hard time breathing. she kept going downstairs to ask for pain med and finally after having put myl ight on and off for her I left it on and went to sleep as it was near midnight.'well that was a sad error on my part;she was horribly confused and she turned off my light, then got mixed up in direcion, and fell waking me up I managed to catch my lamp and turn it on. she had fallen and hit her head on my bedside stand. before I could getup and help her she was out the door and downstairs,one of the care givers walked her back up here. Her eye was almost swollen shut . so later sunday morning her nurse c ame took one look, asked mw what had happened and called the paramedics for her, and now she is in the hospital again.I hope that they really take better care of her than the other hospital she was in.

So glad you had such a nice time meeting up with the other myLotter. I would love to meet you too but alas we are separated by such a distance. Never mind we can still communicate on here. Sorry about your Friend it is a blessing to have an active mind and you just keep on going.

I think those of us that are chubby worry so much even too much about what others will think of us as many people see the chubby person before them and not the person inside of that chubbyness. I know I feel the same way when I meet others, even when I met Sparks. BUt she put me at ease from the first moment. She just was not the person that would allow any thoughts to come into her head more than the person in front of her being anyone other than who I was inside. I should have known from all of the conversations we had had with each other. As you say, we should have known but it's our own thoughts that wonder how people will see us. We worry too much about this.
I think we should try to not think the way we do of how others will see us. Just be the way we are and go from there.

himoondancer thats so true, and my tablemate said to me, dont worry how knows she may be chubby too, so just think about who she is to you inside. I really warmed to her the moment we met. and usely I dread to see myself in a photo but this one was great, we were both smiling and happy and we just looked great.oh I wou ld love to meet Sparky and I could imagine shes a great person too. I have just beenthinking how many wonderful p eople I have met here and wou ld love to see in person. lol.

hi moondancer to think I was afraid she wou ld be disappointed as I am chubby but it was not like that at all, we really felt at ease atonce as she is just a really sweet neat lady, as I know she would be from all our discusssions and responses. I would have loved to meet you too today Moondancer. It was a really wonderful treat and I just dont get many except from my friend Nelda and my son. so I am so thankful to you all for all the warmth and love.

Oh Hatley, How wonderful for you both, shame I am in the UK and not your part of the USA cos I would love to meet you both. I have been blessed in meeting up with 4 fellow mylotters so far, one is a very fishy man lol, one has dark wings, one was a small owl and another had a fiery heart, all wonderful people and exactly as I expected them to be in real life as on Lot life. hi dawn hugs back if you get down here ag ain, stop by as I
am always here. I got a chuckle yesterday. from facebook,
a Robbie Hatley requested to be my friend. woo hoo, my own son
asking to be my friend. lol. he emailed me yesterday he has to'give
up his cat as the management said get rid of friend cat or move
out. I felt sorry for him, he would die to admit he loved that cat, but he really did. so he took it to the Irvine cat shelter where they said they'would get his cat a good home. Mr Who just sort of adopted my
'son and Robbie got so attached to him, a shame.

oh my son felt so bad as he and Mr.Cat thats what he called
him reallybonded. MrCat was black and grey striped so pretty
and he was a large tom too.really good looking cat, someb ody
had decided to dump him I guess but Robbie said he was well
kept so do not know his hisory.I made a typo up above as it was Mr.cat no Mr. Who. lol.

Well that totally sucks, but at least he took it to a shelter that would find it a home. Sad, but some apartments just don't want cats, or charge a HUGE deposit.

I am happy that you are able to meet mylotters. Sometimes I also wonder how it would feel to meet on the mylotters in person. I have not able to meet anyone of them. I got some of my friends referred to myLot, but none of them are active now. I am from trivandrum a state in Kerala in the country India. I have seen lots of Indians in the myLot. I sometimes wonder if I am able to meet one of them and hope to meet one of them in the future.

hi ajithlal yes I have a lot of indian friends on mylot friends list too; I am in the US but Lori was here in my town visiting her mom so we had ow really long visits and she is so nice I felt as if I had known her all my life. you indians should seed if there was someway you could get fellow mylotters to come to a central place and have a mylot reunion. i bet some would come.take care and God bless.

That is so awesome! I saw her discussion saying that she was going to meet someone. I really have to admit that I did not read the whole thing as I was heading out to work. I was curious as to who on here it was she was hooking up with. Curiousity killed the cat...satisfaction brought it back. Sounds like you guys both had a great time! Stories like this are always cool to hear. It's a reminder that the people we meet here and the friendships we share are real. Thanks for the smiles, Hatley!

I have never met anyone from here or any of the other sites I'm on. I think it would be great to get to get a chance to meet the other person you talk to. We all need friends. I know I do. I don't have any but this one guy in my life and that is it. I think the reason it is hard for me to make friends is due to my hearing disability. Some of the people I tried to be friends with in the past few years have lied to me, or used me to get want she wanted. I do have a lot of women in my church that love me and love talking to me but we don't hang out due to they work and have families. This one lady joined the church three years ago as she became the care giver to an elderly lady in my church who past away a year ago. This lady had no friends and lives in a small shed she turned into a home. We talked a lot and I kindly wanted to be her friend as I saw she was lonely. We became friends. Four months later she got rude with me, wanted to do what ever I did in the church. And... She started to push me away from the ladies. I'm in a woman's group at the church. When ever they needed a volunteer, I would say yes and then the other lady would jump up and say, "Me too! Me too!" Then she'd look at me and snicker. When it came time to do what we volunteered to do, she would push me out of the way to try and do it all herself as a way to make herself look better. I think it was just an attention getter.
I hear a lot of good things about Hatley and think we all need a friend like her. I don't know you, but I do love giving out hugs. A hug to Hatley.

I once worked with a lady'like that in t he library and she would take credit for work she did not do, but one day she really pushed it too far, and for the first time in all the years I had been there, she got fired.
