Apparently Wii is going to do a Doctor Who game and is producing a Wii remote in the shape of the sonic screwdriver!!
So far they have only announced a European availablity, but this might actually get me to BUY a Wii!!!

I don't blame you!!! I wonder if it has that swift little warble the "real" one has? I also wonder what they cost. Show this to Viv. I'll bet she can afford one for your birthday or Christmas! Hee!

@sharonelton cool, I am a Whovian. I got to meet Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker and Colin Baker. My wife got to meet Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee, Peter Davison and Colin Baker. We both met Colin when he was the current Doctor. We also met several companions. I am exactly 10 years older than the show - my 60th birthday party was epic!

I am in the UK and haven't heard of this but we have a wii and I dare say my kids will let me know before too long haha. They play the online game on the official website but it wouldn't be the same as holding a sonic screwdriver eh? Well they can ask nanny for it for Christmas haha

I would be all over this if it were released in America. Considering the facts that I saw a commercial for Doctor Who toys for the first time ever during an episode on BBC America and that for the first time it is being shot here in America and it is becoming more popular here now... this may all help get it released over here as well. It may not but I hope it does.

I need to pick up some of those too. I'd run the batteries down constantly. LOL. Do they make lightsaber flashlights too? I need a couple of those as well! But can you imagine a DW game? Oooh yeah. In a perfect world, I'd have my lightsaber Wii remote in one hand and my sonic screwdriver in the other. Woo hoo!

Some of these new gadgets are occasionally attractive to me. I know it is hard to wait for them to be released to our areas. I bet you will be finding your Doctor Who Wii in stores before Christmas, though.
