First, I click on translationg, then a pull down for choices of languages from Affrikaner to Yiddish comes down. I click on that. That's it! 2 clicks and the entire page I'm on is translated. I had a Mylot page up. I checked French and Haitian Creole. Man, no wonder I don't understand Haitians when they speak. Many differences! My husband thought it was neat that they had Korean since he spent 2 years in Korea in the military. Russian would have been handy in college and German. I was always researching parapsychology and medical uses of plants. Para has tons of articles in Russian. Germans have done a lot of research in medicinal uses of plants far beyong what most American research. Then when I started Shotokan Karate, Japanese would have been nice to be able to translate. Now I do T'ai Chi which is Chinese and that would be neat. One talks about the power within as Ki and the other as Chi. Officially, I was learning Elementary Education and Reading in college. Unofficially, plants and parapsychology as well as the power within, the internal energy, force, power. All of which has way more interesting articles in other languages. Imagine trying to study things you're interested in and always having reference articles in other languages that you would like to read, but can't. Getting stuck in your research, first because you don't know Russian, then because you don't know German, then because you don't know Japanese, then because you don't know Chinese. It's enough to make you pull your hair out! I wonder how good this translation program really is. Now I can go back to cruising the internet for the medicinal plant research, parapyschology and the power within. I wonder if the reading program for people with disabilities in this computer can read other languages or if it only reads in English. Can you imagine taking one page of print, translating it into many different languages and then if you could hear it, too? I think it only reads English phonetics, though. So do you have official and unofficial fields of study? (like a vocation and an avocation?) Have you done research on a variety of things? Have you been able to go as far as you want with your research? Has language been a barrier? Do you have a translation program? Do you have to pay for it? How good is it? Are you able to do more without stopping than you were before? Do you still get stuck? Was there a computer or internet innovation that got you all excited? Were you able to do things you weren't able to do before? You're not stopped, but can go on?

You have way too much energy for this hour of the night. I cannot even begin to keep up. You are obviously very excited about this program. At various times in my life I have been really into plants, I think, moreso than anything else. Arts and crafts comes to mind as well. I do not have a translation program. Nothing has really excited me lately about computers, but we will see when I get my new one. I can see where it is handy for a lot that you are doing to have that translation option. Right now I mainly want to be able to earn well online. I do not need a translation so much as I need organization. It is neat that you are starting a lot of discussions. I missed you when your access was limited.

I missed you, too. I'm a serious Geeky person. While in college learning one set of stuff, I was learning another set of stuff.I'd finish my regular studies and start my other studies. Finish a paper and take notes on my interests. I'd finish my education journals and read Many Smokes magazine with all kinds of Native American stuff. Arts and crafts online is another entire thing to get excited about. Youtube and Etsy have lots of videos to teach so many arts and crafts. My life in that direction has really, really taken off. I missed that, my Mom and I used to do arts and crafts together, but she's gone. My brother's girlfriend is doing oil painting now and I'm just not in that space. Painting is too exacting for me. The time, almost 11 PM. I get really tired, then I go to bed, can't sleep, get up and do this. It's like I get a 2nd burst of energy when I lay down. Strange, but true. Yeah, you're right, I am too excited for this time of night. My hormones are all messed up. Yeah, I can't believe all the discussions I'm coming up with. I really, really missed Mylot. It's hard when I'm not on here. I have my religious friends that are like me religious wise and when I get money for gas again, I'll have my T'ai chi friends and I hope I have money for Middle Eastern Dance again, but my love of plants and other stuff. Mostly people online. I don't have the gatherers in my area. I can't bounce ideas off people like I can on Mylot. I can't make the connections like I do here. There are some things I don't want my neighbors or friends or relatives knowing. In some ways, for some things I'm closer to people on Mylot than I am to people in my area. Strange, but true.

Yes, when you get a new computer, I have a feeling something on it will please you, surprise you, or be just what you needed. Take care.

Now many computers come with new translation features. I think it is good for that person who doesn’t understands other languages well. So it is a good feature for them for understanding many languages. I think it will also help you. But my computer is not having this facility because my computer is very old. So when I bought it then this features was not available.

If my husband hadn't bought this computer, I wouldn't have these features either. The last computer we had, I bought was back in 2005 and it had the bare business capabilities. This is new to me and fun. I think it will help me, too. I have a feeling you know other languages besides English. I was only taught French. Thanks for stopping by.

I think some of our members needs a computer like yours. This sounds like fun. It would be cool to see what other languages sound like. I could do some heavy research myself. I love research. What will they think of next, huh? Was it terribly expensive. I probably would have to get the program and, knowing my luck, it is very expensive.
