Ooopppss!!! .... Actually, the Top Model WAS........ !!!!

I dont really watch the Top Model Shows other than the original one which Tyra Banks hosts.. but i think this Down Under Version is already into their no.what season, and i would think that the host - should be well-trained by now.. Unfortunately.. mistakes do happen.., and the worst mistake couldnt have happened at any worst moment.. The host of the Live Finale announced the Wrong Winner... (pls go to link):- http://tv.yahoo.com/blog/blunder-down-under-australias-next-top-model-host-announces-wrong-winner-on-live-finale--1595 The show producers decided that both girls will get to go to NewYork to meet with Elite Model Management and also offered the runner-up (Kelsey) a $25,000 consolation prize. I think that's pretty fair - and a very smart move by the producers - although if it was me, i would seriously think of deducting the amount from the Host's paycheck . What do you think?.. Did the producers do enough.. or do you think they should offer more to the poor Runner-up..

I think its a fair ending. I miss that show, the Tyra Banks US shows were very entertaining. I was disappointed when she said she was done...but I imagine it gets boring after a while...

Tyra Banks show helped and developed many new models over the years. Not only that, her show inspired other similar programs and show that opened up even more opportunities to many, many model wannabees all over the world. I think she has done enough and can be happy to quit.

@PainsOnSlate we get delayed broadcast of the shows here in our country,... and I didn't really follow all of the shows - but I do remember him... Glad that he won !!... and he won Dancing with the stars, as well?? Woww wiiee... Good for him!

@4mymak The last winner was deaf and went on to win Dancing with the stars. I was really impressed by him.

I don't watch the shows either, but it made headline news here this morning. You just have to feel for the poor girl who was told she won and then ooops, no she didn't. I think it is utterly appaling that the host, who is probably getting paid well, cannot manage to take orders down an ear piece. It is noce to see that the agency offered the runner up a proze, but this was her dream and I don't think any amount of money could fix her dashed dreams. I wouldn't make the host pay the fee either, I would be looking for a new host. I'm still not sure if this is a pre arranged publicity stunt, because the show now has world coverage, and it's not exactly detremantal to the viewrs, I mean in the sense that the show has upset their viewers so they will be tuning in to the next series, what do you think? Could it have been a pre arrange publicity stunt?

I saw this covered on a morning news show. The runner up is being very gracious. She says she is getting what she wanted, though, a start in her career. There is a ton of discussion thought about this being a set up for the publicity.

I don't watch the show; however, think the result is fair. Both get a great prize going to New York meeting Elite Model Management, which could mean a great job. I think they are lucky to get this help getting into the business.

Wow, that is a pretty big mistake and very sad for the one girl - glad they are still treating her as a winner!
