Are you afraid of any insect?

Hi, I am not afraid of spiders, but I hate the very sight of this hairy, creepy figure. Eight legs, oh my Gosh! And did you see how they pounce on the pray? Simply ruthless. They excess of eyes in their head also freaks me out. They give them a very sinister look. I read that most of them are venomous, though they hardly bite as they are afraid most of the time themselves. Do you have an aversion to any such insect?

I have to agree with that spiders are horrific and so are many others. For instant that bug with the 100 feet creeps me out more. Oh heck they all do and right now I am feeling itchy just thinking of them all. Thank you for the feeling...

Itchy indeed. You are talking about centipedes. Wow! They are ferocious beasts. They do bite, so stay away from them. Like any other hairy people spiders smell like hell. I think they carry uranium all over their body. I just hate the way they look at me with those eyes. And they just pass into every dark corner of the room. I hate paparazzi with hidden cameras.

A spider is actually not an insect, but is a bug, an arachnid. Insects are also bugs. I do not really like any of them, but I am not scared of them. A better term is repulsed. They seem really creepy to me.

Whatever it is, it totally freaks me out. I have a friend who is very hairy. He also smells like hell. To make things worse he is nearly 7 feet tall. When I talk to him, I look away. Can you imagine a spider, more than 6 feet tall, hairy and always emitting foul smell? He reminds me of something like that. I just hate the way a spider looks at me with so many eyes. They are voyeurs.

OOOh,I can imagine. You say he is a friend? You cannot look at him and he smells bad and he is a friend. It sounds like he would really be a good friend to have on your side in a hard time.

Yes, I HATE COCKROACHES!!! I say this because I have Asthma and they are Asthmatics mortal enemy. If an Asthmatic sees a cockroach, their initial instinct is to kill it! Cockroaches a hazard to an Asthmatics health. Remember, if you see a cockroach, don't let that sucker live!

I guess it's you who put the tag 'kill the cockroaches' then? I didn't know the connection between asthma and cockroach though. I'll make some research on it. But I'm afraid it will only increase my repulsion manifold. I already hate those insects and I am on my way to invent a weapon of mass destruction for them. Why America doesn't carry out some drone attacks to totally wipe them out from the face of this earth?

People are very tedious to me is people who talk a lot, feel the most right, can not take a joke, and always ridiculing people. I really like the people who did not talk much, appreciate others, and no-nonsense.

I am scared of too many to list here. I think I have list the other way, I mean the insects I am not afraid of. :) Earthworms, cockroaches, spiders, butterflies, flies, mosquitoes, ... ha ha. Gimme a break will you, these can be killed so easily! You might not like them, but being afraid of them... Now if it is nice thick black and red centipede, or scorpion, or even lizard, I would understand kiddo. :)

Can't argue with you if you are talking like a seven years old! Do you need AK 47 to kill them? I will try to get one for you.

Are you taking me for a child? Why would I use AK47 to kill them, when I can just arrange some drone attacks?

Don't you underestimate spiders ma. They even catch birds. Don't you think they've been given unnecessary power? They can stare at you with multitude of eyes, they can climb walls and stare at you from there, they spin webs to entangle other insects. Now tell me if these are gentleman-like gestures at all. Spiders can be very big Ma. Didn't you watch the Hollywood movie where a spider grows to the size of a huge multiplex and then attacks the city?

I get shivers of cockroaches and lizards, yikessssssss they look the most horrible and dirty, I can't even stand them when they come near, I like start jumping in the air or do something to get them off me :d. Once a lizard fell in my pocket while in school :d. I panicked and shouted taking of the lizard of my pocket and throwing it somewhere, The whole class ran hether and thether :D, after they saw the lizard :D. Yeah I hate spiders to but that depends which kind of spider it is :D. The most common insects here are lizards and cockroaches :). They are found almost in every 3rd house :d.

I really hate spiders. The spider is very disgusting to me. I really hate it, if my house is a spider's web. So I am not afraid of spiders, just disgusting to me.
• India

The bad thing about having webs inside the house is that, you can't burn them right away. That would be same as burning your entire house. So it's better to demolish the house first then burn them and then reconstruct the house. This would be an easier solution.

Some insects are easier to take than others. I don't mind spiders if they keep their distance from me. My terror is the flying insects. Wasps and bees are what makes my heart pound first.

They say something about 'Stirring up a hornets' nest'. When you stir up something like that only bad things happen. Bees and wasps do really have attitudes. We don't poke needles if someone doesn't move according to our will, do we? But they surely do.

I'll tell you what really creeps me out. Mosquitoes are something that I hate. They tend to swoop in and bite you. Plus there is always that potential that they carry that dreaded West Nile Virus that some of these insects. Spraying for them becomes a constant battle. I hate going outside after a certain time when I know for sure when they come out. There are also some insects where I have no idea what they are, but they are a bit creepy to say the least. They are those little bugs with pinchers that are a bit unnerving. Have no idea what they are but they tend to be found in the bathtub every time and time again. However, I take care of them and they take a trip to toilet town if you catch my drift. Still they are a bit creepy, quite creepy to say the least.

I hate to see cockroach. Even if i am sleeping, i easily sense there is a cockroach near me.
• India

Oh yes. They have a thing called antennae they use to detect scraps of foods. They move these things in a very disgusting way. But you have a very good understanding of cockroaches, I can see. It is good as they are very disgusting creatures.

I can very much relate to this, however it's not the same one. I'm very much afraid of cockroaches, I would really freak out every time I see them near me or anywhere. I don't know what started it, but one thing I'm sure of is that I can't stand their presence especially when they fly everywhere.

A flying cockroach? You can bomb down a plane with an anti-aircraft missile. But those radars will hardly detect a flying cockroach. They are totally unpredictable when they fly. They are worse than a fighter plane. You can't just bomb down a flying cockroach in a minute. You need to be a really good soldier to bring them down. Weapons like books, slippers, sweepers etc are highly effective in bringing down a flying cockroach.

Is there anything more disgusting and more terrifying than a cockroach?! Eeeeeew! Especially the flying ones. :( These creatures can reduce me into a screaming, hysterical mess! To my fiance's amusement.
• India
7 Oct 10
My recommendation is, don't let the cockroach and your fiancé live in the same room. Cockroaches are just disgusting, but your fiancé isn't. But in time you may get confused as whom to love and whom to hate. You better use your slipper and kill those cockroaches right away.

I think that spiders are a fascinating creature yet i am terrified of them the way the move with their long legs and their fast pace. They just freak me out
• India

In a way they are fascinating. They don't have to wax their body even if their entire body is covered with hairs. They probably have greater density of hair per square meter of their body that the apes do.

Not a fan of bugs at all although I do make an exception for lady bugs and butterflies which are included in the bug kingdom. I end up killing them.

I hate mosquito. Mosquito is the deadliest insect in the world. We are afraid of lions, tigers, snake, and other fearsome creatures who could kill humans but it's just only this smaller ones whose fun of sipping human blood. Who could have thought that as small as that could kill more than one million people around the world.

I am scared of all insects they all creep me out because if they crawl than that's just creepy the way they are. I just see one and I am done for I just want to run away and get away as fast as possible. Also bugs are very creepy and I don't like them either because bugs and insects to me they are the same. I don't think that I will ever get over my fear of bugs or insects. I guess after having so many horrible experiences with insects and bugs it has tramatized me a bit that I just don't want them to go near me.

I guess for me it's the cockroaches, the flying ones. But I'm not really afraid of them, I just feel disgusted thinking they crawl in sewers and other disgusting places. They're so disgusting that I don't want even its antennae to touch me, that's why when I see an airborne cockroach, I get a little hysterical and runs for cover, or grab something to swat it. I don't want to feel those thorny legs of them in my skin ever again. I remembered one time while laying in bed with the lights off, a cockroach passed on my forehead. I was shocked and was speechless for a few seconds. I turned on the lights but the cockroach was nowhere to be found.

Generally, I'm not afraid of any insect, but if its poisonous then I wouldn't want to go near it. But if it is the one going near me then it should prepare to meet its doom because I'll definitely swat it using any means necessary. What I'm afraid of are snakes, criminals, and terrorists.
