Do you buy on Cyber (internet) Monday?

The day after Thanksgiving is called black Friday in the United States. So many people go shopping and there are many different sales going on. But then I read about the following Monday being the biggest day for shopping on the internet. I might check out the internet buys on that day. Had you ever heard about that Monday before? Have you ever shopped on that day? Do you wait to shop on that day? Will you give it a try? Even if you don't think you will, what places would be interesting to check out on that day? I know about ebay and etsy, but what about some others?

Thank you for reminding me, I have heard of this but the first time I didn't have the cash and then of course last year I didn't have a computer. Now I am going to transfer money in time to take advantage of this, because both my husband and I hate going shopping in a large crowd where people fight over items..It's too crazy..lol

If you are a member of MyPoints, go through their shopping portal and earn points there while you shop.

I am a member of ebay and big crumbs, I prefer ebay because these other sites don't have what I am looking for most of the time..

Yes, ebay has a lot of things that we look for. I did belong to mypoints, but it took forever for me to get even a dollar, so I quit.

Here's another plug for Amazon.com They have just about everything and if you can catch a sale, coupon or discount, that's the perfect place for me to shop. I do some rewards programs (MyPoints included) and get as many Amazon gift certificates as I can over the year, so I do a lot of Christmas shopping there. Cyber Monday is a really good day to check there, but sometimes the server is slow because of so many other people shopping, too!

I'll probably surf the net really early or really late that day. I seldom think of Amazon and I don't know why. They're a great place to shop. Thanks and take care.

At this time I do not have any plans to shop that day. It is more likely I would do that than shop in a brick and mortar store on Black Friday. Last year, we went to antique stores and thrift shops on Black Friday, no crowds, and I found a book I had looked for for years. If I shop on Cyber Monday it will be at Amazon.com, or A Libris (a cool place for out of print and used books) You can shop almost any big name store in its Cyber Version from the comfort of your home. Sometimes you can get site to store deals at Wal Mart, I understand, and save shipping. I would search for any catalogs that you have shopped in the past and see if there is an online version.

Yes, I find that if I have to shop on that day, the small stores are vacant while the big mega and national stores are absolutely crazy. I like to buy local from local people. The megastores, you might as well buy online, safer on Black Friday, anyway. A Libris sounds cool. Will have to check that out. Thanks.

I always drag my family to balck friday shopping and belive it or not my daughter actually gets excited about this now. It only took her her whooe life to get into it. Now that she is 20 and married she loves this day because she gets everything she wants at a really good price. As for cyber monday, we both go on but the deals just aren't as good. They have good deals but not as good as black friday.

Well, I avoid the Black Friday sales so you can probably guess I'm also avoiding the Cyber Monday's sales...

We are trying something different this year. We are going to go in together and put some things on layaway at K-Mart this year.Great places to check out though I think would be JC Penny's who has some fun sales no days. And then ofcourse, HSN and QVC which are my favorite online and television sites. Happy Holidays!

layaway can be a good thing. I have one item on layaway. I only have to pay $5 a month, so I can do that. Take care.

Layaway can be nice. K-mart here is only a eight week program and you pay a $5 fee. We will see how it goes.

I had never even heard of cyber monday until about 2 years ago. I was a powerseller on ebay so I was sent a paper about this in the mail from ebay. I do not intend to shop online on cyber monday but you never know. I dont go out for Black friday so maybe I can check out online retail stores and see what they have. If there is some amazing sales I might be interested in buying online.
