Mylotters how do you release your stress after your whole day work of your job? When I go home from my office I lie down to my bed(instructed all people within my house not to disturb)and listening instrumental or solemn music.

Good question. I need to have a warm bath or I massage myself. Well it might sound strange but I can do it by myself. I also listen to music, not heavy stuff but anything relaxing. Then of course I sleep :D

A good massage will do good for me and I also give my hubby a good body massage because I do know both of us are stressed at our own work so we do exchange massages. After a good meal and relaxation, we will also watch a movie or play our favorite puzzle game in pc. But for me, eating fruits are always there for us to keep us both refreshed from a stressful day. We really do have a stock of fruits in the fridge so that before we do rest and sleep, we will eat it.

After a hard-working day, I often listen to instrumental music, some song of Richard Clayderman and Paul Mauriat. Do you listen to their musics, such as: Toccata, Another day in paradise,.... I sometimes go out to have coffee with my friends and talk about some funny thing to release stress. Now, i release stress by response discussion in mylot!

After long day of work I settle myself watching TV, mingle with other friends and sometimes malling. I don't want my stress over me by lying in my bed and thinking all the works I done that day. I want is to refresh myself in another environment with other people which stress can overcome... that all for me.. see you around

I work whole day and then I come here to post something on the discussions. It takes a lot of energy to do that. Then I wash my hands and feet with hot water, it gives a refreshing feeling. After that I close everything and go to sleep. I start my day with yoga practice so that I can have a good energy in me, through out the day. I think if you have a routine then you get habitual to it and you don't feel stressed.

Good morning dosomething, When I come home from work I like to smoke a joint. I like my weed and it calms me down after a hard day and you might think that is bad of me, but it is the truth and I don't hurt anyone so what would make me bad anyways. I used to take a long bubble bath after a hard day but now where I live I don't have a bathtub, only a shower, so I had to find something else to calm me and that is when I was introduced to weed and liked it. Cheers and TTYL my friend , Chris

Yes, just sitting or lying down listening to good music is helpful in relieving stress. A whole day work is really stressful and going home all the way through a traffic jam adds up more. So once I reach home, I would not want to do anything but just sit down with my feet up on a stool and watch TV while eating some fruits. Eating fruits relaxes me actually so I do that each time I arrive home at night.

It is simple. It is depended on what I went through the day. Coming home for me is distress. I love to interact on the computer, just to be at home with my family. Then I go over in my mind's eye what I could do differently. I also pray and this is like a medicine.

I like to sleep when I'm stressed. Plain and simple. Sometimes when I'm at my boyfriend's house my back will start hurting really badly and I'll get fed up with all the screaming and yelling his mom does and the whining and crying his son does. I'll go into my boyfriend's room and crawl up on the bed and fall asleep. I'll wake up a little later with his arms around me and it makes me feel so at peace. That is my favorite way of dealing with stress.

I wish i could have a lie down, a nice rest and be able to just relax and have some me time. Unfortunately i can't as once i finish work i go to pick my son up and then i am cooking and looking after him, it is rare that i get much free time. I guess if i am stressed with work then as soon as i see my son i feel a hell of a lot better, he always cheers me up and is always happy, this puts me in a really good mood. I would like to just lie down in bed and to listen to some relaxing music and to possibly have a little sleep, just not enough hours in the day.

I just lay down in a sofa or bed, listening to music or watching tv and talking or playing with my daughter, and have a talk with my husband.

Go for a short walk, watch TV, talk to people and read the Bible. Reading and understanding the Bible is the best we can do to feel good. Try it.

As a Zen practitioner I practice zazen (meditation). It's not used to get rid of stress because that would be supressing it, but more of a way of channelling it and letting it go until the mind become still and quiet. It is more a letting go of stress because one can become stressed trying to get rid of it at times. _Derek

I go to my garden, look at the flowers and the rest of the plants, water them, try to plant some more and just try tilling the ground. Working there and listening to the flow of the water in my small pond and fountain relaxes me. Nothing beats that for me!

After a long day of work, if i have a lot of extra money i would go to the mall and look at things that may took my fancy and buy it. Or if i don't have money, i would canvass for some things i have in mind to buy when i have the money. However, ordinarily, after arriving at home, i would sit at the sofa inside our bedroom and watch TV , the news first, then eat and afterwards watch my favorite program. When my husband arrives , we will watch TV together in the bedroom while we eat a fruit or just simply drinking juice. Usually, i sleep ahead of him because i still have to wake up early for work the next day. Voila! i feel refreshed when i woke up.
