When North Korea shelled a tanker from South Korea, people think it was just a mistake or internal malfunction from the tanker, so everybody just dismissed it. Now North Korea attacked the island owned by South Korea(US has some military personnel in that island)and 2 South Korean marines died. North Korea knows that attacking South Korea will bring the US in that area. So when South Korea responds with approval from US of course, China and Iran who are friends of North Korea will join in. So countries around the world will have to choose sides. Everybody will defend their allies. Israel will be with US of course, and now Iran and Palestine will have a reason to attack Israel. My theory may be far-fetched but is this a part of the plan from North Korea and his allies? What do you think?

I don't think it will start world war three since China is also an ally of south korea. I think North Korea is just trying to show force among the super powers such as China and US. China is even against the things that North Korea is doing right now so I doubt it if China will side with the North.

whatever their agenda might be the fact is North Korea is a country on life support. they have to get international aid from other countries in order to keep their country going. if their so bad economically then whats the point of North Korea even existing as a country? why not just unify with South Korea? i know that's much easier said then done though. if North Korea were to go to war then all countries would have to do is cut off international aid and their country would collapse from the inside out. to be honest if North Korea did become a free state all of a sudden then i really don't see how north koreans could adjust to that because their citizens are so brainwashed by their government. it would certainly take a long time to adjust to all the lies they have been told.

Well, I don’t think it is easy to start the War. As of some history reason, it is normal that North Korea and South Korea have the conflict in some issues. We have been through two world wars in history and it approved that it was not welcome by people. We all want peace. War can only satisfy the people with wild military ambition. I believe it is just the local conflict that it would not extend to the world range. History won’t happen in the save river. Times move as the economy and technology develop.

Um, something sounds off about this, no offense. I think there's no way that this can start World War III. North Korea is trying to look mean and powerful, but they probably can't stand a chance in case they were really attacked by another country stronger than them. Also, once Kim Jong Il is not there anymore, I think chances are high that the situation in North Korea is going to change, as people there now are just scared.

First off you are missing a huge fact China doesn't want to go to war with the US because they know we are a massive power and the only reason they are allies with North Korea is the tradition and similarities they have in beliefs. Also they are a barrier from the US forces in South Korea. They don't like it when the US is in the Area and North Korea won't risk doing something to the United States as we would quickly Declare War and they would be done in a matter of months. Iran isn't an direct ally with North Korea they are two nations that are developing Nuclear Weapons. Also we have Russia on our side. So the North Korea would have to deal with Russian and United States troops attacking them. Their nations economy couldn't handle it and neither could China's as the United States would cut all ties with them which means all those Factories would be Shut Down over night and they would no longer get food. China would Collapse over night. As for the Middle East Iran is the Crazy state that is dealing with Internal issues caused by the United States Iraq Democracy. Iran is dealing with civil unrest and other issues. They also are trying to Develop Nuclear Weapons as a Defensive measure most likely against Israels mostly United States Developed Weapons. We as in the United States sell more weapons than most other countries and have our fingers in a little bit of everything so that we have Allies of our Enemies. We have Conquered a good part of the World by using our Economic and Technological Advantages over other nations. Hence when our economy hit a rough spot both China's and Europe's Economies suffered.

North Korea often does something like this in the hope that sanctions against them will be lifted, so they can get the food, goods, and hard currency they desperate need from the west. Kim Jong il is not in the best of health, and he could also be telling the west that nothing is going to change when his son comes into power. I don't think he's trying to start world war three, but I do think he's trying to flex his muscles.

i totally disagree with this plan, really this plan wont work at all. From reading ur post i see u think iran is looking for a opportunity to attack israel which is completely wrong since they have their own problem and religion islam forbids a war without any reason even its for revenge. Palestine dont even have weapons for god sake they cant attack isreal, the only weapon most of them have is ak and rocks.

No. North Korea is not trying to start a World War III. They just want President Lee Myung Bak to respect the Sunshine Policy. Now what is this Sunshine Policy? I forgot the name of the President who made this policy but this policy states that South Korea will provide food and rice to North Korea on a regular basis. When the current President occupied the seat, he ignored this policy and the rift between the two countries started again. The sinking of the naval ship before which the South Korean government denied that the cause was North Korea, was actually a warning from the latter. Now the President is trying to be careful in not making this into a big issue as to alarm other countries. They will not do anything and will try as best as they can to avoid any war.
