Is your guy easy to shop for?

Many guys are sports fanatics.. like my oldest son. He's very easy to buy for. Anything with the NY Giants emblem, or any sort of football gift (as long as it's not one of the teams he dislikes) makes him very excited. Perhaps your guy (or son or dad) is into hunting or fishing. Then any sort of camoflauge clothing is a big hit.. or a new fishing lure, or just about anything from Bass Pro Shops. Maybe your guy is Mr. Fix-It and goes crazy over tools. My guy.. he's into cars and video games. Well I can't afford to buy him a car, or anything for his car. So I'm left with video games.. and even that is dicey. There are only certain ones that he really likes, and you never know with games until you've tried them, I'd hate to get him a game that isn't very good, you know. So what kind of guy do you have? Is he easy to shop for, or difficult?

Hubby is easy, he likes almost anything. I will not post what I have for him right now, because he is on here as well. I have to get him Christmas and birthday both, as he has a birthday Jan. 4. I have it all figured out this year, just need to get the money for the birthday present and I have his done. I will share after Christmas, or he will. He is having a hard time with me, though. You guys need to give him a hint.

I drop hints quite frequently. This year I'm figuring everything I get will be Twilight Eclipse related. Last year he bought me the Twilight soundtrack.. and recently I've borrowed the New Moon and Eclipse soundtracks from the library and dropped hints that I loved them and wished I owned them. I also keep saying that I want to own all 3 movies because thus far we've just been renting. I also really really want the Scene It game.. I have the Pirates of the Carribbean Scene It and also the Harry Potter Scene It.. so I guess I'm starting a Scene It collection! I'll be happy if I get a few of those things. So what exactly is it that you want so I know what hints to give your hubby? (HINT HINT.. GERTY'S HUBBY COME READ THIS!!)

Actually I emailed him a list, he seems to pay more attention to that. I mentioned some sewing and quilting related tools. I really want more things like work done on the house, things you cannot wrap. I am probably harder to buy for than he is. Of course sometimes he finds me things I did not even know I wanted.

I can be difficult as well. This year I made it easy.. I want anything related to the Twilight series... the books, the movies, the soundtracks, the Scene It game.. whatever. He knows how bad I want these so I'm hoping I get most of what's on that list. Most years though I'm not so easy. Movies, books, or cd's that I want I usually buy for myself.. or figure why bother since I can get them from the library for free whenever I feel the need. What I usually want and need is clothes, but I can't let him pick those out for me. I have to be there to try it on and ensure it's my style and fit. Just because it looks good on the rack doesn't mean it will look good on me! He didn't do bad last year.. I was all about work out stuff, and he got me some work out clothes and the Wii Fit (which I never use, LOL) and some cookbooks. One year he bought me like 10 different things from Bath and Body works and wrapped them seperately and that was like all I got. I thought that was a bit tacky.. they should have been wrapped together.. or maybe in a set of 2 or something, you know.

My father is not an easy man to buy a gift for, but he always appreciates anything we gifted him, my brother is so easy though! Just give him a t-shirt with amazing/unique prints or some new and cool gadget and he'd be flying to the moon, I'm not married yet so I have no children, but my fiancée is just like my brother...

It's nice when they make it easy on us. My hubby loves ANYTHING I give him.. no matter what it is. But I'm a pretty good gift giver too. I'd never get him something he wouldn't like or find a use for.

I have no problem shopping for my husband. He likes chocolate, and we like the same music etc. If he wants a certain book, he'll mention it, and I'll make a note. I gather ideas all year, all stuff that my husband wants, but would not buy for himself, then I go get them for him for Christmas.

Mine likes music but doesn't have a working CD player in his car (that's the only time he listens to music). He doesn't ever read. Of course chocolate.. but that's going in his stocking!

Mine is kinda easy to shop for I just don't always have the money for the things he wants. So I guess you could say he is easy to shop for when I have the money but if I am on a limited budget then it is a bit harder to shop for him.

That's what I get mine too, not because he likes it but because he needs it! The kids and I always get clothes before he does.. so he usually gets clothes at every holiday. Though I still want to get him at least 1 thing that isn't a necessity.

Hello there! My husband's taste is easy to please. It is because he knows what he wants and if he really want it bad then of course, he will have to get it on his own, lol!

I don't a guy. I have a girl, but she hates shopping and stuff. She hates being brought stuff. If I really want to impress her, I buy her a book or donate to some charity.

My husband is pretty easy to shop for. He's a steeler fan, so anything steelers works for him. He also loves tools. I usually have a good idea of what to get him. I don't usually attempt to get him tools though because I never know what he has or what he needs. So I'll just get him a gift card and let him pick out his own stuff.

My hubby is usually very easy to shop for. Though this year he asked for something I haven't had any luck finding a pair of silly slippers you know the novelty ones where they look like something like bear feet ect. Then again I haven't been looking too hard seeing he gets stuff that he doesn't need all year long.

Hey kats! What a great discussion topic! My bf is the biggest pain in the azz to shop for ever! He is extremely fussy about everything! He never likes anything I get for him so I usually make him go with me to pick out "his own" birthday and Christmas gifts which takes all the fun out of everything, of course! But, keeps me from having to deal with returning. He told me exactly what he wanted this year and I hopefully got it! I also decided to get him a Nike long sleeve shirt, which will pretty much be the only "surprised gift" he will get and I hope he likes it! I know he is "suddenly" "into" all things NIKE! I got him the NIKE socks he asked for and the Fruit of the Loom A-Shirts. So, if I find some other little gifts I know he will not be thrilled with they will be just gag gifts because nothing pleases him! I bought him a cute brown stuffed bear at the $1 store and he put it in his closet because I had already bought him a bear and "one was enought! Anyone want an ungreatful man?

Oh you poor thing! Thanks for making me feel even luckier to have my guy, LOL. No matter what I get him he's greatful. I am usually only capable of getting him necessities.. like new slippers because his old ones are worn, new jammies cause his old ones are ripped, new work pants because he only has 2 pair.. etc... Earlier today he said that I always get him so much.. but I don't feel like I do.

No he wasn't. In fact the gifts that I gave him that I thought he would enjoy really disappointed him although he tried to hide it. One was a camera. He really looked perplexed before he smiled and said it was just what he wanted. The other one cost me an arm and a leg. I paid for a well known aerial photographer to fly over the farm and take a photograph of the whole [property from air. He had to fly high but the rivers and house and banana fields were all clearly shown plus all the buildings. He genuinly could not understand why I would go to this expense when he knew every inch of the bland from the ground It was beautifully framed too in black and white. The children and I still enjoy looking at it.

You are so thoughtful Cynthi.. I would think he would have loved those gifts.. I wonder why he didn't. I'm reminded of a story that you'll probably love to hear! My husband is not very good at giving gifts. He does try to get me things he thinks I'd enjoy, but it's usually not what I was hoping for so I get a little disappointed. For instance one Valentine's Day when I'm hoping for a romantic gift, he buys me a computer game... which would have been great on another holiday but it is not a romantic gift! I'm also usually extremely disappointed at my birthday because it falls in the same week as our anniversary, mother's day, and my oldest son's birthday. Needless to say the oldest son's birthday is more important than the other holidays so I rarely get any gifts for myself that time of year. Anyways, one year on my birthday he comes home from work carrying a rather large box all wrapped up. He comes in and gives it to me. I sit there staring at it, not knowing what it is.. but I did not want to open it. He keeps pressing me to open it, and I say "No, I already know I'm going to hate it, so I don't want to open it." I was really hoping for a digital camera that year.. I'd been telling him almost daily that I wanted one, but I also knew we couldn't afford it so was expecting disappointment.. then he brings in this large box which obviously cannot be a digital camera, so I was already depressed. Well he really wanted me to open this gift.. so after an hour or so of attempting to put it off.. he finally convinced me to open it. So I open it up and see that it's a Photo quality printer. Well I already had a regular printer.. so I was definitely disappointed! Until... I notice on the box that this photo quality printer comes with..... A digital camera! Probably the best gift he's ever given me! (aside from the kids, LOL)

My husband is actually someone that is very easy to shop for. He likes history related things, gadgets for the kitchen, tools, video games, electronics, and the list goes on and on actually. This year for Christmas he is getting a Slot Car Set that I found on sale on Amazon and a new chair for his desk. Last year we went in together and got ourselves a new television. He chose to buy himself a moped for his birthday this year. But if he didn't buy something for himself, then I would have no problem at all chosing something for him.

I never seem to have any trouble shopping for the females on my christmas list. the guys are a different story. I never know what to buy them. if they tell me up front what they want, it makes it a lot easier.

Yes. My ex-boyfriend used to buy things for me. He was so familiar with the things I like and things I use. I don't like very expensive things. I only seek for quality. What is important to me when buying things is it must be reasonable. I love it when he buys me clothes or shoes. I love shoes a lot and I use it all the time so I have 2 o 3 pairs at least. Since they are in good quality, I don't have to buy often that's why my boyfriend has the chance to buy me one whenever he find something that he thinks would look good on my feet. I believe other guys do this too!

Mine is pretty easy to buy for, he has a ps3 so this year I have bought him a couple of games for that. We dont spend loads on each other, with having a lot to spend out at christmas its hard to have much money to spend on each other, so i have just got him some aftershave and a top to go with the games and that will be it. But he is not fussy at all, which is a blessing!
