you realize that your voice is not so nice as a good singer but singing is an exiting activity. However some people are not so confident to show their voice because they think it's terrible. But the others are so confident though they realize they may be irritate other. how about you? belong to which group are you?

I remember I got so drunk that I forgot my "no singing in public rule" and sang in the local videoke of our barrio...well, needless to say, many people shouted at me to shut the hell up!!!! But I was so into the song that I finished it...my voice became a legend...it woke everyone up from their slumber!!!

haha, marapplestiffy, i like what you said that your voice became a legend. it really is a bad thing for people to wake up just because they heard your voice. but, yeah it really felt good when you let your singing voice be heard even though you are not good at it. we all have freedom and it feels good to let our voices out.

arriefa, have you heard of tsunami and other natural disasters? Such natural disasters happen if I try to sing even in bathroom, you can imagine the quality of my voice . As I am praising my voice here, I am wondering if this will make the mother nature angry. As far as singing is concerned, I will say

annavi23, you must be thinking that it was a joke but it actually happened yesterday , last evening it rained heavily in my area, not even in whole city. Actually, after replying to this discussion, I feel that I should prepare for "India's got talent".

Hi arriefa!. I am a terrible singer so singing in public place is something I avoided. I think I better give the singing part to my others friend who can singing beautifully and can entertain others and hurt their ears. I can enjoy song and sing in my own room or space but its will never on stage. I have others friend who can sing really beautifully.

Hi arriefa! I'm not confident! I don't know, but I really have a stage fear. But you know,I was able to overcome that fear once when I sang in front of so many people,it was our induction night at the company and I was tasked to sing. I was really, really nervous then,my hands are all shaking going up to the stage, you know what I did? I breathe and then prayed,Lord please be with me when I sing, hold the mic for me Lord so it wont shake. You know what,by the time I hold the microphone, the nervouseness I'm feeling..gone for the whole time that I sang, and they all clapped their hands for me and I went down the stage with a smile and I sitted and thanks the Lord that He was all the time with me in my singing number! It was an unforgettable night then! Didn't know I could make it!

Hi annavi! Really can't forget that experience as far as singing is concerned. I believed God sang with me that time so I had to share it everytime a friend opens a topic regarding singing on stage. I'm glad you liked it! See you around!

Am I confident to sing in front of the public? Not at all. But I'm confident enough to sing around my family and very close friends because they really don't mind my frog-like voice. It's funny because they always tease me about my voice but then, it's me who gets to sing a lot 'cos they always give me the microphone! Hahaha!

If I have the talent, then it wouldn't be a problem. It takes a lot of courage and self confidence to perform in public. I can sing but I don't have that wonderful voice, that's why I keep to myself and my family. :)

Woah I won't have the confidence to sing in public. Well, when I was in high school, I used to sing when I'm sitting with my friend, because I know he won't mind. LOL! Public is definitely a NO NO for me.

hello judge! well,i think i can be like you at times. i just sing when i am most of the time alone, but with a friend, depends on the friend who i am with. cause there's friends or people who i am not that close with that i felt shy to let my singing voice be heard. so i just prefer to sing alone most of the time. well, when i am at home, i sing along with my baby niece who loves to sing. we can sing anything we like to just that we are alone in the house. it felt happy cause i can sing whatever i like when i am with her. i just sing with friends who just don't mind my singing voice also. but in public and in front of too many people, i don't have the guts to take the action. i can only sing when i know no one is around. or i am blindfolded i think and i don't know if i am in front of so many people i think i can do that! have a great life!

I belong to the shy type group who doesn't want to sing in front of the public. I don't have that really nice voice but i know how to sing most certainly. I don't mind people having really bad voice sing in front of the many, they are free to express themselves and free to sing their lungs out.

i would say i belong to the first group which says, not confident with singing in front of others. but i can sing in front of a friend,i would say. only if they would also sing with me too. well,i have sung in front of a friend's family, with microphone but my voice is not that good but still it made me feel good after singing along. it is really nice to sing in front of others once in a while to make one feel more comfortable with the presence of others and help yourself not to be too shy when singing in public.

No i wouldn't sing in public besides the fact of lacking the courage I cant sing even if my life depended on it. I am a writer and that's what I do best my singing would prolly ruin lots of peoples ears.

I have been feeling is not a very confident person,in many cases,I'd rather oneself is unknown, not very dazzling, can say I'm a low-key person, but in singing on the one hand,I am not such, for singing,I am very fond of,from think in this aspect is still a little talent,so in public,I won't be afraid, also be willing to before everyone singing, but only in singing when I didn't know what to do.

This is so funny. I have been going to church choir recently. While everyone else is singing, I pray for that the choir would be unity. I am not confident in my singing. I do enjoy singing to the Lord though. I have no problem singing during church, is the funny thing about it.

No, I'm really not confident enough to sing in public. I will only do it, if I really absolutely have to.

I'm all right when it comes to sing in front of an audience. I'm not too shy and not too confident either. My singing skills are not of a professional singer but I can say I'm not tone deaf either. The first time I sang publicly was in college in a class. In that particular class, our teacher teaches his lessons through several games. On some instance, those who lose the game will have to perform something for the class. I chose to sing. I was trembling at first but it was all right. The next time I sang was in two parties, then another one at a friend's house. She invited me at their house blessing. I felt awkward at first because my friend and I were the only ones on the karaoke machine and for several hours, the two of us were taking turns. She then had to leave for a moment and I had it all to myself. The other guests were either talking to each other, playing with the children, or on the yard. I was reluctant and shy at first but I felt comfortable later on.

I think I can sing ok but I am still embarrassed to be seen. I have sang on stage before but I was really nervous. I used to enjoy going to karaoke bars and loved to sing, but I think I am becoming more afraid now.

I am happy singing in a group such as a church congregation. I am not as comfortable to sing alone. If i was a singer, I would have to find a second job to get by.

ha,I think I can sing a song in an exiting activity. Because I deem persons should express himself/herself to the other people and being welcome by more people. Your idea is same with many persons whose voice is not so nice as good singer. we could comprehend you,but I suggest to try singing next time.

I'm inherently self-conscious, and actually very shy, plus I have a stage fright. So even though I'm definitely not tone-deaf, I tend to avoid singing in public. During childhood, I was always too shy to sing in front of people, but now maybe not so much anymore. However, I'll need a mic 'coz I sing in falsetto (I dunno why but I have been doing that since childhood), and I can't sing very loud that way. It's okay if I need to sing alone, but with other people also singing along nobody would hear my voice so I find that a futile effort (which I don't want to do), unless if it's a duet (different notations, hence: my voice would be heard). So if you wanna take me to karaoke, get me a duet song I'm familiar with & we'll rock on.
