Friends that are not on her anymore

There are alot of friends of mine that are not on here anymore and they have been members for over two years, just like i have.At one stage they were on here every night, or at least most nights,now some have not been on here for a month or so.Strange thing is, i have been told why two of them no longer come on here,strange all the things you get told about by people.Thought it was strange why they never came on here anymore, at least i know why now.

It leaves me with a sorta, empty...big hole, when I do not hear, anymore (or see) from friends I have made here at myLot! I really value these friendships, and I always think about them, and pray that the reason they are NOT here is because of GOOD things...not bad! But always wonder! I am glad you have found the facts about two of the people...but am sure there is that gnawing feeling about the others! Sometimes, it irks me enough that I PM them and hope that I am NOT being intrusive, but just to let them know I care. Happy season!

I missed you when you were gone, but it seems like you were gone for a long while. I have my spells when I am here less,work related or now, because I can earn more elsewhere.

Thank you ever so much dear GG....I, too, missed wonderful friends like you! In early June, my less than two year old computer crashed, so a new one was necessary...and you know how Murphy's law goes, it happened at exactly the time that my property taxes are due...and they are more than the price of a new computer here in B.C. Property taxes, over 3 grand, computer $1500.00, so it was a "no-brainer" that I needed a place to live over a computer. There is a computer at the Public Library, but as I had to work extra hard, I didn't have the luxury of time!

I have some friends that I have not heard from in ages and they seem to have stopped posting. Some did eventually come back. I suppose life just takes over and they no longer have the time to MyLot or they may just have found somewhere to be. I don’t concern myself too much. I have emails addresses of some friends…I just hope they decide to return...

I am a long-time member myself, and got out of the habit because I was so busy working outside the home! But I still can't afford to be here as much as I'd like to be since I get so tired now (that and because I'm on a darn iPhone responding instead of a real computer)! I used to earn $10 a month at least--now it's been about two YEARS since I've had a payout! I too have noticed that many of my friends here on mylot have moved on :( The discussions posted are not as interesting (to me) as they were two years ago now either. I just starting posting responses again a few months back again because I know that I can get paid online here--other sites are not legit!

I've got a lot of friends missing from mylot as well. It seems that they are bored of life in here, as well as being busy with their offline work. For some others, they are temporarily missing due to the festive period, embarking on holiday trips.. haha =D While some of my friends, are turned off by some mylotters whom ain't keen on responding, while only care about starting new posts.. lol =D I guess mylot is losing its charm soon

I have been inactive for months but now I am back. My reason is different. I was just busy with my full time job and my home-based business. Now that it is Christmas vacation, I can participate at mylot. I just wish I will have enough time to read and post at mylot when I go back to work.

I love to come on here as there are always good discussions being started all the time, but it is a shame that there are less people that are now on here that were on here all the time at one stage.I feel like there are people that like you come on here when you can and there are other people that come and go and never come back.

Honestly, the rules make it hard for some people to come on and start discussions and then there are some really nasty people in mylot too.
I had a fiend on here and when she and I got into an argument about 20 others quit responding to my discussions.
There are clics' here.....you know, groups of members who gang to together and will pick on some members too.
I am very careful now who I talk to and what discussions I respond to.
I have started four.......I think four discussions........that admin. deleted due to the rules when to me there was no problems with the discussion I began.......
Oh well, I like mylot but even so it gets so one doesn't know what to say to whom anymore.

That sounds really horrid, people getting your discussions deleted as well as people getting nasty in a discussion.I come on here to have fun and to get adult conversation, stuck at home and have children, so i do not get chance to see many people, great way to chill out as well as stop smoking, well cut down on smoking,lol.Sorry to hear that there are a few people on here that are nasty, i thought they were only like that on facebook,lol.

Well friend it's not only you who has friends who are no longer here and indeed some are no longer here for some very strange reasons but i think that most of those who are not any more have more or less valid reason like they are quite busy with life which prevents them from going online or some may have become bored at ther slow pace or whatever but the fact remains that here in mylot as well as in other sites, it is normal that many who sign on later disappear whether for normal or strange reasons. of course we will miss our friends but then that's life.

Hello my friend.
I was just reading a topic on this subject the other day and was saying how people might be partially offline due to the holiday season and all - you know, spending more time with family, Christmas shopping, or cleaning the snow on their lawn maybe ?
I know i have been less active this year at mylot, since february up to november, due to an exhausting work job that was really demanding and wanted lots of extra hours for low pay, but now, i am back, and i managed to answer topics for half the friends on my list, and trying to get the other half as well soon. I even qualified for another payment, but i might hold on to it for another month (by extending the limit to 25 i think).

I haven't been here for very long. But I find mylot as a good place to express what we cannot say to our family or even friends. You also get good opinions from other people that can help you resolve some of your personal concerns. Those who were not here anymore, I just think that they may have very strong reason to start coming.

Hi Jugsjus! I was wondering why I no longer see a few of mylot friends here whenever I log on. And yes, seems that I had missed them for a month or so. I was just hoping...still do...that they are just taking a break and would be back soon.

I guess I have been diplomatic enough not to tick off the wrong people, as I haven't run into the cliques yet. I do try to be nice and polite and consider others' points of view -- I know it's "just" the internet but if I'm ever in a bad mood and say something a bit snappish I always feel bad about it later.

hi friend' guess it just comes to show that nothing is permanent and everything is bound to change including friends, friends come and go but some remain, friends when we were kids, friends in high school, college, in work yes in mylot,things have excuses and reasons, so please don't take it hard , let's just continue our Mylottings

Eventually some people just stop coming online. Sometimes they slowly grow apart from it and sometimes they just go cold turkey and stop all together. Whatever the reason maybe for not coming on is there own but like all of us we will one day stop using this because we get too busy with life, find this to be more of hassle, or etc. But when old things disappear you replace them with new one and remember the old.

hi jugsjugs I also have some friends who started when I did and do not see around. Like you say they were very active then just suddenly they'
were gone. I my self do not know why but miss some of them so muchand wish they would show up again. I know if you quit I would really feel
badly as I enjoy your discussions. I also admire how you cope with all your children, and family and health and still take time out to mylolt too.Perhaps some who are around somewhere close by will stop in when
they see your discussion. I hope nobody here has given them a hard time as that happens so much in other forums

I took seven months off from Mylot myself. I have to agree with what others said that some may have just grown tired of the cliques. I suppose it is like most forums in that people will come and go. Its sad that it is like that but perhaps it is good to keep new ideas flowing.

It is also the same thing for me. There were few members that I used to interact with but it's been a long time that I don't see them anymore. I mean their account is still exist but they just never came round and participate to discussion anymore. I know that few of them are now busy working on another site but not with the others.
