Do you have any New Year's superstitions? In the South one of the traditions is that if you eat black eyed peas on New Year's Day, the year will be prosperous. I am planning on a big helping tomorrow!

I grew up with the black eyed peas tradition. Others have other traditions, like cabbage or something. I am the only one who really likes blackeyed peas here, and so sometimes I do not get them. I was happy to see that I have a can full in my cupboard. You know what I will have tomorrow for lunch.

Hello friend Each country, religion has set of such stuff, what is unlucky, bad for one may be lucky, good for others, like 13 is bad number, cat crossing your path has badluck for you etc But for me 13 is a good lucky number lol When a cat crosses my path, may be in a street, i am the first to move on, while others keep waiting for somebody to pass, they think, this person will take away the bad-luck with him.. have not heard about eating black eyed peas Thanks for sharing Cheers. God bless you, have a nice day ahead. Professor ‘Bhuwan’. .
