I am fed up of seeing it rain as well as it being cold, this is really not helping with peoples happiness, as when it is like that outside as well as it getting dark early, people just seem to be really down.My body hates the cold, also i have been told only to go out side when i really have to like the hospital and drs.I am getting really fed up of seeing the same old four walls it is unreal. With it being so cold i can not even go out in a shop in my wheel chair. It would be really nice just to get out of these four walls, i hate it.

Everywhere in the world should be facing the same problem now too. After the big freeze and snow in europe, it's rainy/cold weather in other continents. Even in singapore now, we are facing a cold spell which recorded a low of 22.1 degrees. Though there are not that much rainfall, but the cold wind blowing due to monsoon, is making everyone hiding in the comfort of their home.

I love the cold!! haha =D It only comes 3 months a year, and i should cherish it!! After the cold weather is gone, it's gonna be hot weather for about 9 months or so, and it's gonna be real hot due to global warming!! haha =D I dun mind the cold as long as there's no heavy rains or even flooding. If not, i would be cooped up at home, so boring!! haha

I hate it too, Jugs! I have severe depression and SAD. No fun this time of year. My daughter is feeling the effects of the Winter blues too right now. We just feel so confined and with no sunshine it is awful. The inversion doesn't help either. Makes for gloomy, ugly days.

This year the cold has been getting the best of me as well. I am lucky that I'm able to get out of the house when I want to. However, there is too much cold and we've had too much snow for me to really have the desire to get out of the house. I do tend to have those times, however, that I get stir crazy and that means that I don't have any other option but to get out of the house at least for a little bit. It really is amazing to me what a quick trip to the grocery store can do for my well being.

I hate the winter too; the cold and short days drive me crazy, but... Do you have a friend who might take you out on a warmer day? Light boxes (that provide sunlight during the night/dark) have worked for some people. I use to have one when I lived in Portland, OR, where it rained all the time. Over the long term, have you thought about moving to a warmer/dryer climate? I'm sure you love your home, etc., but sometimes a move is in order. It sounds like your health conditions could be made a little better with a possible move. Have you talked to your doctor about such?

The weather can sometimes be a hindrance to our everyday activities. I am fortunate to be in a tropical country where the weather is always to our advantage. It doesn't rain so much here but if it does then it is a welcome to stabilize the temperature. It can be very hot on some days especially when it is drought season.

I think it is important to have a change of scenery as being indoors all the time, is not good for the spirit. I am not good in cold either, but I will get dressed up in lots of clothes and walk our for around 20 minutes each day if I can manage it. To make things interesting I will take pictures of crazy things (well anything really) with my phone and load it on my computer when I get home and think about what I can write about. Just for fun... It it a change from the normal activity and that's what matters to me. Not everybody is the same though, and I can only share what I do - others will have to make up their own minds and get advice from thier own doctors and health practitioners.. _Derek

I know it's one of the things I hate the most about winter. A person can't even go outside and play with their kids or any other activities for more than a few minutes w/o freezing their tush off. Even still being outside can feel confining or atleast it does to me because I'm still home. My neighbor is home even more than I am I don't know how she doesn't go stir crazy outside of gluing her nose into a book.

I am so tired of seeing snow that I can't stand it. I have fought that stuff for the last three days to get to work. I can relate to you being tired of the cold weather for sure. Just a few more monthe left now though.

I am so anxious for spring to return..I love the warmer weather, the sun shining, and the birds tweeting in the morning (which usually wakes me up) I so dislike being stuck inside in the winter when it is cold. We have been pretty fortunate it that it has not been that cold this winter and we don't have anywhere near the amount of snow that we usually have.

Yes, I know what that is like. The weather where I am from, isn't really great now either. We have been getting a lot of rain and cloudy days. I think the lack of sunshine is making people all mad and grumpy. I can't wait for the weather to get better so that I can go outside without wearing a big heavy overcoat or lots of sweaters.

I know what you mean! It has been snowing here forever. I can't go out even if I wanted to. Cold seems to make my symptoms worse. I hate it! I can't wait until it is summer again. The only thing I want to do when it is cold, is stay under the blankets in my nice warm bed.

I live in California, and anything below sixty is too cold for me. I don't do well in cold weather. I love the heat.

When I had to live further North where sometimes the sun did not come out for months on end I bought an appliance called Happy Light. It made me feel a lot better about having to stay inside. It is a kind of full spectrum lighting that simulates the light from a sunny day. Well jugsjugs, it is just a little bit longer until spring, so hang in there.

You can watch TV or something so you'd forget the four walls. I'd hate to get sick too. It sucks having to lie down in bed doing nothing. Plus, I can't smoke.

Have patience and think positive. Soon, with the help of God, you will be able to free yourself and get out of that walled world of yours...

I can feel what you are feeling, if you are susceptible to cold weather better avoid going out, use warm clothing, room heathers or sit near fire on your wheel chair.. Sitting in a room alone makes one sad, gloomy if you keep thinking over it, so watch tv, read books, chat with some body, talk over phone, that might help lol.. Thank you so much agn. Professor ‘Bhuwan’. . God bless you. Welcome always.

Hi, Jugsjugs, I can only wish you courage in this situation. Even if it was possible, I couldn't send you some sun because it's the same story here. I hate the cold weather too. Sometimes I joke that I was born to live in a hot country. All the winter I wait for the summer and the sunny days!
