i give different situation when teach english

english is hard and difficult subject for some of indonesian people..
in my campus, english is hate subject..
especially when get many hard task for them..
some of the students become boring and lazy...because so many task...
so i give different situation for them when iam their teacher..
i still give the task but i differentiate with their ability...
some of smart students, i give the hardest task to know their maximal potential...
but for a poor, i give motivation about the important learn english..
i say that someday, you must know that english is so useful for you...and you must thanks to all your teacher which give you many task..
what is your opinions guys??

it is good idea. i think you have to give a chance to them to practice their english. you can ask your students to be your referral in mylot, because they will practice their english and it is fun for them. the last but not least you will get alot of referral. win win solution, isnot it?

there is a will, there will be a way....
you can give them assignment or home work every week. you can ask them to open mylot and sign up in mylot with your link. and the next week your student must give their homework to you. they must give their username in mylot and they must make minimum 2 discussion or respond at least 5 discussion. or it is up to you. i just give example. and also they have to print it out as their home work. but you must guide them also with YM or SMS. how about that? I think it is nice to let people know you are appreciative when they have reached out to help you. Teachers need to get more thanks and diserve more appreciation. Work and more work makes the language come more easily. Knowing the maximal potential is good so the student knows too. Striving to be the best you can be.

Well, I would just like to clarify some point here. For me their is no porr student or something, there are slow in terms of how to catch up with the lesson but i think its how you deliver the message. Its up to the teacher on how to arouse the awareness and the curiousness of his/her students. I teach before, English in particular. I always make it sure that every lessons and discussion should be exciting. So i always wanted my students to get excited everytime I teach them.

Well your ways are good but I think if they are in the same classroom that wouldn't make others do great in their class activities. If it's a tutorial classroom that would definitely right to do. But in regular setting of class, hmmm... that would create identity crisis.
I teach English too in online and classroom settings with foreigners. It's good to assess their skills on objective cases. Then that would be the basis of your teaching styles. In classroom setting it should be diverse.

I think that almost students won't welcome your tasks :) hihi.
Teaching is a hard work. You should make your students love English instead of giving them many tasks and they're more and more hate English!

off course they dont like..
it`s a liar if they like a task....
but the task is so important for them to introduce to them that english is like this and that...
and with task, make them work hard to know about english..
i know sometimes it can not work...but for some people, maybe the method can be useful..

that is good Adhy,
every student had different quality. but to give them grade, i think an average task is needed. so we could know which one is smarter and which one is not.
and every teacher had their own way to develop and encourage their students.

i dont know if iam success because iam new in teaching method..
but for me, i act as motivator for them..
i always push them to show their best potential...some of my method is a surprise task for them...
some of my method in class, is ask they one by one and ask them to say something in front of class..
some of them is very shy and speak in english, but they must do it..
and off course , many of them think it`s first time for them, to speak english in front off class..

You must keep in mind that "difficult" does not signify "challenging", which is what we should always aim for. If you've got good teaching skills and are able to make wisdom of what you're trying to teach, I guess your lesson will be successful, and dynamic.
