It's that time of the year again. Tax Time. That means some of us are expecting a nice return this year. What do you plan on doing with your tax refund? I know for my and my hubby we want to put money in our family savings, by new bedroom sets for us and the children, and get a new living room set. We are also going on vacation in Oct. so it would be nice to put some money towards tha as well. So what about you working mylotters, what do you plan on doing with your refunds this year??

LOL for the first time in my entire working life I will not get a refund. So I won't be spending any.. Hope all who do get one spend it wisely, as when I received last years whopping amount I was able to pay minimum balances and live until it all ran out. Hopefully next year I can come back and respond that I will get one and be happy with it.

I'm really a bit undecided at the moment, I have about 1200 coming back and may pay a vacation property maintenance wit it or may spend it and let the company have the vacation property. I have used it 7 times in past 30 years it is almost not worth paying the maintenance on it. anyone out there want to buy it?

Wow. You must be getting a really big refund. We will not be getting a big refund this year. I am not sure if we will be getting anything back or not because we do not have much to claim as far as taxes for getting a refund back, plus my daughter moved out and we cannot claim her either.

don't rule out on the daughter; if you have supported her for more than six months of the year, then you can probably claim her.

what i learned is the more i put into my 401k the better it is for me at the end of the year. so my refund is more this year then it was last year, but i put more money away before taxes.

Well you know of my plans to get a Kindle; probably an Ipad too. I will give some to my kids; I will buy a car as well. save some, start some ventures with some so I can have some more income throughout the year. I also want to give some to a project in Haiti I read about. I may also be getting some more due to some property I just found out my late father has and that one I will definitely save towards getting some property of my own.

If you get the ipad you don't need a kindle. i just ordered mine last night and i am soooo excited for it to get here. i reading is my most favorite thing to do so having this is going to be so great. i always have at least 3 books in purse, so to have them all in one place.

We will just stick ours in the bank and put some towards the kids college fund. I think its great that you are going to spend it on yourselves because its basically your money, you let the government keep it but I sure wish there was interest on it!

yay! I love tax refunds! Where are you going on Vacation? Anyway it's definitely a good idea to put that extra $$ towards it. As for me..I am only getting about $700 back (more than enough in my book, beats paying in like I've done for the past couple of years) SO I am thinking of putting it entirely toward a credit card that I have a balance of $900 on. I will be ALMOST out of credit card debt at that point! I know it's a boring way to spend my money but I guess I'm just rational like that. . I'm super excited...I hope my federal's coming soon!!!

Morning, momma...Oh, I wish that I could spend it nefariously..but alas, being a home indebtor (owner..LOL!)any spare funds are always directed at improvements..and quite often, those are NOT improvements..just necessary repairs! So desperately need a NEW deck...and new flooring. I did the roof two years ago, and that took a huge bite out of my savings, as well as all my tax return. So, I will be resting comfortably in the couch that is conformed to my butt..LOL for another while....but it is nice to dream! Have a great weekend, momma!

YO...momma...NO sense in having pretty things, if the roof over them is leaking! But I can always dream...can't I? Sense and sensibility seems to be the govenor...always whenever a spare dollar crosses my palm! I PM'd our good friend fjaril..about 5 days ago, and have heard nary a thing, have you seen him on the "lot"...I had a few days of issues with my computer, and was not receiving notifications...! Take care!

Hubby and I plan on putting ours in our savings account to build it up some for in case of an emergency. We want to take some trips too but first we need to build up our account just in case something happens that we need money to cover so we don't have to use the credit card. Oh I hate credit cards because they get so many people in trouble but the good side of them is they're there when we need them.

I don't like to credit cards either! trust me that got me in a whole lot of trouble in my younger years. now i am doing great. if i don't have cash then i don't buy it. i am working on having 8 month worth of bills saved up in my saving account for a just in case fund. we too are trying to take a nice vacation in Oct. wishing you the best my friend

Well all I can say that we are paying off our van this year and the rest of the money we will have to live off of to keep the bills paid. Hoping and praying that what's left after the van payoff will tide us over til next years refund. Nothings easy out there and the costs keep going up and incomes are not. I would love to get a new living room set, it's something we need as well. And a vacation, we don't take those... day trips are usually even out of the question.

Hi dear, I have already submitted the supporting papers for the tax exemption. Only the housing loan statement is sufficient enough to provide for. We got a slab limitation and beyond the limit whatever savings won't make any difference. Insurance, National Savings, House Rent, Infrastructural Investments, etc are the basic exception categories for it and the education for the further 2 months would be more. Thank-s
