Another Lefty Political Rally... Another pile of trash left behind.

Will the left never learn? If you leave trash behind, it's going to get reported! Unlike the Wisconsin State Capital after the TEA party rallies, government employees and school students cannot seem to remember to GO GREEN, when they go off. When I was in school, teachers taught us ways to reduce littering. Here in Wisconsin they took the opportunity of the protest against Gov. Walkers' Budget Repair Bill to teach the kids how to litter properly. I guess, at least in Wisconsin, GO GREEN is for EVERYONE ELSE. http://althouse.blogspot.com/2011/02/how-much-respect-did-demonstrators-show.html?spref=fb

Aren't you missing the whole point of the demonstration? Aren't you minimizing the points made by people who have collective bargaining rights threatened to be taken away? Aren't these the same fought for rights people earned from the bad old days before labor unions? Maybe pointing out that they left a mess takes away some of the respect some people have for the people, but not for the points that they are making.

Not at all, Valentine. I address those points on other posts here at MyLot. Perhaps you would like to comment on them there. But while you are here, I'd like to hear what you have to say about THIS topic.

Do you have the least understanding of the word, "on topic"? As I said, I have started posts about these topic, please go to those posts to talk about those topics. The topic of THIS post is the litter the "Greenies" on the left, left behind.

Wisconsin is the proud home of collective bargaining rights and the first place for where non-federal employees unionized nearly 52 years ago. States have to balance their budgets and Public Servant/ Governor Walker is threatening 6000 public sector layoffs if his bill is not railroaded through. But unions have to take a stand - - people who believe in collective bargaining for the rights and benfits of workers need to take a stand. Me? I think they are doing the right thing and that when they camp out again tonight and leave rubbish around the area, someone will have to clean it up - - probably a public employee. Aren't the state legislators (and Congressional rep's for that matter) public servants, too?

That reminds me of the 8/28 rally in Washington--the premises were pristine when everyone left. If someone dropped something, someone else picked it up. There was nothing to clean up. However, the next rally was a left-wing response to that one and our beautiful capitol was trashed, literally. I know that not all left-wingers are so disrespectful because I know a few. The ones I know would not leave such a mess. But it seems the left in general doesn't have a lot of respect for public spaces and public employees don't respect the people they work for. They expect everyone else to sacrifice, not them.

True, Dragon, and when I posted about that mess, the general defense from the left was basically "who cares, there were people who came later whose job it was to clean it up".

I like the way you think. Your thoughts are probably the more accurate. That's a logical explanation and I thank you for it.

I could be wrong, but I think the difference between the two "groups" is that one feels protesting is a must, while the other feels protesting is something done by right - entitlement. And while the latter is true, people definitely have a right to assemble, there still seems to be a "F-U" mentality by those feeling entitled. Kind of a "WE don't have to, but YOU DO" deal. To me, messy people are messy people. I guess I'm on the wrong side of the issue for that view, though.

Acting like kids with no respect whatsoever for their state capital. Is Wisconsin sure they want these guys teaching their children?

Personally, I'd take roll of who didn't show up for class and make their jobs available for others who would appreciate them more.

Government employees are used to sitting on their backsides and collecting paychecks not collecting trash...Just what did you expect?

Actually, since it was a group of lefties, I expected just what we got. Litter has come to be expected of the Green left.

The Go Green group is just like every other new group that comes along...It is designed for a small group to make money and a large group to follow like sheep and provide the money. Idiots...

After the pope came to Canada years ago, the mess left behind the place where he spoke was AWFUL...and we made some similar comments...like how apparently this large group of Catholic youth (and some weren't youth) didn't believe in abstinence from LITTERING

Yup, it's a human frailty. One that can only be overcome with forethought and preparation. Forethought and preparation that has become a TEA party trademark... unfortunately the "Green" left hasn't figured it out yet.

This is just wrong. I mean come on. How hard is it to bring a trash bag with you went you head out the door to go to the protest. That is what I always do. It is what most of the tea party people I know do. They are very careful NOT to leave a mess.
