Have you ever just had a string of bad luck all at once?

We are having a bit of rough time right now. My husband's job will be lost any time now. We are just waiting for it to be official. I have been sick for nearly 3 months. My husband bumped his elbow and somehow ended up with a staff infection. Each of our kids have been sick, my husband's computer is dying, and our TV is also dying. I know things could be a lot worse, but it just seems like when it rains it pours. Have you ever just had a string of bad things happen to you all at once?

I have a anti-lucky jeans pant. Whenever I wear it something goes wrong to me. About 5 months ago I was wearing that pant and I lost my 2100 rupees it is almost $50. Then again I was wearing that pant and I was robbed on the road and I lost my mobile and 1000 rupees again. For the third time I worn that pant and go to my university there I fined 300 rupees by a teacher for violation of University rules. LOL......

Yes, and quite often. Since I have moved into my house I have had some pretty good things happen, thank God. And when it rains, it does get heavy sometimes but it is not unbearable as it was before. I pray God sees you through all this and you have a good report very soon! Hang in there.

Thank you. It could certainly be worse, but it is hard not to worry, but I do believe things happen for a reason.

My string of bad luck started about 3 and a half years ago. My wife left me and took the kids, my job closed down not long after, I was on unemployment for 2 years and that ended. I am now a 99er. I currently have no source of income and I am broke. Thank god for my parents, they have helped me so far. Finding a job in this economy is extremely hard. I have been trying to make some money on the internet. I belong to this site and a few others in the hopes of making some income. I am now at the end of my rope. Somehow I survive. I feel your pain, believe me.

Yes, sweetie. You are not alone. I got scammed by a networking company, my debts were due all at once. My classroom got ransacked by some sick kids. I caught allergies by eating fish. Had my tire flat on the way to work. Sh*t happens sometimes. It happened to me in two weeks. But I still have high hopes that I can make it.. :)

Yes, You certainly can, we just need to keep going when these kinds of things happen to us. Hopefully there is something better on the horizon.

I am sorry to hear of all this happening at once. Hang in there, it seems that a lot of bad luck can turn into something better than you had ever imagined. Maybe he will find an even better job!

I would say that it has been happening for us for at least a year. I am glad the health issues did not wait until the job was gone, as you still have insurance to cover it. I bet the stress is a large part of what is keeping you sick, though, Rae. You just cannot get better because of the stress. I hope they continue delaying the job loss and that his elbow gets better quickly so that he can look for more work.

His elbow is much better, thank goodness. That could have turned out a lot worse. I am sure stress does have a lot to do with it. They did a chest X-Ray and everything is fine so I don't know why I am not getting any better.

Yes, we've had this happen. It seems like the past ten years have been nothing but bad luck, with a few years of good luck thrown in there just to mess with our minds. I hope everything will get better for all of you. I don't know why everything seems to happen all at once. Maybe it's because when bad things happen one at a time, we don't notice all that much because it is easier to handle. But, when a bunch of bad things happen at the same time, it is so hard to take!

I have experienced this. I failed an exam, my girlfriend got pregnant, and my grand pa was rushed to a hospital because of stroke.

oh yes if course. whenever things such as that happens, it's always like that. I started a new job, I hate it and am miserable. On top of that my first week at the job I had ask for two weeks off cause I had gallstones and just got my gallbladder removed. Around the house 3 things broke and needed to be fixed, bigger items of the house and needed to pay people to get it fixed (my parents issue, but still). All of these things happen very close together, usually at the same time. It can never be spread out throughout the year, those bigger things all happen at once usually.
