My kids are funny

So we're eating breakfast this morning, and Cary's pouring himself some milk. So I walked over and said, "thank you for the milk, Cary." He just glared at me, and walked off with it, but not before dropping the carton. "Was that my fault," I asked. "Yes," he glared. So I tickled him to make up for it. Naomi was laughing, so I told her she was next. You should have seen the look on her face.
So then Dearra was rooting around in the refrigerator looking for something, and Naomi said, "you aren't a scavenger. You don't have to eat whatever drops." So Dearra looked at her funny, laughed, and said, "what the heck? I didn't drop anything." "I was talking to the dog," says Naomi. Oh yeah, silly us. Yesterday I dropped some scrambled eggs on the floor, and today the dog was expecting a repeat performance.
So then I was talking to Dearra about her anxiety, and how her stomach was, and whether she should stop taking her meds again. She still has butterflies a little, so I told her to keep taking it. And then we got into a discussion about how she'd never feel like going back to school again if she vomited on another kid. I said, "so what, kids vomit." "Oh yeah," says Dearra, " I go back to school and they're pointing at me - she's the one who puked on me. You wouldn't go back, right Naomi?" "I wouldn't care," says Naomi. "In fact, if somebody teases me about it, I'll just glare at them and say you're next." Go Naomi. lol

Thank you for stopping by my discussion, so now I stop by yours. You have fun with your kids I can see from your discussion and responses. That is good as kids grow up so fast. I have a litle one and I do look forward to having fun and of course he headsaches too. lol

My daughter puked at Pizza Hut but that did not stop her from going back. It sounds like you had a very interactive morning. How is the dog doing? Sounds like he is fitting in just fine. Knows who loves him and drops extra food for him. Right now we are busy making a pot of our blue plate special for the cats. Yum.

The dog definitely knows who the food God is. :D
I think it's different vomiting in a restaurant as opposed to ON somebody you know at school. But then teenagers are sensitive about everything!

We feel happy to listen about your children.
The actual wonder is my friend dawnald is treating the pets also as her family member.
Great sense of humor.
I love to listen your words about dogs.

Sounds like a busy time all day at the home of dawn; never ending but certainly a great deal of humor.

Very busy day, got home, fed everybody, went to Dearra's appointment, did dishes (guess who let the food sit out while I was gone), pooper scooped, watched soaps...

And oh yeah, I just remembered a friends kid who's just so cheeky & funny. She'd innocently sing "Luncheon meat is falling down" & "Shame shame go away, come again another day" instead of rain go away, haha!~
And when her dad called her a little punk she told her dad off "You la, you pangsai" ( "pangsai" means poo poo in our Hokkien dialect ). That's just so hilarious!~

Dear Naomi has the right idea. I think for kids embarrasing moments are frozen in time and they just cannot move forward from that moment. I remember when I called my daoctore soon after having my hysterectomy and in the throws of a what felt like a nervous breakdown/anxiety attack all rounded into one. He told me, "It's all in your head." I was shocked! And I will never forget that. I had control over it I just didn't know how yet. I learned. Wasn't easy. I hope your daughter can.

And it is amazing to me that we only use about 10-20% of our brains. We have so much more control than we give ourselves credit for.

kids will always be funny, i guess it is part of their nature and part of what makes them adorable.. when i do spend time with my 3 kids, i can't help but also see how funny they are. They would make simple remarks that would make me laugh and smile

Your kids are not the only ones that are funny. I've only got the two kids, but they are constantly coming up with things that are absolutely hilarious. Paul being that he is four years old is a mocking bird and will also pick up on other things that people say and will later use them in the right context. The thing that makes this the most funny is they are never things that are expected out of his mouth.

Yep it is. I love it when we have funny mornings, as opposed to them all fighting and killing each other!

That's so cute. Sometimes kids are funny and the best part is they just don't know it. In my opinion those are the best moments you could remember.

What a girl! Full of confidence and high self esteem. Dearra will soon be okay. Just hang in there. An dit is okay to frop the scrambled eggs dawn - it really is. It is when you throw the tea pot out of the window instead of the tea leaves then you may be considered a little stressed. I have done both

The attitude kids nowadays carry is awesome! My three year old talks like she is 20 and god, does she make me laugh all the time. And the only person my husband is scared of-literaly-to talk to! Lovely kids you have dawnald. I guess mine will be like yours in a few years
