So we're eating breakfast this morning, and Cary's pouring himself some milk. So I walked over and said, "thank you for the milk, Cary." He just glared at me, and walked off with it, but not before dropping the carton. "Was that my fault," I asked. "Yes," he glared. So I tickled him to make up for it. Naomi was laughing, so I told her she was next. You should have seen the look on her face. So then Dearra was rooting around in the refrigerator looking for something, and Naomi said, "you aren't a scavenger. You don't have to eat whatever drops." So Dearra looked at her funny, laughed, and said, "what the heck? I didn't drop anything." "I was talking to the dog," says Naomi. Oh yeah, silly us. Yesterday I dropped some scrambled eggs on the floor, and today the dog was expecting a repeat performance. So then I was talking to Dearra about her anxiety, and how her stomach was, and whether she should stop taking her meds again. She still has butterflies a little, so I told her to keep taking it. And then we got into a discussion about how she'd never feel like going back to school again if she vomited on another kid. I said, "so what, kids vomit." "Oh yeah," says Dearra, " I go back to school and they're pointing at me - she's the one who puked on me. You wouldn't go back, right Naomi?" "I wouldn't care," says Naomi. "In fact, if somebody teases me about it, I'll just glare at them and say you're next." Go Naomi. lol
