Is this effect of tsunami?

India

It ultimately hit Japan. Friends from Philippines were also scared, I don’t have further updates. Here in my city in India, last evening at 7pm there was strong wind followed by heavy rain and hailstones. If I remember right we had hailstones falling from sky some 30 years ago. The nearest beach is 400 kilometers from here. What about your place, was there effect of tsunami? Do you have hailstones occasionally?Let’s pray for those affected in tsunami. Please respond. Professor ‘Bhuwan’. . Cheers have a lucky day ahead.

I would think that Volcanoes cause the earthquakes, not the other way around. I am not sure but that's what I remember from my Science subject. I am not 100% sure.

Well, the tsunamis hit my state. Crescent City got hit (again, Crescent City has a bad history with tsunamis). I know that it was never ending for Japan. They are going to keep having tidal waves for hours to come.

We live literally thousands of miles away from Japan and at least 500 miles from the nearest beach (which is the Atlantic ocean). So, we did not feel any effects of the tsunami where we live. However, we do have some pretty brutal storms during the spring season around here that sometimes bring forth hail. The largest hailstones that I've ever seen in my life are about the size of a golfball but I've heard reports of hailstones the size of baseballs around here as well.

Well I can't be 100% certain, because I guess anything is possible, but I am pretty sure that this storm had nothing to do with the earthquake or the tsunami. I don't really see how an earthquake or tsunami could cause it to rain, so I would be willing to bet that what you experienced was just a severe thunderstorm. I live in Florida, in the United States, so I was not affected by the tsunami, but I have friends from high school who are now stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii at the U.S. Naval base there, and they posted on Facebook that there was some minor damage there. We are all praying for everyone affected by this disaster, and I am sure that the U.S. will be sending aid to these areas as soon as plans can be organized and put into action...

maybe yes or maybe no, after the earthquake tsunami will follow. if there are affects of tsunami it will still come from the sea. thats only my opinion i am no expert. here in our country sea sides are in warning of tsunami. lets all pray for the safety of everyone. lets hold on with prayers for that is the most important help we can give everyone, specially the one who are affected mostly.

We’ve had our share of disasters here in Australia too and we are hoping for a peaceful time for a while now. It is awful to hear that Mother Nature is angry in other places too such as New Zealand and Japan. Fortunately we are too far away to feel the tremors or the aftershocks.

Here in the West coast of Us, yesterday the weather was hot, but now it's really chilly! I think it's because of the force. there was a small tsunami up a little north of us.

Why can't our govenments all get along as well as the rest of us do? The whole world is concerned for those who suffer in Japan, and were concerned as well, with other major disasters such as the Indonesian and Haiti and South American earthquakes. It makes me have hope for the human race. God bless us.

Really it is very bad and I am praying to God please save most of the people and for those people also who are affected due to this tsunami. When I seat alone I think how can God do this and why God do this. I think yes in 2012, 50% or 75% world can lost and start from this tusunami. We cant see in TV news how all cars, boats are flowing ohhhhhhhh no really this is not good. We are saved some money for future but no one know what will do in future ever we cannot say what will do next day. I am saying true or not share your views Thanks for discuss on it to know the opinion of the viewers This is a sad day

The Philippines was not greatly affected by the tsunami although some of the provinces were raised to alert level 2. Our prayers are for all those affected with this calamity.
