A little less than a year after she attacked the child, Brenda Parks passed away. Its sad, but she was a very sick lady. I guess this is the final chapter of the crazy lady. I guess I should say a few prayers for her soul. http://hosting-tributes-16753.tributes.com/show/Brenda-Parks-91040314

I went to the site & left my condolences. I can't believe I'm the only one who has! I never knew the "crazy" Brenda. I liked her before that, & I'm sorry her life ended so badly. I'm certain God takes such things into account, & she's far happier now! Maggiepie

Well, see, I never experienced anything but the "good" Brenda. Elic was there when it all came down, & I was shocked, surprised & saddened to hear it was happening. Her meds were at least partly responsible, I'm guessing, & who knows what drives a person, really, when you can't see their heart? I'm sure she's fine, now. I'm sending up prayers for her. God is merciful,& loves her, too. Maggiepie "In art, economy is always beauty." ~ Henry James

I read the obit. and also the two posts. I gather that what she was taking made her insane. Too bad, the doctors had not made sure that her meds. would agree with her. If they had made sure that the medication agreed with her, that child would not have been attacked. Was she also senile or was she suffering from Altzeimers? or was she manic depressive?

I suspect that boozing it up while taking the meds didn't help any either.

The soliloquy by Brutus for Julius Caesar comes to mind. The idea that her deeds need to die with her. She was ill. Elic, you recognized that. I went back and read one of the previous discussions.

I did, probably more than some people who only met her after she was sick. I remember her once telling me she saw that we lived here without the need of a husband and decided she didn't need hers (rumor said he was messing with the daughter.)

Was she your neighbor? Sounds like a totally different person from the obituary compared to the article but I guess you wouldn't expect an obit to say she was crazy, loving grandma sounds a lot better. I guess now whatever demons she had can finally rest. Sounds like the last few years of her life was miserable. Mental illness is no joke.

Not saying you're joking about just saying it must be really hard to be out of your mind and not realize it.

I wasn't joking, and it was very sad to see her decline. She was here when I moved into this house in 1984, and while I was never overly friendly, well, I didn't have kids... she was always a good neighbor, up until the last few years. I am glad the demons are at rest now, I can honestly say that I hope the judge took her health into account in court.

Hi. ElicBxn. I think that this woman was mentally ill. It is so sad to live a life that is dangerous and that is a detriment to others. Now that she is gone, she will have to answer to God for her mistakes and wrongdoings.

she was very nice and normal when we moved in, it was the medicine, her illnesses and her drinking that made her that way

I remember you other discussions about the 'crazy' lady. It is sad, and you kinda have to wonder why she did what she did. Reading here obit, well doesn't she sound like the perfect mother, grandmother, community citizen. It's kinda funny too that when people pass away, seems that all the bad things go with them, which I guess is good in a way. Maybe the good things she did along the way in her life will out number the bad. May she rest in peace now.

I feel bad that she got so sick and the meds she was taking made her crazy. That she was drinking didn't help tho. She was always wound just a little tight, and then she got sick and wound even tighter. I can hope that what she did under the influences of her mental problems, medical problems don't count against her soul.

I have just been into the link from one of you older discussions and she does seem to have gone a bit crazy bless. May she rest in peace now. Shame they didn't get her meds sorted in her living years eh! Huggles. Ellie :D

Yes, it's sad but she's out of her misery. There was definitely something wrong with the woman and now she's cured and at peace. I hope it was quick for her and she didn't suffer. At least she has family that will miss her and remember her fondly.
