Is there a hacker in mylot?

I was mylotting yesterday morning when all of a sudden, I was advised to terminate my activity because I was being hacked and a virus could damage my computer. I was advised to come back to this site the following day. April Fools Day was four days ago, so I didn't think it was some prank. Hmmm, please guys, could you tell me what happened?

Wow, I'm sorry. Did you formate it all? I really don't know but I think there isn't. It could be from other places you visited too, maybe.

I do not think there is a hacker on mylot, but you could be under attack by something that takes that form and gives that warning. I would make sure that you run your security sweeps. I have not had that warning, but I have heard of others who have.

eileenleyva, I believe there's something else that you might have done which caused your computer to hang due to a virus payload. Also, if your internet is connected on a network, then it could be someone else on your network could have triggered off this payload. So, you may want to retrace your previous activities prior to your activity here. I am sure if there's a hacker here, then I am sure your post would not be the only one here. You may want to check if your anti virus or security suite software is up to date with the latest updates and a legitimate one as well. Hope that you will be able to recover from this unfortunate attack.

hi friend, I think whatever it is it is more inside your pc than on our site, Try running a scan, preferably on safe mode, some malware might have gotten inside and gives pop ups in whatever you are browsing, scan with your antivirus, anti malware and anti-spyware one at a time preferably again on safe mode so other processes do not interfere, also see to it that all definitions are updated, good luck and stay safe online.

Thanks louie, my daughter did that for me. But she frowns at this site. She doesn't like any site that logs out by itself...

I don't think that you afect by a virus from myLot.Why? This is simple statistics:90% from all viruses we contact(receive) by email.Okit is important what must to make: 1-scan manual all and deep folders from your computer. 2-use an other static antivirus this is the best:www.malwarebytes.com is free to download and it is very good to terminate trojan, worms, spywhere and other hard viruses. After this aplications if the problems is not resolve you can make an sure possibility: reinstall your operating system(windows)and formatation your computer.

Maybe were you downloading something else or have you been under a real hacker attack at this moment ? At least your antivirus or firewall detected it, and I hope there is no damage in your system. Many scripts are running at myLot. I filter scripts to eliminate malicious or potentially dangerous ones : I never had an alert coming from myLot which is very secure. It cannot be anything else than a coincidence.

What is your browser then? Maybe your security features are low. But that is really alarming. If that is true, that will mean a lot --- from myLot users to MyLot's reputation. This issue should not be laughed at. Have you informed MyLot about it?

I never faced this type of problem so far. But you are saying you are being hacked! This was written there? If it is then mylot admin should aware of this and has to think about this suspectious things.

After me? Well, that is rather flattering because I have nothing to disclose at all. But you are right, it is not good. It is scary actually. I panicked and woke up my daughter....the troubleshooter...

I'm not sure about that because hackers can be everywhere and it might originate from your side instead. It can be some form of adware, malware or spyware, trying to scam u. U should do a virus scan on your computer to determine if its really infected. If there's a hacker in mylot, all users should have seen that message and mylot would have been down right? I don't think the hacker is from mylot.

It's likely some jerk with low self-esteem is playing around with you and others on here. Don't let them get under your skin.

I don't think it's a person who does things like this. Usually when a system is getting a threat, it's defending. Have you talked to the admins of mylot, someone who maybe made the scripts or even the guy who created the code for this forum? Maybe it's a simple error for exceeding the bandwidth of the site. Was the browsing harder than usual?

Hacker and for mylot? why? Here all is open. Nothing is there to conceal. I think someone did fun with you or otherwise some virus programme was objected by the firewall of your computer.

The message might have came from a virus inside your computer and not from mylot. Update your antivirus and perform a scan.
